Chapter 129 Are you sure you want to bet with me?Chapter 129 Are you sure you want to bet with me?
In fact, Rorschach has always known that the mastermind, or the evil clan behind the scenes, was monitoring him and Pierre in some indirect way.

Admittedly, the opponent’s methods were very clever and did not reveal any obvious flaws, but they were completely meaningless in front of the True Prison Eye.

When Rorschach saw the tailor shop owner, there was a status prompt behind his name saying ”being controlled”, and it was hard for him not to pay attention.

From then on, whether it was the passers-by he met on the road with Pierre, or the waiter he met after returning to the hotel, or even Alice’s senior brother Craw who seemed to be blinded by jealousy...they all had the word ”manipulated” after their names, just like the owner of the tailor shop.

This also made Rorschach realize that he and Pierre must have been noticed by the mastermind shortly after they arrived in the City of Wild Sands.

But he still chose to go to the lord’s mansion with Pierre at night, just to lure out the mastermind, and facts proved that his method was effective.

He did indeed lead out the mastermind behind the scenes, but the result was that he now didn’t know what to do.

No one knows how powerful a strange race that has merged with an unknown level of ghostly and strangeness is. Even if he has the True Prison Eyes, he cannot tell the difference.

He originally thought that even if he encountered a tribe that had merged with the disaster-level ghost, or even stronger than the Quincy he had encountered before, he could at least escape through the Seal of Segura.

But now it seems that the Seal of Segura may not be reliable in this situation. His only trump card may be the imprint of will deep in Purgatory. After all, the power of Purgatory can restrain the power of the ghost.

This was something he had been certain of since he first encountered the confusion and weirdness.

Even if it is an unknown-level ghost, the possibility of directly invading the depths of Purgatory is not high.

Bai couldn’t help but blush when he realized that Rorschach had seen through his tricks. ”Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

”Come on, do we know each other well?” Rorschach said unhappily.

”Hehe, if you don’t know them, then you don’t know them. Why are you so fierce?” Bai pouted and said, ”You haven’t answered my question yet. Do you agree or not? If you don’t agree, I will turn them into sub-bodies.”

”Subbody?”

”Yes, the people you saw before, the longer they stay here, the more they will be unable to leave here, until they eventually become a part of me.” Bai said without hesitation, ”And those people whose emotions I affect, if it continues, will also become a part of me.”

”Can you assimilate other people?” Rorschach now understood what the True Prison Eye meant by the assimilation field.

”Assimilation? This name is quite good. Let’s call it assimilation.”

When Bai heard what Rorschach said, he immediately thought that this was a good idea and took it directly.

Because the unknown-level ghost has no reference target, even if ’Bai’ has learned a lot of knowledge from the City of Mad Sand, he obviously has no understanding of the ghost that he has integrated into himself and is still exploring.

The assimilation that Rorschach mentioned was like a name for her ability, giving her a feeling that it was supposed to be that way.

”I really want to hold you in my arms to sleep more and more. You smell good, sir. You know a lot.” ’Bai’ laughed again.

Her two eyes look like two crescent moons when she smiles.

At this moment, the sound of fighting suddenly came from a distance, and soon it was getting closer and closer.

Until Pierre reappeared in front of Rorschach, stared at him with wide eyes and asked: ”Why are you still here?”

”She wants to sleep with me.” Rorschach pouted at Bai.

”?”

Pierre was confused, but he soon noticed Bai sitting on the treetop. He said to Rorschach with a heavy face, ”Be careful, this Gui tribe is not simple, I’m afraid they are not weaker than Quincy...”

Obviously, Pierre has suffered a small loss.

He had planned to escape at the first moment, but when he was about to escape from the scope of the Mad Sand City, those Morning Star Wizards who had disappeared one after another before suddenly appeared in front of him and stopped him. Among them was even the Mad Sand Lord who was a three-ring Morning Star like him!

