I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 616 - 616 The General Trend

616 The General Trend

At 8:30 p.m., they finished cleaning the store.

Ji Qingyan sat at the table, enjoying a rare moment of peace.

“Why are you daydreaming?” Lin Yi walked over.

“I want to go to the night market and look at those who stalls which sell daily necessities. Although they’re very cheap, the quality seems to be quite good.”

!!
“Do you only look at daily necessities? Don’t you eat?”

“Um…”

Ji Qingyan looked embarrassed. “I didn’t eat dinner tonight. It’s normal for me to eat less, right?”

“I’ll make something for you. It’ll be healthy, hygienic, and delicious.”

“You’ve been tired all day. Stop working and rest.”

“I’m not tired.”

“There aren’t many ingredients left in the shop, and it’s quite costly to cook a meal for me.”

“It’s fine. Wang Tianlong will send more ingredients over tomorrow.”

“Lin Yi!”

Ji Qingyan was infuriated. Placing her hands on her waist, she said, “No, I told you that you’re tired, so you’re tired. Hurry up and pack your things and leave!”

Lin Yi, “…”

Under Ji Qingyan’s coercion, the two locked the door and walked towards the night market arm in arm.

Seeing that the two of them had closed the shop so early, Zhou Peng gritted his teeth in anger.

‘Damn it, he doesn’t even want to do business. What kind of attitude is this?’

…

The next morning, Lin Yi received a call from Liang Ruoxu as soon as he arrived at the shop.

“Did you go to the store?”

“I just got here.”

“I’ll be there in about half an hour. Help me cook a bowl of noodles for my breakfast.”

“Will you pay?”

“There you go again.”

Half an hour later, Liang Ruoxu walked in. She was not wearing his usual uniform.

She was wearing blue jeans and a beige trench coat. Moreover, she had on small black boots and light makeup. This made her look dignified and imposing.

Liang Ruoxu’s attire was always the same, making her look the complete opposite of Ji Qingyan’s.

Ji Qingyan’s makeup had always been exquisite. Coupled with her temperament, no matter the time of day, there would always be a sharp aura around her that made people fearful.

However, Liang Ruoxu was different. She did not deliberately pursue exquisiteness. Instead, she seemed a little casual.

Her makeup and dressing made her look mature and old-fashioned.

There was nothing she could do about this because of her work needs.

“The decor is not bad,” Liang Ruoxu commented after entering.

“Do you want to invest in me, Beauty Liang? I’ll count you in.”

As he spoke, Lin Yi brought the noodles to Liang Ruoxu and a plate of pickled vegetables.

“The pickles in your shop seem to cost a lot.”

“It’s fine. Your identity is special. I’ll give you a chance to write a promissory note. I’ll save it until the end of the month before I go to your municipal committee to collect.”

“If they find out that I eat 179 yuan for a bowl of noodles and 39 yuan for a plate of pickled vegetables, just wait for me to be punished, then you can send me a boxed lunch at the police station in the future.”

“That’s why I don’t want to take this career path. I can’t even go to the Huaqing Lake.”

“Alright, stop spouting nonsense.” Liang Ruoxu said.

“My mother contacted a few companies for you. When the time comes, get someone to integrate them into your platform.”

“What for?”

Liang Ruoxu took out two pieces of paper from her bag and handed them to Lin Yi.

Lin Yi saw that there were more than thirty companies listed on the A4 paper.

Penguin, Alibaba, and JD.com were all familiar companies.

It could be said that any one of the enterprise on the paper could be considered a giant in the industry.

“What is this?”

“Didn’t you want to develop a new mobile phone system? My mother informed their leaders and they will support the development of the corresponding software,” Liang Ruoxu said as he ate.

“What the f*ck, is this for real?”

“Of course, I can’t eat your noodles for free.”

Lin Yi glanced at the list on the A4 paper. Although there were only thirty companies on it, there were at least three hundred apps under them.

Although this number was only a drop in the bucket for the vast app market, there were more than 70 essential life applications included. It should be enough to satisfy most people’s daily needs.

Seeing this list, Lin Yi realized that Shen Shuyi’s ability was far beyond his imagination.

After approaching them, even people like Erma and Mr. Qiang would have to nod in agreement. From this, it could be seen how powerful Shen Shuyi was in the capital market.

By comparison, those who stood shoulder to shoulder with Lin Yi were just so-so.

“By the way, my mother gave you some advice. Do you want to hear it?”

“What advice? Please tell me.”

“She said that the mobile phone market has stabilized. If you want to make a splash, the most direct and effective way is to spend money. Next is to expand the market into third world countries.”

“Yeah, I’ve thought of all that.” Lin Yi nodded.

“Apart from that, there’s something else I need to tell you.” Liang Ruoxu said.

“The higher-ups are interested in establishing an incubation center for high-paying industries in Zhonghai. Do you want this project?”

“This project is a little too hot for me. I don’t dare to accept it.”

Some of these projects which were closely related to official business was equivalent to being shackled.

Lin Yi wouldn’t do such a thing, nor did he want to.

“Calm down,” Liang Ruoxu said. “The higher-ups won’t be involved in this matter. Consider it a reward for you.”

