I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 624 - 624 Youʼre Here to Show Off?

624 You’re Here to Show Off?

“That’s a good idea.”

“Unfortunately, there are too many people queuing outside. I don’t want to wait.”

“That’s easy,” Nathan said with a smile. Then he walked to the front of the row and stood next to a young couple.

Seeing Nathan walking over, the young couple froze for a moment before recognizing him and Lewis.

!!
They were also students of Zhonghai Institute of Technology and knew about Lewis and Nathan.

“I’m Nathan, an international student from Meiguo. We want to eat here. Can the two of you give up your seats for us?”

“Give up our seats?”

The boy didn’t look too good. His girlfriend was standing right next to him.

If he gave up his seat just like that, he would lose face.

“We’ve been queuing for more than half an hour. Why should we give up our seats to you?”

Nathan was stunned. He hadn’t expected this boy to refuse his request.

“Don’t you know who I am?” Nathan said. “Don’t forget that Lewis’s father was a professional boxer.”

“So what?” The boy said, not to be outdone.

“If you want to eat, go to the back and queue up. Don’t even think about taking our place.”

“You guys are pretty impressive for turning us down,” Lewis said. “If you don’t mind, I want to talk to you. Do you dare to come with me?”

“Why wouldn’t I dare? I’m not afraid of you!”

“Don’t lower yourself to their level.” The girl held her boyfriend’s hand, afraid that they would fight.

Lewis and Nathan were both notorious. If they really fought, his boyfriend would definitely not be their match.

If the school found out about this, they might even punish him.

“Let’s go. We’ll eat another day. Ignore them.”

“No, we’ll eat here today!”

“Aiya, be good and follow me!”

The woman stomped her feet angrily and pulled her boyfriend away with all her might.

Lewis and Nathan both laughed smugly.

“Hehe, how timid.”

After the young couple in the front left, the duo shamelessly stood at the front.

The people standing at the back all revealed looks of disdain.

However, based on the principle that it was better to avoid trouble, none of them argued with the duo.

Soon, customers came out of the shop and Lewis and Nathan swaggered in.

“Boss!”

When they entered the store, Lewis called out to him, causing everyone in the store to look at them with disgust.

Although this was an external restaurant, the rules were similar to the school canteen. You were supposed to wait your turn to have your order taken, but these guys were hollering for attention. They had no manners at all.

Disgusting.

Hearing someone talking outside, Wang Ying wiped her hands with a towel.

“You go ahead. I’ll go out and take a look.”

Lin Yi nodded and didn’t say anything.

“What would you like to order?” Wang Ying walked out and asked.

Lewis had come here to see Lin Yi.

However, when he saw Wang Ying, he could not take his eyes off her. He was stunned.

Meiguo was not a place where thinness was idolized. Instead, they were more attracted to the plump and healthy type.

Although Wang Ying’s figure was not as exaggerated as Ouzhoun and Meiguon women, she was thin where she should be thin and thick where she should be thick. This was very attractive to both of the guys.

“Hey, beautiful, we want two Prime-grade steaks. You should be able to prepare those, right?”

“Yes.” Wang Ying said, “Do you need anything else?”

Ever since she became a sales manager, Wang Ying often went to high-end restaurants. She knew that Prime-grade steak was the best.

The two of them were a little surprised to be able to order Prime-grade steak here.

They had been in Huaxia for more than half a year, but he had never eaten authentic Prime-grade steak.

“Do you have red wine here?” Lewis asked.

“Yes, but red wine isn’t on the menu. You can go to the wine cabinet and choose for yourself.”

“Beautiful lady, I hope you can choose a bottle for us. I want to see if you’re professional,” Lewis teased.

“Sorry, I don’t know anything about red wine. Take whatever you want to drink.”

Even though she was disgusted, Wang Ying hid it.

This was because she was afraid of affecting Lin Yi’s business.

Lewis shrugged. “Then I’ll go and pick a bottle at random.”

After ordering, Wang Ying returned to the kitchen and continued helping Lin Yi with his work. The two of them worked together very well.

“The steak is ready. It’s ready to be served.”

“I’ll go now.”

Wang Ying put the steak aside and put on her coat to prevent the two foreigners from gawking at her.

After delivering the food, Wang Ying returned to the kitchen and took off her coat in one go.

She did this so quickly, that Lin Yi didn’t notice.

After an unknown period of time, there was an argument in the shop. It was so loud that even the kitchen could hear it.

“This is a public place. Can you not smoke here?” A long-haired girl fanned the cigarette in front of her and gave a look of disdain.

“There’s no no smoking sign here. Smoking shouldn’t be a problem, right?” Lewis said.

“But this is a public place, and the shop isn’t big. If you do this, you’ll affect others.”

“That’s got nothing to do with us,” Lewis said. “It’s just a Huaxian restaurant. Why all the rules?”

“Boss, someone is smoking here. Come and take care of it.”

After cooking, Lin Yi walked out and smelled the strong smell of cigarette smoke.

“Boss, someone is smoking here. The entire room is filled with the smell of smoke,” the long-haired girl said.

Lin Yi didn’t respond directly. Instead, he said to Lewis and Nathan,

“Smoking isn’t allowed in the shop, you can go out if you want,” Lin Yi said.

“There are so many rules in your shop. We can do this in other shops,” Lewis said.

“Besides, we haven’t eaten yet. Are you going to chase us away?”

“If you want to eat, put out your cigarette.”

“But I’m only halfway through my cigarette. It would be a pity to stamp it out,” Lewis said with a smile. He had no intention of extinguishing it.

“Then go out and smoke.”

“But there’s still half of the steak I ordered…”

“Are you f*cking grinding your teeth with me?” Lin Yi cursed.

