The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2502: Changes in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe

While Cain was forced to endure the siege of the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold, peace was the one thing the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe did not possess.

War raged across the cosmos.

The battles were explosive beyond imagination. Waves of destructive power spread in every direction, clashing with such intensity that even the small worlds orbiting the Empyrean World were affected.

Entire planetary regions trembled.

Massive quakes split continents apart, and entire sectors collapsed into the void as shockwaves from the battlefield spread through space.

At the center of the war, a new figure had emerged.

The Warlock of the Root, Mikela.

The woman possessed power comparable to Robuke, perhaps even greater. The flames she commanded were terrifyingly destructive, and when they struck flesh, even the regenerative abilities of the Samsara Immortal Body struggled to heal the damage they caused.

Beside her fought the Monster of the Root, Robuke.

The two were accompanied by endless legions of abominations.

Those twisted creatures poured into the void like a living tide, flooding the battlefield with monstrous forms. Every single one of them fought without fear, without hesitation, and without the slightest instinct for self-preservation.

They existed only to kill.

And yet, despite the terrifying might of the Root’s army...

They were the ones being pushed back.

”Kill!”

Anark roared with all his strength.

The Eight Stars of Origin around his forehead blazed like miniature suns as he launched a devastating punch.

His fist crashed directly into Robuke’s stomach.

The impact was catastrophic.

The Monster of the Root vomited mouthfuls of dark blood as his body was blasted across the battlefield like a broken meteor.

Mikela clenched her teeth as she witnessed the scene.

Robuke was being overwhelmed.

The Monster of the Root had not fully recovered from the devastating wounds he had suffered more than a year ago. Those injuries had not merely damaged his body—they had also scarred his Primordial Essence and soul.

Even a being like him required time to fully restore such damage.

Unfortunately, Mikela could not assist him.

She had an opponent of her own to face.

The Warlock of the Root’s cold eyes shifted toward a young woman advancing through the battlefield.

Majestic wings spread behind her back.

A magnificent lotus composed of seven petals floated around her body, each one carrying the essence of a Deadly Sin.

Across her skin, glowing runic lines formed intricate patterns—the unmistakable mark of the Samsara Runic Set.

And in her hand she carried a sword.

A terrifying weapon overflowing with dark and chaotic energy. Countless tormented wails echoed from its blade, as if the souls of the damned were trapped within it.

For anyone else, wielding such a weapon would have been a nightmare.

But Meylin held it with perfect control.

Through sheer willpower, she imposed order upon the madness within the blade, transforming chaotic hatred into a weapon of precise destruction.

With a single wave of her hand, Mikela unleashed her attack.

Streams of blazing orange flames erupted across the void.

Each stream carried immense destructive power. They moved with frightening speed, crossing vast distances in mere heartbeats, while the corruption embedded within them threatened to rot both flesh and soul.

Yet the True Depravita of Original Sin showed no fear.

Meylin moved like a phantom through the storm of fire.

Her martial movements were far more refined than they had been only a few years ago.

During the long war against the Root, she had fought at the very frontlines. Again and again she had risked her life in brutal battles, constantly pushing beyond her limits.

Through countless life-and-death struggles, her combat skill had evolved dramatically.

However, even the greatest martial skill had its limits.

Some streams of flame still managed to strike the Sinful Lotus surrounding her.

Layers of the lotus petals began to peel away under the relentless assault.

By the time Meylin finally reached Mikela, the Sinful Lotus had shattered completely.

Streams of fire rushed toward her from every direction.

For a brief instant, time seemed to slow.

Meylin inhaled deeply.

Then the power of the Flow erupted within her.

She spun her body in a graceful arc, and a revolving golden force field burst into existence around her.

Empowered by the Flow, the barrier deflected the incoming flames, sending them scattering across the void.

Meylin had not yet reached the level required to summon the legendary Thirty-Three Petal Golden Lotus.

However, her journey along the River of the Flow had dramatically refined her abilities. She had learned to apply its power through unique techniques of Divergence, allowing her to manipulate energy in far more complex ways than before.

Pride flashed briefly within her eyes.

Channeling that confidence, Meylin raised her sword.

The blade descended like a falling star.

Mikela reacted instantly.

A blazing shield of fire formed in front of her at the last possible moment.

But it was not enough.

The sword cut through the barrier and sliced across Mikela’s chest, sending the Warlock of the Root flying backward through the void.

Pain twisted Mikela’s expression.

Her body immediately began regenerating.

However, the sword strike carried a terrifying psychic force along with its physical damage. That power reached deep into her soul, cutting through it like a blade.

Meylin did not hesitate.

She prepared to continue her charge and finish the battle.

But the Warlock of the Root was far from helpless.

In the very next instant, Mikela snapped her fingers.

Every drop of blood spilled across the battlefield suddenly ignited.

A massive explosion erupted.

The detonation was so powerful that it engulfed Meylin entirely.

The light of the blast was blinding.

Across the battlefield, warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance felt a surge of alarm.

During the past years, the True Depravita of Original Sin had earned immense respect. Her courage, discipline, and emotional control had made her a symbol of strength for many soldiers.

If she fell here, it would be a devastating blow to morale.

Fortunately, before those fears could grow...

Streams of mist emerged from the explosion.

The fog gathered together.

Moments later, Meylin’s figure reappeared.

There was not a single wound on her body.

The corrupted flames of the Warlock of the Root had failed to harm her.

Her eyes blazed with cold killing intent.

Without hesitation, she resumed her charge.

Mikela’s eyes burned with frustration.

Meylin was an extremely troublesome opponent for her abilities.

After quickly glancing across the battlefield, Mikela finally made a decision.

The situation had turned against them.

Robuke was struggling.

The abomination armies were being destroyed.

And the forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance continued pressing forward.

There was no choice.

”Retreat!” Mikela shouted.

The armies of the Root immediately obeyed, pulling back toward the Worlds of the Root.

But the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance had no intention of letting them escape so easily.

Their charge was far from over.
