Chapter 1445: First Mission Hint

The house members knew about the hint function in Abyss Mission Series, so the moment Ace mentioned that a hint was available, anticipation bloomed in their hearts.

After all, the hint can help them narrow down their targets instead of searching for them without any clues.

Afterward, without hesitation, Ace opened the mission panel and bought the first hint after paying 10 million House Points, which were equal to 100 million Thief Points.

However, Ace had already gathered billions of Thief Points before entering the Abyss of Wandering Souls, so this amount was nothing to him.

Not only that, but Ace didn’t even need to convert his TP into HP, for he also has gathered millions of HP because of the House Members.

Whenever a House Member steals, Ace will receive the same number of TP. After the system upgrade, Ace has chosen not to add them to his TP and instead keeps them as HP.

This way, Ace can gather HP without converting his TP and issue missions with the highest rewards to the House Members. Even if a situation arises when he is desperate in need of TP, he can easily convert them.

The moment Ace paid the HP, the hint was revealed, and not only to him, but Ace also saw the system’s interface open abruptly in front of all the house members, and he quickly guessed the reason behind it.

=====

”System, are you kidding me?” Ace’s expression turned dark when he saw the so-called hint because this hint was akin to nothing at all.

Ace then saw the house members, and just as he expected, their expressions were also downcast; even Eva was frowning.

”The Secret of Occult lies within the Inheritor of Blood Moon...” Ace repeated the given hint before he sought Eva’s opinion since she was the most familiar with the Abyss, ”Eva, what do you think? Is there anyone who matches this description?”

The House Members also looked at Eva as they had the same opinion as Ace, and they were hoping Eva would have at least some vague clue about this cryptic hint.

However, Eva smiled wryly and shook her head, ”I’m as clueless as you all. I never heard about this ’Blood Moon’. At least, none of the higher-ups within the Lord Circle have this title, nor does any clan have such a name. Even if someone like this exists, it is clearly not in my circle of influence.”

Alina spoke at this moment, ”What about your master, that Dread Duchess Varathia?”

Ace’s eyes brighten as he almost forgot about Eva’s master, the Half-Abyssal King, who is also a part of the King Circle of the Evernight Council. If anyone has any information about this inheritor of Blood Moon, it should be her.

Eva glared at Alina before she scoffed, ”Do you think it’s so easy to get information out of her? What if this Blood Moon is important to the Evernight Council, and its information is kept secret? Wouldn’t I be exposing myself by telling them I know about Blood Moon? What excuse would I make? The sense of a Half-Abyssal King isn’t to be scoffed at.”

Alina wanted to retort, but couldn’t find the words since Eva’s words made sense, and she didn’t want to put her in danger. The other house members also remained silent, sighing in dismay.

Ace was also frustrated; if he were stronger, he could have subdued the Dread Duchess Varathia and extracted information from her, but with his current power, it was impossible.

”Well, I guess we’re back to start then.” Ace sighed before he said, ”Nonetheless, we at least have a clear target now. Winter and Freya will search for this Blood Moon or anything related to it. Eva, I won’t ask you to confront the Dread Duchess Varathia, at least not at this point, since we have chosen the Abyss Route, we might need Varathia’s influence in King Circle later, so we can’t alert it. Instead, try to use her influence in the Lord Circle and the Grand Lord Circle to search for clues. It shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

This time, Eva nodded, ”As her only disciple, I can use her name to influence the Abyssal Devil Clan. Let me see what I can do. As for others, you guys can target the Abyssal Demon and Abyssal Fiend Clans. Only these three clans would have any information about the Blood Moon if it’s as important as we are thinking it to be.”

”I’ll go to the Abyssal Demon Clan. If someone needs me, give me a call.” Noa suddenly stated in a cold tone. As for her reason, she didn’t bother to mention it, but Ace could guess it might have something to do with the Demon Race, but he didn’t point it out.

”Then, I guess we’ll be going to the Abyssal Fiend Clan territory, sister Winter.” Freya smiled and stated this while looking at Winter, and the latter did not object.

The Freya looked at Eva and said, ”Since we have our targets, we have to trouble Miss Eva to point us to high-ranking members of these races in the Myriad Hollow. As long as they are not Ascension Lord...oh, I mean Abyssal Lords, we can handle the rest.”

Eva readily agreed, ”No problem, there are Abyssal Fiends and Abyssal Demons in the Evernight Noble District of Hollow Ring. In fact, every big clan and race has its branches in all the territories of the Evernight Council.

”Depending on the size and overseer of the territory, the rankings of the council members will be different. The Obsidian Myriad Kingdom is overseen by a Half-Abyssal King, making it one of the largest and most powerful territories of the Evernight Council.

”Oh, and depending on the Council Circle, the Council Members have noble titles with their names. The King Circle members are titled as Dukes and Duchesses, the Grand Lord Circle has the Marquis title. The Lord Circle has the Earl title, and the Third Inner Circle members have the title of Viscounts.

”Lastly, the Second Outer Circles are Barons, and the First Outer Circle are simply Nobles. These are the titles of sole individuals, but the same goes for any organizations affiliated with the Evernight Council. They are merely given the title of Duke Rank Power or Baron Rank Power according to their leaders’ titles.

”Like I’m a part of the Third Inner Circle of the Evernight Council, I’m a Viscount. But I don’t qualify to have a villa in the Evernight Noble District of the Obsidian Myriad Kingdom, it’s all because of my master.

”To enter the Evernight Noble District of the Obsidian Myriad King, one needs at least to be an Earl of the Lord Circle. However, those Earls also have servants, and their family members reside in this place because it is an ideal location for cultivation. Moreover, even those servants and family members hold high titles in the Council.

”Now, all we need to do is figure out when those weak guys leave the Evernight Noble District and once they are in the Myriad Hollow...” At this point, Eva smiled evilly as she said matter-of-factly, ”You can do whatever you want with them, and then you guys can become not only high-ranking council members but also trusted subordinates of those high-ranking council members.”

The House Members couldn’t help but nod in agreement, while the newcomer among them, Zaria, was speechless.

As for the Thief Acolytes, some of them felt a chill running down their spines because if the house members can infiltrate and take the places of high-ranking officials at any time, they can topple nations if they hold essential identities.

But alas, these guys have no interest in playing politics; all they were interested in was thieving and treasures. They don’t care what would happen to their targets afterward.

At this moment, Noa suddenly spoke while looking at Ace, ”Leader, what are you going to do? We all have our roles. What about you?”

Everyone, as they all looked towards Ace, now that Noa had pointed it out, they finally realized that Ace had said nothing about where he was going. Furthermore, he was the Leader and most experienced Thief among them all. His movements in this mission were very important.

Ace’s lips curled up behind his hood as he suddenly commanded, ”Alright, the Thief Acolytes are dismissed now, you guys should go and explore the Thief’s House, from here on out, this is a private meeting between House Members and me. House members, follow me to my chamber.”

Everyone was surprised by Ace’s sudden move, and they were curious about what he would discuss with only the house members. After all, the Thief Acolytes were all under strict contracts, and they couldn’t leak anything even if they wanted to, but Ace still decided to dismiss them.

Nonetheless, Ace had already stood up, and he was moving towards his House Leader Chamber. The House Members looked at each other with confusion and intrigue before they followed him, leaving the curious Thief Acolytes behind!