Lewis was stunned by Lin Yi’s scolding and didn’t react immediately. He didn’t think this male boss would scold them.

This also made the female customers in the shop excited.

The shop owner was so manly. He was too charming.

“Both of you, either put out your cigarettes or go out and smoke. Don’t make me waste my breath here.”

Lewis leaned back in his chair and crossed his legs. He held a cigarette in his hand and looked at Lin Yi playfully.

“What if I want to eat and smoke at the same time? What can you do to me?”

“Then I can only satisfy your request.”

Lewis smiled and looked at the girl at the next table.

“Do you see that? Other people can’t smoke here, but I can. That’s the difference. So, I hope that you can all be quiet. Their steak and red wine are not bad. Don’t disturb the mood of our meal…”

Lewis stopped mid-sentence.

He was surprised to see Lin Yi snatch the cigarette from his hand and press it on the remaining half of the steak, making a sizzling sound.

Before they could understand what was going on, they saw Lin Yi grabbing Lewis’ hair and pressing it straight onto the plate!

Ah!

Lewis screamed as the plate containing the steak shattered.

The people eating in the shop were all shocked. Lin Yi’s attack was too sudden for them to react.

“Let go of me!”

Lewis struggled with all his might.

He wanted to break free from Lin Yi’s grip, but he soon realized that it was useless.

“Didn’t you want to smoke while eating? I’ve created an opportunity for you. Let’s begin.”

“Do you Huaxians only know how to launch sneak attacks? If you have the ability, fight me openly!” Lewis struggled.

“Sure.”

Lin Yi let go of Lewis, the latter’s face covered in steak soup.

At this moment, he was like a ferocious tiger as he got up from his chair and glared at Lin Yi.

“How dare you attack me? You’re courting death!”

Lewis swung his fist at Lin Yi.

With E-class combat strength and a perfect body, Lin Yi’s combat abilities were all top-notch.

From Lin Yi’s perspective, an attack of this level was not even as significant as a drizzle.

He grabbed Lewis’ wrist and pulled the latter in front of him.

At this moment, Lewis felt like he was not in control of his body.

This man was stronger than he had imagined!

The moment Lewis lost his balance, Lin Yi kicked him in the back and threw him to the ground.

“Oh my god, the boss is actually so powerful?”

Some of the people in the room knew Lewis and Nathan and were aware that they were not to be trifled with. They did not expect him to be beaten up by the handsome boss of the shop today.

This was too satisfying!

Lewis got up with difficulty and looked at Lin Yi with fear.

“Are you here to show off?” Lin Yi said coldly.

“I’m a Meiguon. How dare you hit me? This isn’t over!”

“How many more Meiguons will you send?”

Lin Yi kicked again, breaking Lewis’s nose bridge.

Ah!

Screams resounded in the store. Lewis covered his nose in pain and rolled on the ground.

“Aren’t you going to say you’re Meiguon again?”

“No, let’s not talk about this anymore…”

“What about you?” Lin Yi looked at Nathan.

“I-I won’t say anymore. I-I’m not a Meiguon. Don’t do anything to me.”

“Stop wasting time,” Lin Yi said impatiently, “Pay up, don’t delay my business.”

“Yes, yes, yes. We’ll pay now.”

“A total of 140,000, card or cash.”

“140,000?”

Lewis and Nathan weren’t the only ones shocked. Everyone else in the store was stunned.

Although the dishes were a little expensive, the bill shouldn’t be this expensive, right?

The boss was so handsome. It was impossible that he would openly extort someone, right?

“The steak is 2800. The rest is for the red wine. That was a four-year-old Romanee Conti. Do you think it’s worth the price?”

The two of them were completely dumbfounded. They had just casually ordered a bottle of red wine, but it was actually so expensive?

Lin Yi’s words shocked everyone in the shop.

There was actually such an expensive wine.

Ordinary people could not afford it at all!

“We don’t have that much money.”

“You don’t have that much money?” Lin Yi said, “Were you here to dine and dash?”

“No, that’s not what we meant. Give me a few days, and we’ll get your money. Don’t do anything to me,” Nathan said.

Nathan almost peed his pants when he saw how badly Lewis had been beaten.

His body was not as strong as Lewis’. If he was beaten up, he would probably have to go to the hospital to recover.

“Lin Yi.”

Wang Ying walked out of the kitchen. “Control your temper. It’s not good for us to take matters into our own hands. Let’s call the police and let them handle it.”

“That works too.”

Lin Yi agreed casually. This was the most reasonable solution now.

If he left them here, it would definitely delay his business.

If they left, the money for the meal would also be lost. Thus, it was best to let the police handle it.

Wang Ying took out her phone and called the police. Since she was in the right, the police would definitely get justice for her.

“Boss, it’s not appropriate for you to call the police,” said a long-haired girl in a dress.

“Huh? Why is it inappropriate?”

“They’re foreign students. The police will definitely side with them,” the girl said.

“I remember that there was once when these international students fought some locals. They were brought in for less than 30 minutes before they swaggered out whilst even making the other party pay.”

“I don’t think such a thing would happen,” Lin Yi said.

“If that’s the case, I can testify to the legitimacy of the story,” a boy said. “I think it’s better to settle this in private and let the two of them gather the money now.”

“I agree. Otherwise, they’ll accuse you of opening an illegal shop and demanding sky-high prices. Not only will you not get the money, you might even be fined.”

Lewis, who was paralyzed on the side, smiled.

Based on the current situation, calling the police was the best outcome for him.

He and Nathan were international students from Meiguon. They wouldn’t dare to make a big deal out of this, and the police would definitely speak up for him.

At that time, he would have a chance to take revenge.
