I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 1213: My Conscience Wonʼt Allow Me to Leave You Behind

At the same time, Lin Yi and Liang Jinming returned to the car.

”Brother Lin, Iʼm sorry. I was tricked by Shoko Nakajima! If thereʼs a chance, Iʼll kill her!” Liang Jinming scolded.

”In truth, this doesnʼt have much to do with you. There are other things happening that you donʼt know about. In reality, theyʼre all here for me. I inadvertently implicated you. Iʼve let you down.”

”Alright, letʼs not be so pretentious.” Liang Jinming said.

”But this bunch of idiots is really scary. This is the first time Iʼve seen such a scene in my life. I almost peed my pants.”

”Your self-control is pretty good,” Lin Yi said, ”Most people would just let it out.”

”No matter what, our Liang family is a big family. Weʼve seen many f*cking things in our time. Weʼre a little stronger than ordinary people, but I was still really f*cking afraid.”

Lin Yi laughed. ”Letʼs go back first. When we reach Zhonghai, Iʼll find a place to probably welcome you home.”

”Alright!” Liang Jinming said with relief, ”Iʼve been tied up since last night. I feel like my body is going to rust.”

The two of them chatted and laughed as they drove towards the airport.

Lin Yiʼs plan was simple- heʼd send Liang Jinming to the plane first- it was the safest spot for him.

Then, he would deal with other matters.

Lin Yi couldnʼt tolerate being tricked by them in the dark!

At the thought of this, Lin Yi sped up and prepared to send Liang Jinming to the airport as soon as possible before going to do his own thing.

Yushi Mitsui was different from the Central Guards Brigade.

In order to surpass the Mitsui family in a short period of time, the Bass ore was indispensable.

Now that he had gotten what he wanted, he would definitely make use of it immediately.

If he was slow, nothing bad would happen.

But at this moment, Lin Yi realized that there was a Mercedes-Benz following him.

It didnʼt seem like a coincidence. He was most likely being tailed!

”Brother Lin, what are you looking at?”

”Someoneʼs following us,” Lin Yi said as he stared at the rearview mirror.

”F*ck.”

Liang Jinming, who was originally sitting in a half-paralyzed position, suddenly sat up.

”Really? Why does it sound like we are in a movie?”

Lin Yi laughed. ”Isnʼt real life much more ridiculous than the movies?”

”Brother Lin, letʼs not joke around. Theyʼve already caught up to us. Why do I feel like theyʼre trying to silence us?”

”Hmm…”

Lin Yi pondered for a moment. ”I donʼt want to say it, but thatʼs probably it.”

”Then what should we do now? Are we really going to die here?”

”Donʼt worry,” Lin Yi said, ”Iʼm here, so we wonʼt die.”

After comforting Liang Jinming, Lin Yi didnʼt say anything else. His eyes were fixed on the rearview mirror, staring at the Mercedes behind him.

However, Lin Yi didnʼt do anything because he saw another Honda Accord following closely behind the Mercedes-Benz.

Thinking of this, Lin Yi frowned slightly. He felt that the situation in front of him was a little strange.

There was no doubt that the Mercedes-Benz behind was one of Yushi Mitsuiʼs men, but who could it be?

Buzz buzz buzz buzz…

Boom, boom, boom…

Just as Lin Yi was thinking about these things, a huge explosion sounded.

The Mercedes behind suddenly accelerated and easily closed the distance between the two of them.

Lin Yi didnʼt hesitate and stepped on the accelerator.

Despite his excellent driving skills, he could not perform magic.

No matter how good Lin Yiʼs skills were, he was only driving a rented Civic. It was definitely not comparable to the million-dollar Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Not long after, the Mercedes-Benz behind him rushed in front of Lin Yiʼs car.

The moment they brushed past each other, Lin Yi saw that the person driving was Eliza!

At this point, Lin Yi understood!

Eliza had come to take revenge!

After the Mercedes-Benz overtook them, it slowed down immediately, wanting to force Lin Yiʼs car to a stop.

Lin Yi didnʼt resist and slowly decelerated.

”Iʼll get out of the car later, but donʼt follow me. Climb to the driverʼs seat and drive away,” Lin Yi said in a low voice.

”What the f*ck, what are you talking about?” Liang Jinming said, ”Iʼm not leaving.”

”Donʼt waste any time. Do as I say. After I get out of the car, drive to the airport and wait for me on the plane.”

With that, Lin Yi stopped the car.

At the same time, Eliza, who was in front, also stopped her car and opened the door to get out.

Lin Yi undid the safety belt and reminded,

”Come on, move the car!”

Without giving Liang Jinming a chance to speak, Lin Yi got out of the car and stood face-to-face with Eliza.

”You are quite obsessed. Youʼve already completed the transaction, yet you are still chasing me here.”

”Youʼre the first person in years to best me,” Alyssa said.

”Previously, Jimmyʼs operation also failed. You were the one who snatched the goods then, right?”

Lin Yi smiled and said without hiding anything.

”It did indeed have something to do with me, but I didnʼt take it away. Do you believe me?”

”I donʼt believe you.”

Eliza shook her head frankly. ”I donʼt believe youʼd let go of that golden opportunity.”

”The two kilograms of ore originally belonged to Huaxia. It was your people who killed two members of the Central Guards Brigade. We made you pay with blood and are now here to to take back the two kilograms of ore.”

”Youʼre from the Central Guards Brigade!”

After learning of Lin Yiʼs identity, Elizaʼs eyes widened in surprise!

”Thatʼs right.” Lin Yi smiled and said, ”Let me introduce myself first. Iʼm the leader of Team 1 of the Central Guards Brigade, Lin Yi.”

”Your identity is really shocking. Arenʼt you afraid I will expose your identity now that I know it?”

”Thereʼs no reason for me to be afraid because youʼll die here today.” Lin Yi said.

”Are you sure?”

”Of course.”

Eliza touched her lower back and took out a gun, aiming it at Lin Yi.

”I know that Iʼm not your match, but if I wasnʼt prepared, why would I have chased after you?”

Lin Yi narrowed his eyes and his expression became cautious.

Eliza didnʼt bring any helpers with her. Instead, she brought a weapon.

The atmosphere on the highway was extremely tense.

Lin Yiʼs gaze was fixed on Elizaʼs hand.

He wanted to react before she pulled the trigger. Otherwise, with his mortal body, it was impossible for him to withstand the bullet.

”Go” Lin Yi said to Liang Jinming in the car.

At this moment, Liang Jinming had already climbed into the driverʼs seat.

Her hands gripped the steering wheel tightly. His face was pale, and he was so nervous that she was sweating profusely. Even his mouth was wet.

”I-Iʼm not leaving! I canʼt leave you behind!”

”Arenʼt you f*cking afraid of death?!”

”Iʼm afraid of death! But youʼre my brother!”

Liang Jinming gulped nervously and stared at the gun in Elizaʼs hand. This scene was also a shock to him.

”My conscience wonʼt allow me to leave you behind!”

Lin Yi smiled.

”Idiot!”

Bang!
