Chapter 602 - 602 You Have Completed My Life

602 You Have Completed My Life

“Are you saying my brain is mush?”

“Based on what you did, it would be an insult to mush.”

“Lin Yi, I can’t believe you’re saying this. You’re not normally like this.” Ji Qingyan widened her eyes and looked at Lin Yi seriously.

“It’s because you’ve been together for too long that the love has disappeared, right?”

!!
Lin Yi pinched Ji Qingyan’s cute face. “Be normal and speak human language.”

“Then what should we do now? There is so much noodles. We definitely can’t eat it all.”

“Of course we’ll have to recycle it.”

“Alright then.” Ji Qingyan puffed up her cheeks.

“Don’t move.”

“Huh? What are you doing?”

“Just stay where you are.”

Lin Yi took the ketchup and drew three whiskers on Ji Qingyan’s face. Coupled with the flour on the tip of her nose, she looked like a kitten.

Ji Qingyan looked at herself in the mirror and smiled happily. It was quite interesting.

The two of them played for a while before Lin Yi pushed aside Ji Qingyan. There were still two guests outside, so he had to prepare their meals.

Ten minutes later, Lin Yi brought out two plates of egg-fried rice.

“Boss, do you normally prepare so much rice?” The girl said in surprise.

“A little extra for your boyfriend.”

“Hehe, thank you, Boss.” The girl pushed the fried rice over. “Pig, eat more.”

After bringing the food out, Lin Yi returned to the kitchen and realized that Ji Qingyan’s appearance had improved a lot. At the very least, she was no longer as unrecognizable as before.

“Lin Yi, I don’t think I can do it. You should do it.”

“Do you finally recognize that you can’t make it?”

“Yes, yes. You’re amazing.”

It was getting late, and Lin Yi was a little hungry. He took the dough from Ji Qingyan and began making the noodles.

Ji Qingyan followed Lin Yi’s instructions and began mixing the soup.

Not long after, two bowls of steaming hot noodles were brought to the table.

“Wow, boss, is this young lady your girlfriend?” The girl said in surprise.

Ji Qingyan was so happy that she did not say anything, waiting for Lin Yi to admit it.

“That’s right.”

Ji Qingyan was bursting with happiness. This feeling was really good.

“Miss, you’re really good-looking.”

“Thank you.”

Ah!

The girl pinched the boy. “Eat your food. Don’t peek at Miss.”

“Didn’t you say that everyone has the right to appreciate beauty?” said the boy.

“If you can look at a decent young man, can’t I look at a decent young lady?”

“You don’t deserve to admire such a beautiful lady.”

The boy, “…”

Feeling wronged and indignant, the boy finished his meal and the two of them left.

After the two of them finished eating, another person came to eat. After paying, the system notification sounded in Lin Yi’s mind.

[Mission completed. Reward: 200,000 proficiency points.]

[Profession Completion: 40%. Reward: Lucky Card x1. Time limit: 10 minutes.]

Lin Yi found the system reward familiar.

Previously, it had given him the same reward, but last time, there was a five-minute time limit. This time, it had doubled.

Lin Yi still liked rewards like the Lucky Cards.

If he used it well, it could become a life-saving item. He had to keep it well.

[System mission: The store’s total income has reached 100,000 yuan. Reward: 200,000 proficiency points.]

This mission made Lin Yi a little melancholic.

The daily income of the store was only two to three thousand yuan.

How long would it take to earn 100,000 yuan?

He had to think of a way to increase sales.

After the two of them finished eating, Ji Qingyan began to do the accounting. Lin Yi sat at the side and played with his phone, playing games with Sugar.

To Lin Yi, Sugar’s existence was scientifically the lower limit of primates.

When God created Ji Qingyan, he had filled her with competence. However, when he created Sugar, he seemed to have skipped this step.

He had just finished a game when another customer came in.

The two of them began to entertain the guests until eight o’clock in the evening. Eight guests came one after another. This kind of customer flow had already improved greatly compared to a few days ago.

Moreover, the items they ordered were not limited to things like egg-fried rice and noodles. Lin Yi felt that he should be able to earn back the cost of operations today.

“Mrs. Lin, how much did you earn today?” Lin Yi asked.

“3,438 yuan.”

“The listed profit is about 1,400 yuan, but the actual profit is about 1,000 yuan. I still haven’t earned back the cost.”

“Huh? Why is there a loss of 400 yuan for no reason?”

“Didn’t Yuanyuan and the others eat here? The cost for those dishes is about 400 yuan.”

“I see.”

Lin Yi opened WeChat and created a new group.

He pulled He Yuanyuan, Tian Yan, Lu Ying, Sun Fuyu, and Wang Ran into the group.

He Yuanyuan, “Boss, do you have any instructions? Do you need me to call Brother Qi over?”

Tian Yan, “President Cheng is also working overtime at the company.”

Lin Yi said, “There’s no need to call them. I have a secret to tell you guys alone.”

Wang Ran, “Teacher Lin, I’m already working on the proposal for Longxin and Sci-Tech.”

Sun Fuyu, “Director Lin, what are your instructions?”

Lu Ying sent an emoji with three question marks.

Lin Yi, “Because of you, the sales of the shop dropped by 28%, so now, it’s time for you to perform.”

Lin Yi said, “The five of you each had a serving of egg fried rice for lunch. Each of you will have to pay 189 yuan. Transfer it now.”

He Yuanyuan has left the group.

Lu Ying has left the group.

Lin Yi, “…”

Although He Yuanyuan and Lu Ying had left the group, the others were still very cooperative and paid 189 yuan.

Lin Yi calculated and took back 567 yuan. He didn’t earn much, but at least he recovered the costs.

Then, Lin Yi sent Qi Xianzhao a WeChat message.

