Starting from the Wizarding World

Chapter 107 The world about to be hunted!Chapter 107 The world about to be hunted!

”Dad, why don’t we sell this store? It will be too late to regret it later if we continue like this,” the young woman advised.

The woman’s name was Yuphie, Yuphie Baroque.

The person she was persuading at this moment was her father, Samir, who was also the manager of the small shop they were in and the heir of the Baroque family.

The current patriarch of the Baroque family is the old patriarch Ode Baroque, who is over 800 years old. The reason why he is still the patriarch at this age is not because he is reluctant to give up this position, but because his descendants are really disappointing.

The heirs were replaced one after another, but no one could break through to become a high-level wizard apprentice, so they had to keep replacing one after another.

Samir is the newest heir, so he is also in charge of the Baroque family’s most important industry - the Baroque Alchemy Workshop in the central city!
In fact, the Baroque family has more than one alchemy workshop, but the significance of the central city is completely different from other places.

This is the real center of the Eighth Blood Hell!

Although their small shop in the central city is not large in scale, it cannot be compared with any Baroque Alchemy Workshop in other places, and only a few people are needed to keep the shop running.

But its value is higher than that of the other twenty or so Baroque Alchemy Workshops combined!
The reason is very simple. Land in the central city is very expensive and it is difficult to find a store.

As the core of the Eighth Blood Prison, the Central City is naturally incomparable to other places. The number of shops here has remained unchanged, so if you want to open a store here, you can only spend a lot of money to buy it.

However, most of the people who can open a shop here are not short of money, and business in the central city is usually very good, so there is definitely money to be made.

Therefore, those newly emerging wizarding families that want to prove their status will often spend a lot of money to buy shops in the central city as a symbol of their identity.

This also makes the prices of shops here surprisingly high, and the rent is also an exaggerated number.

A wizarding family like the Baroque family, which has already fallen into decline, should not be qualified to maintain the Baroque Alchemy Workshop in the central city. Fortunately, the Baroque family is really good at alchemy, which has enabled them to maintain the store and avoid any operational problems.

But recently someone seems to have set their sights on the Baroque Alchemy Workshop in the central city, and has sent a message through various channels to the Baroque family, telling them to either sell the shop at market price or just wait and see.

Originally, the Baroque family didn’t take it too seriously, thinking that the other party was just threatening.

But after they encountered various troubles in the past few days, they suddenly remembered the previous warnings.

Now even the old patriarch Ode is ready to admit defeat, but Samir is the only one who is unwilling to admit defeat and wants to see if there is any chance of turning around.

However, just a few days ago, his only son suddenly disappeared, leaving him completely confused.

Although he had no evidence to prove that this matter was related to the person who threatened the Baroque family behind the scenes, he knew that this was the truth.

The reason why the other party did not rob the city by force was simply because the Central City had its own rules, which prohibited the plundering of the Central City’s industries by force.

This is not just empty talk, but a rule set by the Eighth Prison Lord himself. Anyone who dares to violate it can try.

Not to mention those newly emerging wizard families, even the old wizard families of the Eighth Blood Prison, or the hundreds of lords, who dares not to follow the rules set by the Lord of the Eighth Prison?
It happened in the past, so I died miserably.

Naturally, no one dares to do this anymore.

The reason why Samir felt he could hold on was because he knew that the person behind the scene would not dare to take action against the Baroque family easily. But now that the other party had made his son disappear in such a roundabout way, he really had no choice.

Yufei kept persuading her father because she was worried about her younger brother.

Now, the main figures of the Baroque family have actually agreed to sell the alchemy workshop in the central city, and Samir is the only opponent.

As long as he changes his mind, everything will go smoothly.

Jingle bell bell—

The sound of wind chimes coming from the store door attracted the attention of the father and daughter.

Only then did they notice that there were a few more guests at the door, and one of them looked particularly familiar.

”Uncle Samir, Cousin Yufei, long time no see.” Chevala, who had just walked in, immediately recognized the father and daughter and greeted them.

”You are... Cheva LS Mir recognized the other party.

”It’s me.” Chevara nodded with a smile.

……

After a brief reunion, Samir and the others learned that Chevala had now joined the wizard apprentice named Rorschach, and Chevala also learned about the recent troubles his family had encountered.

”Whether or not to sell the store, we can’t negotiate in such a passive situation, otherwise we are doomed to be at the mercy of others.” Rorschach also expressed his opinion at this time.

”I think what the Lord said makes sense. We must rescue cousin Dean first.” Chevala also agreed.

