The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2506: A third party enters the battlefield (I)

The next few months pushed the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe into an even more chaotic and explosive state. Battlefields ignited across entire star regions, and titanic forces clashed with such intensity that even Empyrean Worlds trembled from the shockwaves.

Yet, unlike in previous years, it was not the Root that was driving the escalation.

It was the alliance.

Thanks to their newly developed runic formations and engineered bloodlines, Anark and the rest of the alliance’s great powerhouses were finally able to pierce deep into the upper layers of the Worlds of the Root and unleash devastation upon everything in their path.

Many veterans could not help but remember the earlier days of the war—when they had marched under the leadership of the Scarlet King himself. Back then, Cain had led them in the total destruction of the upper layer of a Root world, an achievement that had once seemed impossible.

Now they were walking that path again.

Of course, the process was much slower this time.

After the fusion of two Empyrean Worlds, the Worlds of the Root had become far more resilient than before. Their structures were reinforced by unimaginable levels of corruption and mutated matter.

Even worse, resistance to the corruption was not the same as immunity.

Despite their newly engineered bloodlines and protective runic formations, the warriors of the alliance could only fight within the corrupted worlds for about one hour before the poisonous aura began to overwhelm their bodies.

When that limit was reached, they were forced to retreat.

It was an extremely demanding strategy.

Yet every time they returned from battle and witnessed the growing damage inflicted upon the Root worlds—the widening cracks across their surfaces, the shattered continents, and the slowly collapsing foundations—a deep thrill filled their hearts.

Victory was no longer a distant dream.

It was becoming inevitable.

The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance returned to the battlefield again and again, each assault carving deeper wounds into the enemy.

For five entire months, the war focused almost exclusively on the Worlds of the Root.

It was a remarkable achievement.

Only a few years ago, the Root had dominated the conflict, forcing the alliance into a defensive position across the universe. Now the battlefield had shifted entirely.

The alliance was pressing the attack.

And today—

They were ready to take a decisive step forward.

Anark stood in the void, facing the monstrous Worlds of the Root.

Behind him stretched the entire army of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance, their countless warriors forming a massive ocean of power that illuminated the darkness of space.

Runic formations shimmered across their armor and bodies, while newly awakened bloodlines pulsed with vibrant energy beneath their skin.

Over the past months, their resistance to corruption had evolved dramatically.

Now they could endure the very heart of the corrupted worlds for hours instead of minutes.

That single improvement changed everything.

Because today, Anark intended to achieve the first truly decisive victory of the war.

Today, they would shatter the upper layers of the Worlds of the Root.

With a slow wave of his hand, the Myriad Sword Treasure appeared above him.

Thousands upon thousands of blades formed a vast pentagram in the void, radiating overwhelming killing intent.

At the same time, the warriors of the alliance began channeling their power into the artifact.

Streams of energy poured forward like rivers.

The treasure trembled as it absorbed the unimaginable amount of power being poured into it. Its glow intensified until it resembled a miniature star.

Then—

It struck.

A colossal arc of energy erupted from the Myriad Sword Treasure.

The attack was so immense that it could have split Primary Worlds as if they were nothing more than pebbles.

The arc crashed directly into the Wall of Fire and Flesh that surrounded the Worlds of the Root.

Immediately, the grotesque maws embedded in the wall began screaming in agony.

The attack tore through the barrier, carving a massive hole through its living surface. And it did not stop there.

The arc continued onward—

Striking the surface of the upper layer itself.

Entire continents collapsed beneath its power.

Mountains shattered.

Oceans of corrupted flesh vaporized.

It was devastation on a planetary scale.

”KILL!”

Seeing that magnificent opening, Anark roared with all his strength.

His aura exploded outward like a violent violet storm as he shot forward like a comet of destruction.

Meylin moved beside him.

Massive wings burst from her back as she immediately activated Redemption Incarnation, choosing to burn her full power from the very beginning of the battle.

The sight of their leaders charging ahead ignited the spirits of every warrior behind them.

The entire army erupted with power and determination as they surged forward.

But the Root had not remained idle.

From within the corrupted worlds, endless hordes of abominations poured outward to meet the advancing alliance.

Unlike the alliance—whose leaders personally took the vanguard—the Root relied on overwhelming numbers.

The abominations were nothing more than cannon fodder, sent forward to exhaust the enemy before the true battle began.

It was a strategy Robuke and Mikela had used many times before.

And it had often worked.

But today—

Things were different.

Meylin’s eyes glowed brightly as she pushed the Sin of Gluttony to its absolute limit.

In the next instant, her body dissolved into a vast green fog that expanded across countless kilometers.

The living mist crashed directly into the approaching horde.

Screams immediately echoed through the void.

The fog devoured everything in its path.

Abominations dissolved into raw energy and life force, which the fog absorbed greedily.

With every creature consumed, the mist grew stronger.

Robuke and Mikela’s eyes widened as they witnessed the terrifying spectacle.

The True Depravita of Original Sin had never displayed such an ability before.

Either she had only recently gained access to it—

Or she had deliberately hidden it until this moment.

Neither possibility was good.

Realizing the danger, the two leaders immediately ordered the abominations to scatter, abandoning the sacrificial formation.

At the same time, they were forced to advance personally, bringing with them the Champions and High Lords of the Root.

Meylin devoured as much of the enemy horde as she could before the mist rapidly condensed.

Her body reformed just as Mikela approached.

Her entire form glowed with stolen life force and accumulated energy, so much that it seemed she might explode.

With a single swing of her sword, she unleashed everything.

A massive arc of energy roared forward and engulfed the Warlock of the Root, blasting her violently into the ground below.

The impact triggered catastrophic earthquakes across the corrupted landmass.

Without hesitation, Meylin followed her downward.

”Damn it!”

Robuke roared in rage.

But he could not afford to become distracted.

Because Anark had already appeared before him.

The Monster of the Root poured all his strength into his massive axe, unleashing a devastating strike.

Anark responded instantly.

His eight arms had fused into two, concentrating his power to its absolute limit.

His fist shot forward like a collapsing star.

The moment fist and axe collided—

The void itself trembled.

Massive shockwaves exploded outward, sending nearby warriors flying in every direction and carving out an enormous vacuum around the two titans.