Lin Yi, “Tell the finance department to deduct 189 yuan from He Yuanyuan and Lu Ying’s salary this month.”

Qi Xianzhao, “I-I understand, CEO Lin.”

Now, the store’s income was Lin Yi’s life.

It was impossible to do this alone.

At that moment, Ji Qingyan’s phone rang. It was He Yuanyuan.

“Senior Sister, your husband is too much. I only ate a bowl of egg-fried rice, but he actually asked me for money. Does he have any conscience?”

“Well, it’s not easy for us to earn money either. As employees, we should take care of your boss.”

He Yuanyuan, “…”

“You’re really old-school capitalists.”

He Yuanyuan hung up the phone, but the money was still not transferred.

Despite this, Lin Yi wasn’t afraid. He would just deduct it from her salary.

“We’ve been open for three days. How much did we earn?” Lin Yi asked.

“Nearly 7,000 yuan.”

“But the odds have moved in our favor today. We’ve already earned back the cost. I hope we can reach a new high tomorrow.”

Lin Yi placed his hands behind his head.

He had only earned 7,000 yuan in three days. When would he earn 100,000 yuan?

The price of the menu was set by the system. It was impossible to change it willy-nilly, so he had to think of other ways to increase sales.

“Lin Yi, why don’t we close up today? Let’s go out for a walk.” Ji Qingyan smiled at Lin Yi as she rested her cheek on her hand.

“Are we going to the night market again?”

“You don’t want to? Then, how about we go to a nearby university to look around? Let’s experience the atmosphere there.”

“What’s there to expereince? Didn’t you go to university too?”

“During that time, I was focused on my studies and was never in the mood to stroll around campus. That’s why I want to experience it now.”

Lin Yi looked at Ji Qingyan with a faint smile on his face. “You were single back then, so there was no point in strolling.”

“You’re the one who was single. When I was in school, there were many people wooing me, but I didn’t accept any of them,” she said proudly.

“Let’s go. Today, I’ll let you experience what it’s like to be led around campus by your boyfriend.”

“Hehe, let’s go.”

The two of them packed their things and locked the door before walking toward the university town.

“There are four schools nearby. Which one do you want to go to?”

“Whichever is nearest. Let’s take a simple stroll. You still have to work when you get home.”

“Then let’s go to Zhonghai University. We can just walk to the front and turn around.”

“Yes, yes. Let’s go.”

Although it was already past eight in the evening, it was quite lively.

The hustle and bustle of the food stall complemented the colorful neon lights of the city at night.

Just like Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan, some of the students walked into the school arm in arm.

Some people, on the other hand, walked toward the hotel on the next street.

When he was in school, Lin Yi had been to Zhonghai University a few times and was quite familiar with the area.

“Why is the school surrounded by woods?”

Seeing Zhonghai Institute of Technology’s surrounding, Ji Qingyan was surprised.

“Zhonghai University has an agricultural college. This area is their experimental field. It’s now a place for young couples to go crazy.”

She looked inside and realized that there were indeed many young men and women hugging each other inside.

“These people are too bold,” Ji Qingyan said sheepishly.

“It’s all about the excitement.”

Ji Qingyan held Lin Yi’s arm as they walked along the path filled with camphor trees.

The passersby couldn’t help but glance at Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan when they saw them.

However, neither of them took it to heart. To Ji Qingyan, this was the a rare moment in her life.

“Every time I look at them, I feel old,” she lamented.

“Sad?”

“Mm.”

“I feel like I never did anything that I should have done when I was young. I spent all my time on my studies. Now, I don’t even have the chance to do it anymore.

“If you hadn’t taken me to Disneyland, I would have forgotten what an amusement park was like.

“But now that I think about it, it’s better to work in life, then walk around romantically with you after.”

Every time he faced such a pretentious question, Lin Yi wondered why was there such a huge difference in the way boys and girls thought.

Wouldn’t it be more romantic to go to a hotel and get a room?

Furthermore, it was not just romantic. His soul could also be satisfied.

Wasn’t it much more interesting than wandering around here?

Sigh…

“Why aren’t you saying anything? Don’t you feel the same way?”

‘Um…’

The interrogation had began again.

“I’m the same as you. I have had too many regrets.” Lin Yi organized his words and prepared to give a perfect answer.

“When I was in university, my monthly living expenses were only 500 yuan. I relied on my financial aid to survive. I didn’t even go to nightclubs or travel. When I went to the shops to buy things, I basically bought the cheapest goods available. I had to perfectly budget my monthly allowance. If I spent too much this month, I had to make up for it from the next month’s living expenses. In short, my life was very difficult.”

“Were these your regrets?”

“Yeah.”

Lin Yi nodded. “After graduation, I felt that this might be a regret that I would carry for the rest of my life. Like you said, even if I had the ability to forward into the future, I won’t be able to regain the feelings I missed out on in the past. I can buy osmanthus and drink with you now, but it’s different. I’m now a young man.”

“But after meeting you, I realized that those so-called regrets were only the most insignificant gap in my life. And your appearance was the thing that completed my life.”

Ji Qingyan stopped in her tracks. She had never thought that she would play such an important role in Lin Yi’s heart.

Compared to words like “I love you”, Lin Yi’s words were more touching.

Seeing Ji Qingyan’s expression, Lin Yi knew that this was a perfect answer.

The atmosphere had already reached this point, and she was obviously touched.

Lin Yi felt that the door of the hotel was already open to him.

“So, I hold such an important place in your heart.” She smiled happily.

“Then I’ll accompany you for a while longer. That way, your life will be more complete.”

“A little longer?”

Lin Yi felt that Ji Qingyan had misunderstood.

No matter how much they shopped, without going through the baptism of a hotel, they would never be complete!