However, Yufei was a little dissatisfied when she heard this. ”Cousin Chevala, are you coming back to cause trouble? Obviously, all the problems can be solved by selling the store, and Dean can also return safely. Why do you have to do this?”

”Yufei, how do you talk to your cousin like that!” Samir scolded his daughter with some dissatisfaction when he heard it.

”Isn’t what I said right? My brother’s life or death is uncertain. Isn’t the most important thing to do now to ensure his safety?” You Fei argued.

”But...ah.”

Samir sighed, his tone full of helplessness.

How could he not be anxious when he knew that his only son might have fallen into the hands of others? But the problem was that his other identity was the heir of the Baroque family, and he had to consider the family when making decisions.

He couldn’t do such a thing as disregarding the family’s interests for the sake of his son’s safety.

But what his daughter said was not without reason, which put him in a dilemma...

”If you really want to save your brother so much, why don’t you take us to find him directly?” Luo Xia suddenly asked.

”What?” Yu Fei looked flustered for a moment when she heard this, but she quickly returned to normal and pretended nothing had happened.

However, Chevala had already heard the hidden meaning of Rorschach’s words at the first moment, and looked at Yuffie with a serious expression!
Having been with Rorschach for so long, he knew very well how accurate Rorschach’s ability to judge people was.

Even the Dark Bone Wizard, a two-ring Morning Star, could not escape Rorschach’s eyes, let alone others?

Therefore, even though Rorschach’s accusations against Yuffie were extremely severe, even involving the destruction of his personality, Chevala still did not doubt it.

”Is there any misunderstanding, Lord Rorschach?” Samir tried to ease the situation, ”Yuffy is Dean’s biological sister. The two have been closer than most siblings since childhood. It’s impossible for him to do anything bad to Dean.”

”Don’t be so decisive, Mr. Samir. I said this with a degree of confidence.” Rorschach said calmly, ”Yuffy, you have to think it over. The person behind this may not keep his promise after using you. Are you sure you can keep track of Dean’s situation at all times?”

Yufei’s expression was a little uncertain, but her reaction made Samir’s heart skip a beat!
How could he not understand his own daughter? Yuffie’s reaction was tantamount to acknowledging what Rorschach had said before.

Is the disappearance of my son Dean actually related to my daughter?
”What a sin...” Samir felt only bitterness in his heart.

Rorschach then continued, ”I’ve heard from Chevala about the situation in Central City before. I heard that it’s not allowed to plunder other people’s property by force. So if you think about it, will the person behind the scenes really risk being held accountable by the Eighth Prison Lord and kidnap your son?”

”In my opinion, this is undoubtedly not worth the loss. In comparison, it is definitely more cost-effective to let you fight among yourselves.”

”Even if it was accidentally exposed, it was an internal fight within your Baroque family, not their use of external force to plunder. So tell me, who is most likely to take your son away quietly?”

Samir heard this and looked at Yuffie and said, ”Is it you?”

You Fei: ”They said that only this way can you, father, face reality. If you continue to fight, you will only end up dead.”

Snapped!
Samir slapped him and said bitterly, ”You would rather trust outsiders than your own father? If it really comes to the point where it is impossible to do anything, I will naturally give up. Do you need to do this?”

”I...” Yufei covered her cheeks, her face already covered with tears.

”Stop crying, go find someone first. If there is anything, wait until Dean is brought back before you talk!” Chevara shouted directly at this time.

”Okay, okay.” Yuffie responded with sobs.

When Yufei and her group arrived at the place where she knew her brother Dean should be, the place was empty. There was no Dean there.

Samir was furious at this point: ”Where are the people?!”

Yu Fei’s face turned pale: ”I don’t know either. My little brother should be here...”

She finally realized that she was probably being fooled.

The other party never trusted her from the beginning to the end. He just wanted to use her to trick her brother Dean out, but she believed him anyway.

”What should we do now?” Youfei was a little anxious.

She did all this not because she really wanted to harm her brother, but because she believed that doing so would be better for her father and the family.

But reality taught her a lesson.

Rorschach didn’t bother to care whether she was crying or not, because he was just helping Chevala with a small favor.

But Rorschach walked straight to the street next to him, grabbed a passerby’s hair casually, and pulled him over.

This inexplicable behavior surprised Samir.

However, he was even more surprised the next moment, because he heard Rorschach actually asking: ”Where did you hide the person? Tell me quickly, don’t waste time.”

”I don’t understand what you are saying at all. How can you arrest people so casually? I will report you to the Judgment Bureau!” The man was anxious. ”He knows where the person is. You can find a way to ask him yourself.” Rorschach was too lazy to play along with him and directly threw the person to Samir.

At this time, even if Samir did not obey Rorschach’s words, he would not easily doubt them.

