Global Arrival: Survival on a Desert Island

Chapter 59 Beacon (Please collect and recommend)

Chapter 59 Beacon (Please collect and recommend)
[Golden Treasure Chest: 17 meters away]

[Silver Treasure Chest: 19 meters away]

[Unknown agency: 25 meters away]

……

The information in the underwater ruins appeared one by one before Lin Feng’s eyes.

Among them, what caught his attention the most was the golden treasure chest.

Looking in the direction of the treasure chest, it was pitch black, and there was no trace of the treasure chest at all.

After a brief glance, Lin Feng began to surface upstream.

It took some time to get used to opening my eyes when I entered the water just now, and I also consumed a lot of oxygen after diving.

Even though he was prepared, Lin Feng felt a little uncomfortable now and was ready to come up and take a rest.

He pulled the rope twice and signaled the people on the boat to help pull them up.

At the same time, he gave Eleven a gesture, indicating to go up.

Using both hands and feet, the two soon came out of the water.

With his head exposed, Lin Feng wiped the water stains on his face, and at the same time slowly adjusted his breathing rhythm to ensure that he could supply enough oxygen to his body.

With the help of the two people on board, Lin Feng climbed back onto the wooden boat and looked at the underwater ruins.

The number of treasure chests is still ten, but the most eye-catching one is the golden treasure chest.

The information on the ruins is now clear, but how to salvage them next?
At a depth of 20 meters, diving without any protection is a terrible job.

He turned to look at the other three people on board.

”Which of you can dive to the bottom?”

Hearing Lin Feng’s question, all three of them shook their heads and said they couldn’t do it.

It seems that it is impossible to rely on the wildlings for help.

This time Lin Feng fell into a double problem.

I couldn’t dive so deep to get the treasure chest, and I couldn’t find my way back to the island.

Sitting on the boat, looking at the endless sea, Lin Feng’s brain was running fast thinking about the way to go home.

Diving to salvage with the current equipment and strength is to seek death. Instead of thinking about how to salvage the treasure chest, it is better to think about how to find the right direction to go home.

”Positioning at sea...direction...”

”But how to position...”

”In ancient times, there was still a compass star map that can be identified... Wait?”

Lin Feng suddenly thought of something, if he doesn’t have the equipment to identify the direction, he can make it himself!

He doesn’t know things like compass and sextant, but he knows the simplest and most primitive ’beacon’.

As long as something like a beacon allows him to float stably on the sea surface, it is considered a positioning device.

They are now anchoring the ship with stones, which is theoretically a kind of beacon at sea. As long as they don’t move, they are a target to guide the direction.

And in this way, as long as he lays enough beacons along the way when looking for the direction back to the island, he can always try to find the direction back to the island in this area.

It’s a luxury to use a boat as a float, so how about replacing the boat with wood with enough buoyancy?
Lin Feng has no shortage of wood in his backpack now!

Thinking of this, he immediately started to act, but before that he had to solve a problem.

rope.

To lay a fixed beacon along the way, the rope is essential.

And he didn’t know how many beacons he could make with the little rope in his bag, so he had to ask for help from foreign aid just to be on the safe side.

”Xiao Su, I’m in urgent need of rope here, the more the better.”

”it is good.”

Lin Feng just sent a message here, and almost instantly responded to the message there.

Lin Su didn’t ask why there were so many nonsense, and sent Lin Feng nearly forty pieces of rope without saying a word.

”These can be used for a while, you can help me make more, and I will make you some more snacks later.”

Hearing that there were snacks, Lin Su, who was training with the savages, stopped, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and turned around to order.

”You continue to train, I will come soon.”

After finishing speaking, he ran back to his camp all the way, and put all the plant fibers in the backpack into the workbench to make ropes.

Looking at nearly 100 ropes, this should be enough.

And Lin Feng went to find Chen Wenyao after contacting Lin Su here.

”Kite, can you help collect a batch of ropes? The more the quantity, the better.”

”No problem Liu Ye, three pieces of rope for one piece of food, or three pieces of any material, how much do you want?”

”As many as you want, at least [-] pieces will start, and the requirement is to get the goods before the afternoon.”

”Okay, just wait a moment, I’ll collect it right away.”

After finishing speaking, Chen Wenyao began to shift his business slightly, giving priority to helping Lin Feng collect the rope.

After receiving the first batch of rope from Xiaosu, Lin Feng started to make the first beacon to mark the underwater ruins.

Three parts of stone, three parts of wood and ten pieces of rope, this is all the materials for a stable beacon.

In order to ensure the stability of the beacon and prevent the rope from breaking, Lin Feng used two ropes to connect and fix each stone.

And when connecting the floating wood, he also made specific reinforcement and thickening.

Putting it into the water, looking at the wood floating steadily on the sea, Lin Feng nodded in satisfaction.

The next step is to choose a direction to move forward.

There are four options for the direction of return sailing.

One is to the southeast; the second is to the east; the third is to the northeast; the fourth is to the south.

According to the area map he drew, no matter where he is now, he just needs to search in the directions of these four winds.

Search up to three times, and the fourth time will surely find the route back to the island.

For the first direction selection, Lin Feng started from the due east direction.

However, it took him a while to be able to discern the due east direction.

After identifying the direction clearly, the first attempt to search for the route officially set sail.

Tie the ropes that bound the boats to the wood, and then they were divided into two boats, one in front of the other and the other behind, slowly sailing towards the due east.

After 400 meters away from the relic beacon, Lin Feng signaled to stop the boat and prepare to put down the second beacon.

The effective range of perspective at sea is only 500 meters. In order to prevent the error of ocean flow, Lin Feng plans to install a beacon every 400 meters.

In this way, even if this route is wrong, Lin Feng and others can easily return to the ruins and plan a second search route.

And according to Lin Feng’s calculations, the ruins should not be far from the island, at most twenty kilometers away.

After searching for a route, if you have not found the island at a beacon, you can return to the original route and prepare to search for the next route.

Beacon This beacon is not only used to mark the return route, but also a sign to determine the search voyage.

Although this method is time-consuming and material-intensive, it is currently the most effective method.

It takes about 10 minutes to make a bundle of beacons, but it takes 400 minutes to advance 10 meters.

Due to the lack of rope, Lin Feng stopped and stopped along the way, and did not throw the No. 20 eight beacons until the sun went down in the evening.

In this way, a rough calculation has already searched for eleven kilometers.

It is really too difficult to disconnect from the Internet. I asked about it and the network can only be restored on Wednesday at the latest. Alas...
