The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2504: The Alliance’s plans

The forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance returned to their golden stronghold positioned directly opposite the corrupted worlds.

Although the battle had been a tremendous victory, the cost had been high.

Most of the great powerhouses had exhausted enormous amounts of energy, and many of them had suffered serious injuries.

They needed time to recover.

Once Meylin moved far enough away from the corrupting influence of the Root worlds, she finally allowed herself to relax.

Her aura immediately plummeted.

The woman nearly collapsed.

Although the battle had appeared effortless for her, the truth was very different.

Mikela’s corrupted blood explosion had been extremely dangerous.

To avoid suffering catastrophic internal damage, Meylin had been forced to discard more than forty percent of her own body during the blast.

If she had not done so, the injuries could have taken months—or even years—to heal.

Fortunately, the Sin of Gluttony quickly activated, devouring surrounding energy and vitality from the void to accelerate her regeneration.

By the time she entered the Council Chambers, her condition had stabilized somewhat.

Inside, several powerful figures were already waiting.

Zephirax.

Uriel.

Cipher.

Amara.

And Arkam.

The leaders of the Empyrean Kingdom that forged the alliance.

Soon, three more figures arrived.

Amon.

Bael.

Leonidas.

The authority of the Three Knights of the Scarlet Throne placed them among the highest leaders of the alliance, granting them a rightful place among the council.

Finally, the last figure entered the chamber.

The Warmaster himself.

Anark.

Every person in the room looked exhausted.

Their bodies and minds longed for rest.

But leadership carried burdens that could not be ignored.

Anark glanced at the warriors gathered in the chamber, and a faint smile appeared on his face. He could feel the immense power radiating from each of them, and more importantly, he could sense how much they had grown during these past few years.

Their progress had been remarkable.

It was not only their cultivation that had improved. Every one of them now possessed extremely powerful treasures capable of pushing their battle power to incredible heights. With those artifacts, they confronted the Alpha Omega Overgod High Lords and Champions of the Root head-on—and defeated them.

And their growth did not end there.

Although only Meylin had successfully completed her Samsara Runic Set, the rest had forged high-order Samsara Seals of their own. Those seals had proven invaluable during the recent battles, allowing them to counter the terrifying corruption unleashed by the Root’s forces.

Pride appeared in the eyes of many of the powerhouses when they noticed the approval within Anark’s gaze.

They understood better than anyone how high the standards of the True Primordial of the Void truly were. Even a small sign of recognition from him meant a great deal.

However, the warmth in Anark’s expression soon faded.

His eyes sharpened as he spoke in a solemn voice.

”This victory is a massive success,” he said. ”But we cannot allow ourselves to grow complacent.”

The room immediately fell silent.

”We have been winning before,” Anark continued, his tone firm. ”Only for the Root to unleash a hidden trump card that threw all of our plans into ruin.”

As soon as Meylin and the others heard those words, their expressions turned serious.

A sense of urgency rose within their hearts.

They needed to move faster.

They needed to set the Worlds of the Root ablaze before those monsters could reveal yet another terrifying trick.

”I agree with the Warmaster.”

The deep voice came from Zephirox, the Deus Behemoth.

A thoughtful light appeared in his eyes as he leaned slightly forward.

”However,” Zephirox continued, ”we can all agree that we have managed to stabilize the situation for now.”

His gaze swept across the chamber.

”Perhaps it is time to dedicate part of our strength to retrieving the Scarlet King’s body.”

The moment those words were spoken, complicated expressions appeared on the faces of everyone present.

The fate of the Scarlet King had remained a mystery for a long time.

Only after the arrival of the Crimson Exarch had they finally learned the truth.

Noah had revealed the location of Cain’s body.

It rested inside the World Forge.

However, he had also made one thing very clear.

That body was nothing more than an empty vessel.

Cain’s mind and Primordial Essence were gone, and Noah had no idea where they had disappeared.

Even so, retrieving the body was extremely important.

If they could recover it, they might discover a way to reconnect with Cain.

Unfortunately, entering the World Forge was far from simple.

The barrier surrounding it was even more difficult to cross than the Empyrean Wall itself. And once inside, the realm became so chaotic and unstable that even Alpha Omega Overgods could easily lose themselves within its depths.

None of the warriors present possessed the ability to freely navigate such a domain.

Given the current state of the war, risking their strongest fighters to retrieve an empty body was a dangerous gamble.

Yet things were different now.

They had managed to push back the forces of the Worlds of the Root and even wound their home worlds.

Perhaps the opportunity had finally arrived.

”I understand the danger,” Zephirox said suddenly.

His eyes glowed with determination.

”I am willing to go myself.”

Several people turned to look at him.

”If there is even a chance that we can bring him back,” he continued, ”then the risk is worth it.”

A fierce hope burned in his gaze.

”With his help, we could do more than simply destroy the Root. We might even find a way to restore the Worlds of the Root to their original state.”

His words caused many of the powerhouses to exchange uneasy glances.

Everyone wanted Cain to return.

But Zephirox’s reasons ran deeper than most.

He did not only want a leader or a powerful warrior.

The Scarlet King had performed miracles before. If anyone could achieve the impossible, it was him.

And perhaps... just perhaps... he could also help him save her own world, the one that had collapsed to the Power of the Root after the Universe Will was silenced.

Anark looked at him quietly for a moment.

Then he sighed.

”I’m sorry,” he said, slowly shaking his head.

”We cannot embark on such a dangerous mission right now.”

Zephirox’s expression tightened slightly, but she remained silent.

”The legions of the Worlds of the Root have indeed been forced back into their territory,” Anark continued. ”But there are still enemies waiting in the darkness.”

As soon as he spoke those words, a heavy silence settled over the chamber.

They all remembered.

The traitorous Empyrean Worlds.

”We cannot divide our strength while the universe remains unstable,” Anark said firmly.

His gaze hardened.

”Only after Robuke and Mikela are dead can we allow our attention to move beyond this war.”

Zephirox clenched his fists.

For a few moments, he struggled with her emotions.

Finally, he exhaled and nodded.

He understood.

More importantly, he respected Anark’s leadership—just as the others did.

Anark nodded to the group.

”Now,” he said, his voice regaining its authority, ”we must prepare for our next clash.”

His gaze turned toward the distant direction of the Worlds of the Root.

”We need to find a way to resist the corruption of the Root worlds for longer periods,” he continued. ”Only then will we have the strength to finish this war within this century.”

Silence filled the chamber once more.

Because everyone present understood the truth.

The next battle would be even more brutal than the last.
