Global Arrival: Survival on a Desert Island

Chapter 58 Self-rescue and Diving

Chapter 58 Self-rescue and Diving

Just as Lin Feng guessed, after the group of whales sent Lin Feng and the others above the ruins, they began to dive and leave one after another.

”Hey, hey, hello? You don’t pay for the round-trip ferry ticket?”

Looking at the departing whale, Lin Feng shouted hastily.

And the whale also seemed to understand Lin Feng’s words, sprayed a jet of water into the air, and then dived away.

The four people drifting on the sea looked at each other, Lin Feng sighed, took out a new wooden boat from his backpack, and climbed up to think about what to do next.

He was also a little surprised to be brought here by a group of whales, but at this time it was more of a headache.

How will the four of them go back?

There is nothing to tell the direction in the vast sea, and I don’t have such things as a compass and a map in my hand.

Originally, I only wanted to go fishing near the sea to fill up the fertilizer pit, but now I was brought to this ghost place.

But fortunately, I have a systematic space backpack, and the supplies in it will not be exhausted in a short time.

He also put a lot of food in the canteen warehouse on the island, enough for the remaining savages to eat for a while.

There are two problems before Lin Feng.

Why did the whale pod bring them here?

How should I return to the island?

Maybe the ruins on the seabed can give him the answer to the first question, but the second question will test his memory too much.

Lin Feng took out another boat and connected the two boats together to stabilize and expand the range of activities.

Then he took some wooden planks out of the backpack, and simply built a sunshade to shelter the four of them from the heat.

There is no such place to escape the heat at sea, and now the sun is starting to heat up and release heat.

If they were exposed to the sun for half a day, the four of them would basically lose most of their energy.

After the arrangements were made, Lin Feng took another stone, tied it with a rope and threw it into the water, using it as an anchor to fix their current position.

The depth of the ruins is about [-] meters from the sea surface, which is considered a shallow sea for the ocean.

Looking down, through the clear light blue water, he could still vaguely see the ruins.

But it’s not about these things now, Lin Feng took out another wooden board and began to carve a map on it.

When they left the island, they were headed northwest, although they deviated when looking for schools of fish.

But the general direction was at least correct. A circle was carved on the wooden board to serve as an island, and then a triangle was carved not far from the upper left.

This triangle was probably where they encountered fish and whales, and then they closed their eyes and recalled the details just now.

When the whale takes them away, there are three possible orientations, north, west, and southwest. Only when they leave in these three directions will they stay away from the island.

If it is going in the two directions of northeast or southwest, it will definitely form a parallel with the island and then gradually move away.

According to such a rough calculation, there is an approximate area.

However, this area is only a few centimeters on the board, but it is hundreds of square kilometers in size on the sea.

In order to be precise about his own range, Lin Feng had to recall and think about the current location from the island, so that he had an idea in mind.

When standing at a sea level of 0 meters, the best viewing distance for a person is about 4.5 to 5 kilometers.

However, this data is on the Blue Star, and Lin Feng doesn’t know if it can be used here, but now he can only use a dead horse as a living horse doctor.

According to this data, the place where the whale encounters is about two to three kilometers away from the island.

Lin Feng calculated a maximum of three kilometers, and used his fingernails to draw a small scale on the wooden board.

The distance between three fingernails, one fingernail is one kilometer.

Recalling the swimming speed of whales, it is no problem for whales to swim at a speed of [-] to [-] kilometers per hour under normal conditions.

But when they were carrying them just now, they were floating on the surface of the sea.

At that time, the moving speed should not be so fast, Lin Feng estimated that it was only about [-] kilometers away.

It took more than half an hour to get here, and it took me [-] kilometers to swim at most.

According to this distance, Lin Feng drew the maximum range on the wooden board one by one with fingernails.

At the same time, with the circle island as the center, draw a semicircle here.

Somewhere within this semicircle may be their current location.

In this way, it is possible to return to the island as long as you go in the four directions of northeast, east, southeast, and south.

But only one of these four directions is correct. If you are lucky and choose the right return angle, you can return to the island.

But if they are unlucky and drift too far or the yaw angle is too large, then they will really have to drift at sea for a lifetime.

Lin Feng didn’t dare to gamble on the direction of going back. Now he can only try to recall all the details when he came back, so as to help him rule out more areas.

However, there is no reference object on the sea surface, and it is not so easy to recall the details.

After thinking carefully for a long time, I found nothing.

”Ugh……”

Lin Feng sighed long and rubbed his temples.

If there is a reference object at sea, he can still find an approximate location by using the method of triangulation calculation.

But in this vast sea, apart from his island, there is only sea water left.

It seems that they can’t think of any reason for a while, so they simply study the ruins on the bottom of the sea.

I was brought here by a whale for no reason. Is there anything special about this ruin?
On the surface of the sea, apart from the faint undersea ruins that Lin Feng could see, all he had was the name and introduction.

The introduction said that there may be treasures left below, but there is nothing displayed in the perspective.

Lin Feng guessed that this thing might be the same as Wandering Island, one would go to the island to check it out, and the other might go down to dive.

But diving...he can’t.

He has just learned how to swim, how can he dive now?
Moreover, they dived to the bottom of the seabed at a depth of 20 meters without any equipment for exploration and search.

There is no problem for a professional person to come to this depth, but let him come?Forget it then.

Lin Feng is still very self-aware about himself, he will not do such unsure things foolishly.

But it is not easy to study the ruins on this boat, after thinking for a while, Lin Feng thought of a way.

He still had to go into the water, but 20 meters was too deep, so he didn’t have the courage, but he still had the courage to wander around in the shallow water.

If you can get the perspective to work, you can return early.

However, in order to prevent accidents before diving, Lin Feng tied a rope around his body.

At the same time, tie two stones to the other end of the rope to ensure that it will not fall off.

”Eleven, you go down with me, Song Er, you two are watching on the boat, if I pull the rope three times, you will pull me and Eleven up, understand?”

”clear.”

There was Eleven who went into the water with him, and the two had a caretaker together.

When you are ready, take a deep breath to replenish enough oxygen in your body.

After gesturing to Eleven to tidy up, Lin Feng took a deep breath and plunged into the sea water.

After entering the water, Lin Feng began to stabilize his center of gravity while trying to slowly open his eyes.

Although getting water in the eyes is a very uncomfortable thing, but in order to see the ruins under the water clearly, Lin Feng forced himself to open his eyes.

With the experience of drowning before, Lin Feng could barely open his eyes to check the surrounding environment underwater.

Eleven on the side was also ready, Lin Feng pointed down and signaled to go downstream.

Eleven understood and swam slowly downstream with him.

After diving down for about four or five meters, Lin Feng’s vision suddenly began to undergo new changes.

It’s so difficult, writing a book is really difficult...