So when Rorschach said that there must be something wrong with this man and that he knew where his son was, Samir directly taught this man everything he had learned in his life.

In the end, the man revealed Dean’s whereabouts, and Samir quickly sent someone to bring his son back.

……

”Thank you so much this time, Rorschach. If it weren’t for you, I would have become a sinner of the family.” Samir said gratefully.

”You’re welcome.” Rorschach shook his head.

”By the way, are you also here to participate in the ’Blood Hunt’?” Samir suddenly asked.

”The Blood Hunt is about to begin again?” Chevara was stunned when he heard this.

”Yes, it will start in less than two months. When you came, didn’t you notice that there are a lot of people in the central city recently?” said Samir.

”It seems to be true. I thought it was my illusion. It turns out it’s because of the Blood Hunt. No wonder.” Chevara said, stroking his chin.

When he said this, he suddenly noticed that Rorschach was looking at him.

Then he remembered that his master was not from the Blood Prison World Group, so it was normal that he had never heard of Blood Hunting. He immediately explained to him:
”The so-called Blood Hunt is a periodic sacrificial ceremony held by the Eighth Blood Prison every hundred years... During the Blood Hunt, the Lord of the Prison will choose a small world affiliated with the Eighth Blood Prison as the target of the Blood Hunt, and allow all wizard apprentices who are willing to participate in the Blood Hunt to enter it to complete the sacrifice.”

”How to accomplish it?” Rorschach’s voice sank slightly.

”Of course, it is to hunt down all the creatures in that small world and use their blood to sacrifice to the Boundless Blood Prison.” Chevala introduced calmly, ”During the blood hunt, every time you hunt down a creature, you will accumulate more blood energy, and the stronger the creature, the more blood energy they can provide.”

”In the end, the blood hunter ranking will be determined by the amount of blood energy. Usually the top 1,000 will receive generous rewards, and the top 10 will have the opportunity to enter the ’Eighth Blood Pool’, which is the real highlight!”

“Although the Eighth Blood Pool cannot compare to the legendary Infinite Blood Pool, even a formal wizard can gain huge benefits from the Eighth Blood Pool, and for a wizard apprentice, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”

When Chevala said this, he couldn’t help but reveal a look of yearning on his face: ”If a high-level wizard apprentice can enter the Eighth Blood Pool, he will basically try to break the boundary and impact the official wizard soon after, and the success rate is more than a hundred times higher than normal...”

”Using a world as a hunting ground just to complete a routine sacrifice?” After listening to Chevala’s explanation, Rorschach fell silent.

For someone like Chevala, who was born in the Eighth Blood Prison, he would not understand Rorschach’s feelings at this moment.

The small world that Chevara mentioned is essentially a world like the Gray Domain, except that the Gray Domain is affiliated to the Gray Tower World Group.

While Chevala was describing the wonderful aspects of Blood Hunting in vivid detail, Rorschach was thinking that if one day all the members of Water Blue Star descended on the Gray Domain, and after that the Gray Domain also experienced an event similar to Blood Hunting.

What should he do then?
This is of course just a hypothesis and may not actually happen. But don’t forget that the Gray Domain and the Blue Water Star are just experimental sites of the ”Star Throne”.

When all the members of Water Blue Planet are replaced, no one can predict what the opponent’s next move will be.

Even if we take a step back and say that Rorschach doesn’t care about the lives of anyone on the Blue Water Star or the Gray Domain, he is still a member of the Replacers.

Can he really avoid this kind of trouble?
He actually had no confidence at all about this.

When he heard about the Blood Hunt, he still felt a sense of pity deep in his heart. But when he thought that the Gray Domain and the Blue Water Star might also encounter such a situation in the future, he realized that he had no right to sympathize with others. In the face of survival, his ridiculous compassion was simply worthless.

”My Lord, should we participate?” Chevala looked at Rorschach.

”why not.”

Luo Xia calmed down his inner turmoil and said thoughtfully, ”This is a once-in-a-century opportunity. Since we have encountered it, there is no reason to miss it. Even if I can’t make the top ten in the end, it is good to be in the top thousand.”

”Understood!” Chevara said excitedly.

”I’ll leave the specific process to you. I plan to go into seclusion before officially starting. If I can make further progress, I’ll be more confident.” Rorschach said to Chevara.

”No problem, my lord, you can just stay in seclusion and leave these trivial matters to me.” Chewala patted his chest and promised.

Rorschach nodded and said no more.

Chevala is still very reliable in this regard and he doesn’t need to worry about it.

He himself began a new period of seclusion. Although it would only last less than two months, he actually had not had so much free time for a long time.

