The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2539: The end of the Third Sword of the Nightmare Sacred Kingdom

”ZNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN—!”

A blinding flash of scarlet light erupted from the shattered remains of the Golden Lotus, expanding outward with unstoppable force. It engulfed the entire continent in an instant and continued rising, piercing through the heavens until it reached the highest layers of the sky.

It was a phenomenon that could not be ignored.

Across the Eighth Realm of Paradise, every powerful existence lifted their gaze.

They immediately recognized the source.

The Scarlet King.

The energy signature carried an unmistakable presence—one filled with overwhelming destruction, absolute authority, and the terrifying resonance of Chaos itself. Yet alongside that recognition came confusion.

Who... could have forced Cain to unleash such an attack?

That question echoed in countless minds.

But none dared seek the answer.

The fear Cain had instilled into the hearts of the Eighth Realm’s elites was too deep. The moment they sensed his power once more, the civil war that had engulfed the realm came to an abrupt halt. Armies withdrew. Leaders vanished. Entire factions retreated into hiding.

To them, the Scarlet King was no longer merely a threat.

He was a monster.

And now that monster had awakened again.

Back at the Time Lake, there was only devastation.

The Chaos Art had split the continent in two.

A massive canyon stretched across the land, so vast it nearly reached the Realm Barrier itself. Lightning surged wildly through the sky, while fragments of mountains were thrown into the air, suspended momentarily before crashing back down.

The very laws governing the region had been disrupted.

The fundamental forces of the area twisted and warped under the aftermath of the attack, leaving behind a chaotic, unstable domain.

At the center of it all stood Cain.

His breathing was ragged.

His body felt unbearably heavy.

”Excalibur...” he thought grimly.

That Chaos Art was among the most powerful techniques he possessed. It did not simply draw upon cosmic force—it resonated with legends engraved across time itself, channeling myth into reality.

But such power came at a cost.

Even Cain could not use it without strain.

Still—

The battle was not over.

His eyes sharpened as he focused on the distance.

There, amid the destruction, stood Deniel.

At the last possible moment, the Royal Blutlinie had halted his barrage. The hundred arms of the Hecatoncheire had transformed into a defensive barrier, shielding him from the brunt of the attack.

Even so...

It had not been enough.

Excalibur had struck along the left side of his body, carving through flesh and bone. His arm and leg had been severed completely, and a deep wound ran across his torso, exposing shattered ribs and damaged organs.

His lung had been pierced.

He could barely remain standing—let alone airborne.

And yet...

The ferocity in his eyes had not faded.

The Chaos Wing still burned behind him.

Seeing that, Cain frowned.

”This won’t end as long as his heart keeps beating,” he realized.

As he analyzed Deniel’s condition, a deeper understanding began to form.

”He can use Chaos Arts with skill comparable to mine... but his mind and soul are being overdriven by the Power of Chaos. The connection he’s forming with the universe is unstable.”

That should have been impossible.

Without true mastery over Chaos, such techniques could not be wielded.

And yet—

Deniel was doing exactly that.

Then a thought struck Cain.

”Unless... this isn’t truly his power.”

His eyes began to glow faintly.

”This is being granted to him.”

His mind drifted, just for an instant, toward the nature of the Sacred Kings of Chaos and Order—beings who stood at the pinnacle of existence.

But Cain did not allow himself to be distracted.

In the next moment, he moved.

He vanished, flashing forward with lethal intent, determined to end the battle once and for all.

”ARGHHHH!”

Deniel roared.

His Ancestor Eye burned with crimson light as he forced more power out of his broken body. His muscles expanded violently, becoming denser and stronger, while new fibers grew across his wounds, temporarily halting the bleeding.

But it was not enough.

The loss of his arm and leg could not be compensated.

Worse—

His unstable mental state disrupted his combat precision.

Cain seized the opportunity.

Using the Flow, he moved with flawless precision, dodging Deniel’s desperate strikes and counterattacking with devastating force. Each blow he landed carried enough power to fracture bones and shatter internal structures.

Deniel’s condition deteriorated rapidly.

His movements slowed.

His defenses weakened.

Until finally—

Cain drove forward.

His gauntlet shifted, forming a massive cannon.

He pressed it directly against Deniel’s chest.

And fired.

”BOOOOOOOOOOM!”

The blast tore through Deniel’s torso at point-blank range, obliterating his chest and sending him crashing into the ground like a falling comet.

Cain did not hesitate.

His killing intent exploded as he pursued.

Though capturing Deniel alive might have yielded valuable information, Cain had a bad feeling about this battle.

He wanted it over.

Now.

But just as he closed in—

Something changed.

The madness in Deniel’s eyes receded.

Clarity returned.

Perhaps it was the proximity of death.

Perhaps it was the overwhelming pain.

Whatever the cause, his mind stabilized—if only for a moment.

And in that moment...

His true combat awareness resurfaced.

With his remaining hand, he formed a seal.

”Ancestor Domain!”

Cain’s eyes widened.

A terrifying surge of power erupted from Deniel’s Ancestor Drop. Now that his mind had cleared, he had chosen the most dangerous option available to him.

He activated a Fourth Realm power.

Darkness spread outward from Deniel’s body, forming waves that threatened to engulf everything—including Cain.

The domain began to close.

Cain reacted instantly, attempting to retreat.

But even with his incredible speed, it was not enough.

Even weakened, the power of an Ancestor Domain could not be underestimated.

It was about to trap him.

But then—

Everything stopped.

The spreading darkness froze mid-expansion.

Then shattered.

Fragments of energy scattered like broken glass.

Shock filled the battlefield.

Cain froze.

Deniel froze.

Neither understood what had just happened.

The Royal Blutlinie’s eyes widened in confusion.

Before he could even begin to comprehend it—

The Chaos Wing on his back flared violently.

Its glow intensified.

Then—

It began to consume him.

His life force.

His soul.

Even his Ancestor Drop.

Everything was drained.

”Your... Highness...”

Those were the final words Deniel managed to utter.

Then the light faded from his eyes.

His body went still.

Deniel—the Third Sword of the Nightmare Sacred Kingdom, a warrior whose power rivaled that of a Realm Ruler—

Was dead.

And yet...

The Chaos Wing behind him remained.

Alive.

Burning brighter than ever.
