I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 621 - 621 Iʼve Also Trained

621 I’ve Also Trained

Lin Yi waited for a few minutes, but there was no response from the system.

The next phase of the mission was not issued. According to past experience, it might be triggered midway through the process.

This was a little difficult.

“What are you daydreaming about again?” Ji Qingyan waved her finger in front of Lin Yi. “It’s almost done. It’s time to close the shop and go home.”

!!
Lin Yi nodded. “Let’s go.”

After packing up, the two of them returned home and ended the day’s work.

The next morning, Lin Yi received a call from Liang Ruoxu as soon as he arrived at the shop.

“Have you thought about the incubation center yet?” Liang Ruoxu said, “I happen to have nothing to do today. Shall I bring you around?”

“Alright, where should we meet?”

“Come to my house,” Liang Ruoxu said. “By the way, are you in the shop?”

“Yes, why?”

“Bring me a serving of egg fried rice and your pickled radishes too.” Liang Ruoxu said.

“Drive your Shari. Don’t drive a sports car.”

“I’m already in the shop. I’m driving a Lykan today. My tricycle is parked in the back. Choose either one.”

“Um… Let’s go with the Lykan.”

Thinking of the shameful experience a few days ago, Liang Ruoxu still chose the Lykan.

“Why are you so troublesome? Just wait at home.”

With that, Lin Yi made a plate of egg fried rice and a plate of carrots and pickles before driving towards her house.

Liang Ruoxu was in her usual half-dressed attire, appearing like a virtuous housewife.

If she had not taken the initiative to reveal her identity, no one would have thought that she held a high position and that few people could compare to her.

“Did you bring food? The meeting last night lasted until past nine o’clock. I haven’t even eaten yet.”

“Here.” Lin Yi handed the fried rice and pickled vegetables to Liang Ruoxu.

“Not bad, not bad. It’s not cold yet. Otherwise, I would have to heat it up again.”

“Of course it wouldn’t be cold. In order to keep it warm, I put it in my pants the entire time. The temperature of my pants is the same as your meal.”

“Go away.”

Liang Ruoxu ignored Lin Yi’s nonsense and took the things in his hand. She couldn’t wait to open it and eat breakfast.”

“How did you cook this rice? It’s actually so delicious,” Liang Ruoxu said as she ate, not caring about her image.

“By hand.”

As he spoke, Lin Yi opened the fridge. “Why did you put the stockings in the fridge again? Are you deliberately not letting people drink water?”

Liang Ruoxu’s expression was gloomy. “There’s cold water in the kettle. Pour me a cup too.”

Lin Yi poured two cups of water, one for himself and one for Liang Ruoxu.

“The place is ready to go, right?”

Liang Ruoxu nodded. “It was set up a long time ago, but we haven’t lost yet. Because of this policy, we’ve been waiting and watching. Now that the opportunity has come, all the plans are ready to be put on the agenda. We had a meeting yesterday to study this matter.”

“What’s the result of the study?”

“We’re moving toward the privatization of our industries,” Liang Ruoxu said. “That building will be given to you for free for 20 years. Durong that period, all the profits will belong to you. The only requirement is that the company that accepts the contract must be from a high-tech industry.”

“Really? All the profits will belong to me?”

In the beginning, Lin Yi thought that he might only have the right to use it. He didn’t expect that even the profits would be given to him.

“Mhmm, consider it your reward,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“After all, the benefits you bring to the country are far more valuable than a building. What’s more, you can reduce the rent and attract start-ups. The price for them should be just to develop an app for the new system. However, this is only my personal opinion. You have to decide how to do it.”

“That’s a good idea. It’s a free policy anyway. It’d be a waste not to take it.”

“That’s what I mean.”

After finishing her meal in satisfaction, Liang Ruoxu returned to her room to change her clothes. When she came out, Lin Yi was shocked.

She was wearing a white sweater and loose blue pants, revealing her fair ankles.

Even her hair was tied into a ponytail, making her look like a university student.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“You’re already in your thirties. Why are you dressed like this? Are you pretending to be young?”