During this retreat, on the one hand, he sorted out his path as a Purgatory Knight, and on the other hand, he naturally focused on Purgatory Meditation.

Although he is in the Blood Hell world group, he will truly put his consciousness into the Purgatory dimension when meditating, and the effect of meditation cannot be said to be exaggerated.

It had been a while since his Purgatory Meditation Technique was advanced to Lv. 4, and this period of retreat gave him time to make further progress.

After a month of seclusion, his Purgatory Meditation had advanced from Lv.4 to Lv.5, and was continuing to move towards Lv.6.

Just a few days after his breakthrough, he sensed that replacement was coming. This time he chose replacement without hesitation, because what he lacked most now was time.

After returning to the Blue Water Star, he did not meet anyone and spent all his time in meditation.

This is actually a little unbelievable to others, because it is well known that it is impossible to fuse blood or even condense spiritual seeds on the Blue Water Star.

Including meditation, it is almost impossible to improve because it is impossible to sense the six eternal realm instruments of the wizarding world.

But Rorschach is different.

No matter where he is, he can put his consciousness into the Purgatory dimension. He even condensed his spiritual seeds on the Blue Water Planet.

If he could keep his composure and not waste any time each time he returned to the Blue Water Star, it would be like having a lot more time for meditation and practice.

Two months later, Rorschach returned to the Eighth Blood Prison.

At this time, he has already advanced the Purgatory Meditation to the second half of Lv.5. Perhaps it won’t be long before he can officially enter Lv.6.

By then, he would really be only one step away from becoming a high-level wizard apprentice, and for him this was actually just a nominal change in realm.

As a Purgatory Knight, he also practices Purgatory Meditation. The core power of both is actually the power of Purgatory!

The only difference is that one side uses the power of purgatory to polish the body, while the other side combines it with spiritual power to create new evolutions.

But this high degree of homology enables him to burst out with power far beyond the stated level in any aspect!
This is also one of the reasons why he dares to participate in the Blood Hunt!

Although he didn’t tell Chevara explicitly, he was aiming for the top ten!
The more he witnessed the cruelty of the wizarding world, the more he realized that he was not qualified to stop, let alone sympathize with anyone.

He is bound to give it a try in this blood hunt.

Even if the eighth blood pool may not be useful to him, he still has to see it first. What if it is useful?
If you miss this village, you will miss this store.

……

a few days later.

”The number of people participating in the Blood Hunt this time should be the largest in the past ten sessions. It is said that the rewards will be more generous than in previous years. Even if you don’t make it into the top 1,000 in the end, you can still receive a collective baptism of blood prison...” Chevara patiently told Rorschach about the information of this Blood Hunt.

Over the past month or so, he has done a lot of preparatory work.

Including but not limited to collecting all information about the Blood Hunters, especially the information about this session, which has become the top priority.

It’s no wonder that he did collect a lot of valuable information.

In addition, he also borrowed the Baroque Alchemy Workshop in the central city to refine dozens of alchemical tools to save his life.

Most of them are high-level alchemical wizard tools!
As for the cost, his uncle Samir reimbursed him directly without asking for a penny.

This can be considered as returning a favor, thanking Rorschach for helping him find his only son Dean.

After completing a series of preparations, the Blood Hunt is finally about to begin!
On this day, the entire central city became bustling!
As a sacrificial ceremony held once every century, even those who did not participate in the Blood Hunt were looking forward to it, because they could see part of the Blood Hunt process, and even see the blood qi changes of the top 1,000!
For a grand feast like this, the existence of a banker opening the market is inevitable.

In short, this is like a grand entertainment event. Although it is to commemorate the Boundless Blood Hell, it is also a carnival!
Everyone can participate and get what they need.

Rorschach and Chevalar were just insignificant parts of the group, because there were so many people involved.

There are more than a thousand high-level wizard apprentices alone!

The number of mid-level wizard apprentices has increased fivefold, but the number of beginner wizard apprentices is even less than that of mid-level wizard apprentices.

This is certainly not because the Eighth Blood Prison lacks junior wizard apprentices, but because most of the junior wizard apprentices are self-aware and know that they cannot compete with those high-level and mid-level wizard apprentices.

If you go, you will just be cannon fodder, so it’s better not to go.

Moreover, during the blood hunting process, their real enemies may not be each other, but the natives of the chosen small world.

Usually, the small worlds chosen as targets for blood hunting are not those without challenges. There is definitely no lack of high-end combat power that can fight against high-level wizard apprentices. Otherwise, there will be no suspense in this process.

This is not in line with Blood Hunter’s original intention.