Although the Three-Ring Morning Star of the Mad Sand Lord, who could only show off his power in the Thirteenth Blood Prison, was of low gold content and did not even have the qualifications to have a head-on collision with Pierre, in today’s Mad Sand City, the opponent was like a drug addict.

In addition, there were several two-ring Morning Stars and more than ten one-ring Morning Stars helping him to clear the way. They managed to force back Pierre, an insignificant trainee jailer whose real strength was no less than that of the chief jailer.

Of course there is another reason, that is, Pierre did not dare to use his full strength directly, let alone use all his trump cards.

Because he knew very well that these official wizards, including the Lord of Crazy Sand, were just pawns controlled by the Gui clan behind the scenes.

He would have to spend too much energy to deal with Lord Crazy Sand and his men, and when the Gui Clan behind the scenes took other actions, he would become even more passive.

Therefore, he fought and retreated all the way until he was forced back to the lord’s mansion.

What Pierre never expected was that while he had been fighting for quite some time, Rorschach looked so harmonious and even said that the evil clan behind the scenes wanted to sleep with him. What did this make sense?

Is this the time to joke?

Pierre was speechless at Rorschach’s inappropriate jokes.

However, what Pierre didn’t know was that Rorschach was not kidding him, and ”Bai” was not just as weak as Quincy.

Although the situations of unknown-level ghosts are different, and they have variability and growth that other ghosts do not have, the current ”Bai” is definitely much more dangerous than the previous Quincy!
Because she had never been serious from the beginning to the end. She was just playing a game while getting familiar with the Blood Prison.

Pierre’s thoughts were all under her control.

”Have you thought about it? Mr. Smells Good, but I will be very angry if you reject me.” Bai still smiled innocently, ”Although I won’t do anything to you even if I’m angry, your friend won’t be so lucky~~~”

”???”

This was the first time Pierre heard Bai speak, but he did not quite understand what the other party said.

What does it mean that if Rorschach rejects her, she will not be so lucky? Does it mean that she will become a bargaining chip for the other party to threaten Rorschach?
”What does she want?” Pierre asked in a low voice.

”Didn’t I tell you? She wants to sleep with me.” Rorschach said.

”It’s such a boring joke at this time.” Pierre said with some dissatisfaction.

”I don’t want to talk to you.” Rorschach ignored Pierre and looked at Bai again. ”Do you think you have me in your hands? I can tell you very clearly that you can’t keep me here... As for the idiot next to me, you can do whatever you want with him. But once I leave here, the top leaders of the [Prison Court] will arrive immediately.”

”I know that you, the Gui people, are not afraid of death and cannot die, but the [Prison Court] has been dealing with you for so many years, and its experience in dealing with the Gui people is unimaginable to you at this stage. Are you sure you want to take a gamble with me?”

When Rorschach said this, he intentionally or unintentionally revealed the Seal of Segura on his palm.

He is also gambling.

He wasn’t sure if the Seal of Segura would work here, but he thought Bai might not be sure about that either.

Just as he said, [Prison Court] has rich experience in dealing with the Gui people, and Bai may have already understood this.

After all, the Crazy Sand Lord must know this kind of common sense, and he is now controlled by Bai.

The current ’Bai’ must have known a lot about the Blood Prison. If Rorschach simply wanted to deceive her, he would only bring shame upon himself.

So the words that Rorschach used to threaten her at this time were true, but there were some parts that even Rorschach was not sure he could do.

If ’Bai’ really wanted to gamble with him, he would not back down. At most, he would just die once, and he would get back at them sooner or later.

But if he wins the bet, then it will be bad luck for Bai.

The Gui Clan is indeed immortal, but even the two predecessors of ’Bai’ who also merged with the unknown level of Gui were eventually imprisoned by the [Prison Court].

She obviously hasn’t reached that level yet, and it will be easier for the [Prison Court] to deal with her than her two predecessors.