“Reward?”

“In reality, the higher-ups had already sensed a crisis a long time ago. We’ve only reached the top of the world in the service industry, but we’re still very weak in the basic scientific research field.” Liang Ruoxu combed her hair and said.

“However, at that time, the level of economic development was unequal and did not allow too much investment in this regard, so it was simply put on hold. However, a few years back, the ZTE crisis exposed this problem again, so the higher-ups did not want to wait anymore.”

“Is that why you are doing this?”

“That’s right. Furthermore, it’s time for us to act,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“Now, the smartphone market in China has been monopolized by IOS and Android. If there is a conflict one day and Apple and Google stop updating the Chinese market, the problem will be serious. Of course, the possibility of this happening minimal, but we have to be prepared. We can’t be led by the nose by others. Therefore, you have a good opportunity and are sharing the same thoughts as the higher-ups.”

“Then, what does the higher-ups plan to do with this incubation center project?”

“Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you. Furthermore, I can guarantee that none of the policies will be sloppily enacted. They will definitely be fulfilled,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“But the usage period is 20 years. During these 20 years, all benefits will belong to you. 20 years later, you will have to hand them over.”

“The predecessors plant the trees and the descendants enjoy the shade.”

Liang Ruoxu thought for a moment. “You can’t say that. Even if you hand it over, you won’t lose out. In the eyes of ordinary bosses, this incubation center is still yours. If you can build a certain reputation, I feel that the benefits will outweigh the disadvantages.”

“Alright, I’ll think about it.” Lin Yi didn’t agree immediately.

For a long time, he did not want to participate in such a thing.

However, there seemed to be no other way right now.

Since they had already taken the initiative, he had to give them some face.

“Alright, take your time to think about it. It’s not anything urgent.”

Liang Ruoxu appeared very calm, but she was very puzzled.

This was definitely a profitable deal. Was there a need to think?

Creak…

Just as the two of them were talking, the door of the store was pushed open and six people walked in.

The leaders were Zhou Peng, Chen Yansong, and the others.

“I can only cook fried rice and noodles now. You’ll have to wait for a while if I want to eat anything else,” Lin Yi said.

“Bro, we’re not here to eat. We have something to talk to you about,” Zhou Peng said.

“You are looking for me?”

“Let me introduce myself first. I’m Zhou Peng, the boss of Hongda Seafood Barbecue opposite. This is Chen Yansong, the boss of Xin Xin Dumpling Restaurant. This is Duan Jiabao of Happiness Milk Tea. This is…”

Zhou Peng introduced the six people who came in one by one, and Lin Yi learned their identities.

Liang Ruoxu tilted his head and glanced at the person who came in before continuing to eat.

“Why are you guys looking for me?”

“Look, we’re all doing business on Zhengyang Street. We are mindful of harmony to make money, but ever since you opened your business, we don’t have any business,” Zhou Peng said.

“No more business?” Lin Yi said, “I didn’t steal your business. Your business isn’t good. This has nothing to do with me, right?”

“Look at what you’re saying. If it had nothing to do with us, we wouldn’t have come here.” Zhou Peng said.

“Your restaurant’s food is so expensive. Nowadays, these students save money and don’t spend it because they want to come here to eat. Naturally, we don’t have a business because of this.”

Lin Yi felt that the people in front of him were a little strange.

“Then what do you mean? Do you want me to close down to support your business?”

“How can we ask for that? You need to support your family too.” Zhou Peng said.

“Look, can you shorten the opening hours appropriately and leave us a way out too?”

“I can’t agree to that. We’re all running our own businesses. If the taste of our food isn’t good, we should do some introspection, but you guys actually asked me to shorten the opening hours. What are you guys thinking? Are you kidding me?”

“Brother, don’t speak so arrogantly. We didn’t mean anything by it.” Zhou Peng said.

“You know why your business is booming. Let’s not talk about it anymore. It won’t be good if things get unpleasant.”

This time, Lin Yi was even more confused.

“Then why don’t you tell me why my business is booming?”

Zhou Peng and the other two looked at each other.

“I’ve already asked around. You have such a beautiful woman in this shop. Usually, you seduce those men and women to eat. Am I right? You even cheat students of their money. Do you think there’s any point in doing business like this?”

“Seduce?” Lin Yi’s expression turned cold.

“Isn’t that true?” Zhou Peng said, “When we came in, we saw you talking and laughing with this woman. Aren’t you going to admit it?”

“She’s my friend. Can’t we talk?”

“Friend?”

“Hehe…”

Zhou Peng looked disdainful. “According to what you said, is every woman who comes to your restaurant to eat your friend? Is every man who comes to your restaurant also considered that woman’s friend?”

Whoosh!

Lin Yi raised his leg and kicked Zhou Peng, “Didn’t I give you enough face?”

Everyone in the room was stunned.

Other than Liang Ruoxu, no one expected Lin Yi to hit someone.

Especially when the other party was Zhou Peng, who weighed more than 200 pounds.

Wasn’t this kid a little too strong?

Liang Ruoxu did not say anything and continued to eat in silence.

Ji Qingyan had always been his exclusive property, and he could not tolerate anyone insulting her.
