The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2543: The Dark Blood King’s scheme

The last few years had been nothing but torment for the Dark Blood King.

A constant state of anxiety gripped his mind, gnawing at him day and night. Despite mobilizing an overwhelming amount of power—billions of warriors scouring every inch of the Ninth Realm with relentless determination—they had failed.

Completely.

Not a single additional fragment of the Sacred Treasure had been found.

Aside from the first piece they had secured, the Dark Blood Kingdom had gained nothing.

At first, the Dark Blood King had been willing to accept that perhaps one or two fragments had slipped through the cracks. After all, at a glance, those fragments resembled nothing more than worthless scraps of broken armor.

But this?

Finding none at all?

That could only mean one thing.

Someone else had taken them.

His suspicion had immediately fallen upon the Eternal Soul Kingdom of the Eighth Realm. They had already begun sending spies into his domain, making them the most likely culprits.

Worst-case scenario, they had already gotten the fragment out of the Ninth Realm.

Naturally, the Dark Blood King attempted to confirm his suspicions.

He reached out to the king-level powerhouse he had previously dispatched to the Eighth Realm, demanding answers. Yet no matter what commands he issued, no matter what threats he made, there was only silence.

Silence from one man.

The Scarlet King.

That silence felt like a slap across his face.

The disrespect burned within him, igniting a killing intent so intense that, more than once, he considered annihilating the Ocean of the Blood Sun and executing the three Royal Guards Cain had left behind.

But reason prevailed.

Instead, the Dark Blood King placed them under strict surveillance and shifted his attention to another source of information.

His spies.

Although he could no longer send major powerhouses into the Eighth Realm, he still maintained communication with countless lower-tier warriors within it. While Alpha Omega Overgods of the Eighth Realm would never bow to the Dark Blood Kingdom, Blutlinie ArchDeities were a different matter.

For them, the rewards offered by a Realm Ruler—even the weakest one—could be enough to change their destiny, allowing them to transcend their limits and evolve their bloodline.

The information they provided was limited.

But it was enough.

Neither Shakra nor the Nirvana Crown Prince had used the Sacred Treasure fragments that rightfully belonged to the Ninth Realm.

That realization unsettled the Dark Blood King even more.

If neither the Eternal Soul Kingdom nor the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom possessed the fragments...

Then who did?

The mystery deepened.

Then—

The rumors began.

A new figure had emerged in the Eighth Realm.

The Red King.

It did not take long for the Dark Blood King to realize that the Red King and the Scarlet King were one and the same.

What truly disturbed him, however, was not the name—

But the power behind it.

The reports were unbelievable.

The Scarlet King had slain a king-level powerhouse of the Eternal Soul Kingdom.

He had infiltrated the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold.

He had forced a standstill against the Nirvana Crown Prince—a being whose strength rivaled his own.

It was at that moment that the Dark Blood King understood.

The silence.

Cain had not ignored him out of fear.

He had simply outgrown him.

The realization struck like a blade through his pride.

After that, information became scarce. The Eighth Realm had descended into chaos, the Eternal Soul Kingdom launching a massive siege against the Nirvana Stronghold—a conflict that lasted for months.

When news finally arrived...

It froze his heart.

The Scarlet King had been the one to gather the remaining fragments of the Sacred Treasure from the Ninth Realm.

Not only that—

He had taken the fragments held by the Nirvana Crown Prince and the Eternal Soul King.

And then—

He had faced the full might of the Eighth Realm.

Alone.

More than a dozen Alpha Omega Overgods had perished.

Including—

The Eternal Soul King.

When the Dark Blood King heard this, he refused to believe it.

He had always considered himself a divine prodigy. A once-in-a-billion-years genius. The supreme powerhouse of the Ninth Realm.

And yet—

Here stood a young man, born from an ocean of blood less than twenty years ago, whose power had already surpassed his own.

It was absurd.

Impossible.

And yet—

Every single spy told the same story.

There was no denying reality.

The truth settled like a weight upon his chest.

And what followed—

Was dread.

Overwhelming.

Crushing dread.

The Scarlet King had gathered every fragment of the Sacred Armor—

Except one.

The gauntlet.

The very piece currently in the Dark Blood King’s possession.

There was no chance that Cain had forgotten about it.

And now—

As the landmass trembled and split apart under a beam of blinding white plasma—

All his fears became reality.

The Dark Blood King raised his head slowly.

He could feel it.

That aura.

Majestic.

Tyrannical.

Wrapped in overwhelming power.

The Scarlet King had arrived.

A poisonous envy surged within him, corroding his thoughts.

That armor...

It should have been his.

It was supposed to be his weapon—his path to conquering the Eighth and Seventh Realms.

But now—

All of it had slipped through his fingers.

”Why...?” His fists clenched tightly. ”Why didn’t I kill him when I had the chance!?”

That question had haunted him for months.

Echoing in his mind.

Destroying his sleep.

And now, as the Scarlet King descended upon his realm—

It roared louder than ever.

But regret was useless.

There was no time for it.

The Dark Blood King’s gaze sharpened as he saw a streak of light tear across the sky—a blazing comet heading straight toward the Dark Blood Kingdom.

It was too fast.

So fast that even he could barely track it.

His heart began to race, yet within that rising panic, something else emerged.

Coldness.

If battle was inevitable—

Then he would face it head-on.

Without hesitation, the Dark Blood King vanished from his throne room, appearing moments later in the main square of his kingdom.

There—

Three figures lay chained.