”Why do you have to do this? I just want to hold you and sleep.” Bai looked distressed. ”I always feel like you are lying to me, but I can’t bear to hurt Mr. Nice Smell... Well, I won’t force you this time. I will be more prepared when we meet next time. By then, it won’t be so easy for you to run away, Mr. Nice Smell.”

When Bai spoke the last part, her voice became smaller and smaller, and her figure gradually faded until it disappeared.

Rorschach just watched the scene quietly without stopping it.

Because he just wanted to make Bai feel cautious, and he didn’t really think about what to do. Bai’s last words proved that she might have guessed that Rorschach was bluffing, but she still chose to give in in the end.

This proves that Rorschach’s threats are still effective. Of course, there must be some other factors involved.

For example, Bai did have special feelings for him, so she didn’t want to go too far. And Bai also said that if they met again next time, she would not give Rorschach the opportunity to threaten her in return.

It is conceivable that Bai would retreat so easily. On the one hand, he might be afraid of the [Prison Court].

If she hadn’t considered this, even if she really had a special feeling for Rorschach as she said, she could have just captured Rorschach first.

On the other hand, it could be that she is very confident about her own rate of improvement.

People who dare to bet on their future with others can only place their hopes on the future because they believe that they will definitely go faster and farther than others.

As the third person in the history of Blood Prison who has merged with the unknown level of ghost, Bai must also know her own uniqueness, so she is not in a hurry, and even directly said that she will make sure that Rorschach has no way to escape when they meet next time.

But how could Rorschach be afraid of betting the future with her?

When it comes to the speed of progress, a hard-working person like Rorschach is really not afraid of anyone. He has come all the way to where he is today thanks to his own hard work!
The next time we meet, it’s not certain who will run away.

”So you were serious just now?” Pierre, who was now as still as a wooden statue, asked in a tone of ’you must be kidding me’.

”What else?” Rorschach asked.

”She really just wants to sleep with you?” Pierre was shocked.

”That’s what she said anyway.” Rorschach spread his hands.

Pierre felt a little numb when he heard this, but then he thought of another question: ”She just threatened you with me just to make you sleep with her, but you would rather watch her do it to me than agree?”

”You must also hope that I would choose this way. I understand that if I save you in this way, you will look down on me even if you are fine.” Rorschach said as a matter of course.

”No, believe me, I won’t!” Pierre said firmly.

”You are a person who likes to say one thing and mean another. I understand you.” Rorschach patted Pierre on the shoulder.

”...”

After a brief exchange of information, Rorschach learned that the missing wizards were not dead, but were just controlled by ”White”. Pierre also learned the true situation of ”White” from Rorschach.

This shocked him immensely: ”Unknown level?!”

Rorschach nodded: ”Why else do you think I would force her to retreat instead of asking you to fight back? Quincy is not even worthy of carrying her shoes.”

After learning this information, Pierre paced back and forth for a while, then looked at Rorschach again and asked, ”Are you sure?”

”She said it herself, so I think it’s true.” Rorschach told a bland lie.

As for whether it was ”Bai” who said it, it is not the point. The real point is that she did integrate the unknown level of weirdness.

”If that’s true, then you’ve done a great job this time!” Pierre clapped his hands.

”We didn’t catch her, does that count as a great achievement?” Luo Xia asked in surprise.

”You must be joking!” Pierre said with an exaggerated expression, ”That’s a clan that has merged with an unknown level of ghost. Do you know how troublesome this clan is? I bet that as long as you send this information up, it will probably alarm more than just the [Prison Court].”

Pierre did not stop talking until here. ”As long as this is true, I estimate that the higher-ups will at least reward you with 5,000 merit points. And this is also considering the balance issue, so they should also give you some compensation in other aspects, otherwise 5,000 points will not be enough.”

”Then why don’t we report it together? Each of us can get three or four thousand merit points. Isn’t that more cost-effective?” Luo Xia said with a smile.

