I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 1238: If You Donʼt Pay, You Might Not Be Able to Leave

Lin Yi was already used to the onlookers.

It was the same when he set up his stall at Tangchen First Class.

Some mature young women would probably come over to ask for his phone number in a while and say that they wanted to have a paid physical interaction with him.

Just as Lin Yi had expected, more and more people surrounded him after he set up the stall.

From the elderly up to those who have just learned to walk, everyone gathered around the fruit stand.

No one cared why someone would set up a stall in a place like Wangfujing Street.

They only wanted to know how to contact this handsome little brother.

”That brother selling fruits is so handsome.”

The person speaking was a young woman in her twenties, wearing a pair of denim shorts and a trendy pair of grey Yeezys.

”Whatʼs the use of being handsome? Heʼs just a fruit seller. The money he earns in a month isnʼt even enough for you to buy a pair of shoes.”

The person who spoke was standing beside the girl.

Judging from his hairstyle, it was obvious that he had meticulously styled his hair. He wore a necklace with silver feathers around his neck alongside green cargo pants.

When it came to fashion sense, the two of them matched each other very well. It was obvious that they were a couple.

The two of them should be quite well-off. After all, the Yeezys under the girlʼs feet were worth more than 5,000 yuan.

Ordinary people could not afford to wear them.

”Iʼm just saying, heʼs indeed quite handsome. Heʼs even better looking than those popular celebrities.”

”Iʼll say it again. Itʼs useless just being handsome. You have to be rich.” The young man said disdainfully.

”Look at those rich second-generation heirs. Theyʼre not even as good-looking as me, but they have endless women around them. This is the appeal of money.”

The young girl smiled as if she agreed with her boyfriend.

”Youʼre right, but I think his fruits look nice. Iʼd like to buy some back for dinner.”

”Sure things. Those fruits are indeed quite appetizing.”

”Letʼs go and buy some. I havenʼt eaten lychees in a long time.”

The two of them walked over together. The young man looked at Lin Yiʼs stall and casually picked up a colorful lychee to taste.

Instantly, his eyes lit up!

”How sweet!”

”Brother, how much is your lychee? Give me five pounds.”

Since his girlfriend liked to eat them, he naturally had to buy more.

Seeing that the customer was so generous, Lin Yi didnʼt argue with him about the small matter of him tasting the produce.

”3,000 yuan for 500g, so 5 pounds will be a total of 15,000 yuan. Just scan the QR code.”

Hearing Lin Yiʼs price, the two of them were stunned.

Even the surrounding onlookers were stunned speechless.

What kind of fruit could be sold for 3,000 yuan for 500g?

Even if he wanted to rob them, he shouldnʼt do it so openly, right?

”What did you say? 3,000 yuan for 500g?!”

At this moment, not only was the young man angry, even his girlfriendʼs expression was unpleasant.

This person was really too much. Did he think that just because he was good-looking, he could sell fruits for an astronomical price?

At the same time, Zhang Baotian, who was not far away, also saw Lin Yiʼs situation.

However, he had no intention of helping.

This was just a small matter. Lin Yi could easily resolve it with his own ability. He probably didnʼt need his help.

If Lin Yi was not careful and attracted the attention of the relevant departments, then Zhang Baotian would step in to help.

”You didnʼt mishear. Itʼs 3,000 yuan for 500g. Youʼve tasted it too. People who have eaten it say that itʼs worth it,” Lin Yi said.

”Kid, are you joking with me? Do you dare to sell this lousy fruit for 3,000 yuan for 500g?”

”What are you talking about? Didnʼt you just say that this fruit is delicious? Now youʼre saying itʼs lousy fruit?”

”I think youʼre trying to scam us!”

”Itʼs clearly priced!”

”What do you mean by clearly priced? Whereʼs the price tag?” The young man said angrily.

”Did you raise the price because I ate one first? Are you here to scam me?”

Lin Yi scratched his head speechlessly.

”If you canʼt afford it, just tell me. I didnʼt force you to buy it, but you ate a lychee. According to the price, itʼs about 100 yuan. If you canʼt afford five catties, then at least pay me for what you ate.”

Lin Yi wasnʼt a petty person. He wouldnʼt care about a mere lychee.

However, he did not like this person, so he decided to be calculative.

The young man smiled disdainfully and looked at Lin Yi with disdain.

”What if I donʼt want to pay?”

Lin Yi shrugged. ”Then you might not be able to walk away.”

”Wow, I didnʼt expect you to be so hot-tempered. You donʼt sound like youʼre from Yanjing either, but you have to understand that this isnʼt a place for you to act like a boss!”

”Iʼm selling fruit here, so I have plenty of time. Try it if you donʼt believe me.”

”Are you threatening me?”

The young man smiled at Lin Yi.

”I donʼt have that much free time. Iʼm just stating the facts. After eating, you naturally have to pay. Youʼre already an adult, so donʼt tell me you donʼt even understand this logic?”

”Of course I understand, and if you sold it at a price of a few hundred yuan for 500g, Iʼd accept it. However, after I tasted one, you immediately priced it at 3,000 yuan. Donʼt you think your actions are a bit shameless?”

”I donʼt think so, because Iʼve always sold it at this price, and Iʼve gotten a lot of repeat customers. Of course, itʼs up to you whether to believe me or not. I donʼt care, as long as you pay the money.”

After hearing Lin Yiʼs words, the surrounding people nodded at him.

He felt that the young man was right.

After tasting it, the shopkeeper immediately raised the price. He was clearly at fault.

”Heʼs so good-looking, but I didnʼt expect him to be so dirty.”

”It seems that good-looking people like these are all idle and impractical. I guess itʼs true that when looking for a boyfriend, you shouldnʼt go for someone too handsome. As long as they have a car and a house in Yanjing, itʼs enough. Looks arenʼt that important.”

Lin Yi glanced at the 180-pound girl.

ʼLike you ever f*cking stood a chance!ʼ

”Letʼs go. Hurry up and give him the money. Just treat it as dismissing a beggar.”

The girl pulled the young manʼs arm and said.

She didnʼt want to cause trouble. She just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

At this moment, she no longer had a good impression of Lin Yi.

”Donʼt worry, Iʼll give him the money, but I donʼt have any cash here. I have to call my friends and ask them to bring some over.”

The young man was holding his phone. ”Coincidentally, they opened a new shop nearby. Iʼll make a call and be here in a few minutes.”

With that, the young man looked at Lin Yi. ”Stay here and donʼt leave. Iʼll get them to bring the money over now.”

”This is where I set up my stall. Why would I leave?”

”Good, then just wait.”

With that, the young man made a call and said loudly,

”Brother Chen, I was extorted by someone on Wangfujing Street. Can you send me some money and also bring some people over?”

”Itʼs right across the street from McDonaldʼs on North Straight. Youʼll see us when you get here.”

”Thereʼs no need for so many. Just a dozen people will do. Iʼll wait for you guys. Just come quickly.”