“Say that again.” Liang Ruoxu was furious. “I’m only thirty. Who’s in their thirties?”

“What I’m trying to say is that this doesn’t match your status.”

“I’m a public official. It’s even more inappropriate for me to go out with a private company boss like you.”

As she spoke, Liang Ruoxu even put on her mask and sunglasses to cover her face up.

She was like a mummy.

“Let’s go. I’ll show you around.”

After leaving the house, the two of them got into the car.

Following Liang Ruoxu’s directions, they arrived at the newly established high-paying industrial incubation center.

The location of the incubation center was 190 South Beach Road.

He had come here once when he was on a taxi ride, but he did not pay much attention to the environment.

The two of them found an empty space to park. From here, they could see a forty-story building not far away. Lin Yi said.

“The place is not bad. It’s not as good as Lingyun Building, but it’s almost there.”

“Not to mention Zhonghai, in the entire Huaxia, which office building can compare to Lingyun Building?” Liang Ruoxu complained.

“You’re really strange. Sometimes you’re so high-profile, and sometimes you’re so low-key.”

“It only cost me eighteen billion to buy Lingyun Building. It’s not a lot of money.” Lin Yi patted Liang Ruoxu’s shoulder earnestly. “You’re too narrow-minded and closeted. It’d be difficult for you to ever become great.”

“Stop insulting me,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“Let’s go in and take a look.”

The two of them walked side by side towards the office building in Xinluo City.

“Why do I feel like we’re having an affair now? Moreover, it’s as though we’re both married.”

“I’m going to kill you. Don’t talk nonsense. Leave quickly.”

The interior of the building was simpler than Lin Yi had imagined.

There were not many fancy designs. It was more practical than anything.

There were no major problems in terms of layout and decor either, instead giving off a very good feeling.

Apart from that, the property management had also moved in. In layman’s terms, they had already reached the point where they could carry their bags and live there.

Lin Yi was a little surprised to see people passing by as they strolled around.

“What are these people doing?”

“He probably heard the news and came here to inspect.”

“Are they so well-informed?”

“Some people have a keen sense of business. Coupled with the fact that there has never been a shortage of entrepreneurs in Zhonghai, many people will know if there are any movements,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“Just like last night, when we had a meeting to discuss the privatization of the company. I reckon that this news might have been leaked. Many people even expected the reduction in salary and rent. Therefore, it’s normal for these people to come here in advance.”

“What a hardworking group of people.”

“Do you feel that you’re much more lazy than before?” Liang Ruoxu smiled at Lin Yi.

“After becoming a billionaire, you probably don’t have the same drive as before.”

Lin Yi shrugged helplessly. “Drive? I normally succeed in everything easily.”

Liang Ruoxu, “…”

“You’re just dandy when you’re not talking, but when you talk, I feel like you’re asking for a beating.”

“Hehehe, you’re just jealous. Comrade Liang Ruoxu, your thoughts are very dangerous.”

“Dangerous my *ss.”

Liang Ruoxu pinched Lin Yi’s waist, “Get down to business.”

“How dare you attack me?” Lin Yi said indifferently.

“With your small physique, it’s better not to show off to me. When you’re not carrying a gun, it’s best to keep a low profile.”

“Do you think I stayed in the courtyard for nothing?” Liang Ruoxu said.

“I’ve learned kickboxing. Don’t look down on me.”

Lin Yi suddenly remembered that when he was at Normal University, Liang Ruoxu had unintentionally displayed her skills. It seemed she had indeed trained it in before.

“You’re a woman too.”

Liang Ruoxu was a little unconvinced. She suddenly turned around, grabbed Lin Yi’s arm, and lifted him on her shoulder, preparing to throw him over her shoulder to let him have a taste of her strength.

However, as soon as she exerted her strength, she suddenly realized that something was wrong.

His body was rooted to the ground like a small mountain. No matter how much strength she used, she could not move him at all.

“Huh? Why is his lower body so stable?” Liang Ruoxu asked in surprise.