”No, I don’t need it.” Pierre shook his head like a rattle. ”If it were up to me, I wouldn’t want to be a formal jailer at all. I’d have to fight those mysterious ghosts all day long. I might die inexplicably one day, and no one would even remember my name...”

Pierre’s complaint was obviously not groundless.

This proves that there are indeed people who die because of the Gui clan, and even after death they are completely forgotten for some reason, which is even more miserable than dying without a complete body.

In fact, Rorschach had already noticed that with the strength Pierre had shown, no matter how afraid of death he was, he could still speed up the process of gaining merit points in almost absolute safety.

However, he did not do so, and still chose to use the dumbest method to obtain a mere 10 points of merit every year, which took him a thousand years to accumulate.

If we say that this is simply a way of hiding, it definitely doesn’t make sense.

Pierre’s words just now revealed something, proving that he became a trainee prison guard not voluntarily, but out of helplessness.

He also had no desire to become an official prison guard and climb higher.

In short, just get by as long as you don’t go too far.

”But having said that, your mission this time can be considered successfully completed.” Pierre suddenly said.

”Hmm?” Rorschach looked at him.

”The mission you accepted was only to deal with the special situation in the Mad Sand Region, not to capture the evil tribe here. Doesn’t it mean you have succeeded now?” Pierre shrugged.

”That’s right. Let’s go and see how they are doing.” Rorschach nodded and motioned Pierre to follow him.

Pierre was still thinking about the unknown and mysterious things at this time, so he didn’t think much about it and just followed.

……

In the hotel.

Alice was waiting anxiously, and behind her, her senior brother Kuro had been tied up by her.

Not only that, there was also something on top of his head that looked like a football mask, covering most of his head.

This hood is called ”Prisoner Mask” and is an alchemical wizard tool specially used to deal with wizard apprentices. Its function is also very simple, that is, after sensing the mental fluctuations at a close distance, it will automatically eject spikes to kill the wearer!
This thing has no effect on formal wizards, but if it is a wizard apprentice, even the top high-level wizard apprentice will have to obey it.

As long as you wear it, you will definitely not dare to use your mental power.

Alice knew that she was no match for her senior brother Kuro. It would be useless even if she tied him up because he could use his mental power as long as he woke up.

But she couldn’t bear to kill her senior brother Kuro directly, so she finally chose this compromise.

After waking up, Kuro was still expressionless and crazy. It was only just now that he suddenly returned to normal and pleaded with Alice:
”Junior sister, you have to believe me. I was really controlled by some kind of power. Those words were not my thoughts, really!”

”I...” Alice hesitated when she heard this.

Because the image of senior brother Kuro in front of him was too positive in the past, so she vaguely believed what he said at this time. In addition, Kuro looked quite miserable now, which made her feel sympathy.

”Hey, don’t run around like this anymore, okay?” A middle-aged man appeared beside Alice.

She looked at the man in disbelief: ”Father?”

The person who came was exactly the person she came to the City of Wild Sands to find—her father, the wizard Connor!
”It’s okay, it’s okay. Lord Rorschach has already told me about your situation. Everything is over.” Wizard Connor hugged his daughter in his arms and stroked her hair to comfort her.

”Teacher? I knew you would be fine!” Kuro, who was tied up on the side, also showed a look of surprise.

”Father, I...” Alice wanted to explain immediately.

”No need to explain, it’s just my way of looking at people.” Wizard Connor first said to his daughter, then looked in the direction of Kuro and raised a hand and said, ”We are teacher and student, so let me take you on your way.”

”Teacher, please spare my life, I...”

Kuro wanted to say something, but his throat seemed to be blocked by something. He was completely suffocated and no sound came out.

Alice was somewhat touched by her father’s love for her. She hugged Wizard Connor and told him about her recent grievances. What she didn’t notice was that Wizard Connor’s expression at this time was exactly the same as that of Craw before he woke up!
They all looked indifferent!
