Starting from the Wizarding World

Chapter 117: Segura, the Earth Emperor Blood Toad!Chapter 117: Segura, the Earth Emperor Blood Toad!

Under the leadership of Wizard Persi, Rorschach and his party quickly passed through a space magic array in the prison lord’s mansion and came to a cave-like space.

But this is definitely not a cave, because the surrounding walls look like living things, and there seems to be something wriggling under the walls!

Moreover, as soon as they entered this cave space, everyone felt a sense of fear, as if there was some kind of oppression.

”Is this the eighth blood pool?” a high-level wizard apprentice named Levi asked Wizard Percy.

He ranks ninth among the ten people including Rorschach, which is a relatively low ranking, but his strength is definitely not weak.

Almost all the Blood Hunters who could eventually enter the top ten of the Blood Qi Ranking had the experience of fighting against the ’Ten Kings’ head-on, and they were the main forces. People like Hoover and Natalie even had the record of single-handedly killing the ’Ten Kings’.

In this case, there is no such thing as taking advantage of troubled waters.

”No, we’re not there yet. Keep following me.” Wizard Persi shook his head and led everyone to the left again.

While catching up with Wizard Percy, Murphy noticed that Garlon seemed to be breathing heavily, and asked in a low voice:
”You all right, Boss?”

”I don’t know why, but as soon as I entered here, I felt like I was being watched. Don’t you feel the same way?” Garen panted.

”Indeed.” Rorschach said in a deep voice.

Because his feelings were exactly the same as Garlon’s, even more intense. If he hadn’t been able to use the power of Purgatory to continuously eliminate this influence, he would most likely be unable to move now.

But according to his observation, among the eleven people including Wizard Percy, only he, Garlon, and another person had this reaction.

The man’s name was Rai, and he ranked sixth among the ten, just after Murphy.

Rorschach had observed everyone with the True Prison Eyes before, so he knew that the only difference between Lai and the others was that in addition to being a high-level wizard apprentice, he was also a gold-level blood knight.

The common feature between him, Garlon and Lai is that they are not just wizard apprentices, but also very strong in physique.

”The stronger the body, the greater the pressure one can feel...” Rorschach thought thoughtfully.

As he walked, he also looked around.

The more he looked, the more he felt that everything around him was not dead. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration came to his mind, and he looked directly at the wall with the True Prison Eyes:

「Name: Esophagus Wall」

”Information: One of the hundred esophaguses of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad. One side leads to the Earth Emperor Blood Toad’s throat, and the other side leads to its abdomen.”

”Hint: That’s right, you are now inside a beast called the Earth Emperor Blood Toad. You can think of it as a super-doubled version of the ’Ten Kings’. In terms of both strength and size, this Earth Emperor Blood Toad is thousands of times more exaggerated than the Demon Whale King you have seen before!”

……

”Earth Emperor Blood Toad?”

Luo Xia was unfamiliar with this name, but from the hint of the True Prison Eye, he could tell that this Earth Emperor Blood Toad was not a fake like the ’Ten Kings’.

”No wonder Garlon and I both felt a sense of oppression from being shocked. How could we not feel oppressed if we ran directly into someone’s body?” After figuring out the situation, Rorschach suddenly felt as if he had suddenly realized something.

The reason why only he, Garlon and the high-level wizard apprentice named Lai were affected was indeed related to their other path besides wizard apprenticeship. This feeling of oppression was like the collision of spirits between blood knights, and it only existed when they could feel the pressure from the other party.

Although Garlon is not a blood knight, he is a half-blood dragon man, which means he can be considered half a blood knight to some extent.

”So, the eighth blood pool is actually inside the body of this Earth Emperor Blood Toad? Then where is the Earth Emperor Blood Toad located?” Luo Xia thought curiously.

He had heard Chevala introduce the Eighth Blood Pool before. Although he didn’t know much information, he knew some general information.

For example, each of the Eighteen Blood Prisons has a blood pool, which was created with reference to the boundless blood pool on the Blood Prison Island.

Although it is just an imitation, the effect is still amazing.

Even the Three-Ring Morning Star can benefit from it, but the effect is best for everyone the first time, and will only decrease afterwards.

Even the Three-Ring Morning Star can benefit from it, let alone these wizard apprentices.

This is also the reason why the second generation wizards, including Murphy and Garlon, could have tried to break through the Morning Star a long time ago but have waited until now.

Because the eighth blood pool can not only increase the success rate of breaking through the Morning Star, its accumulation can even allow the user to take another big step forward after the breakthrough. Once the breakthrough occurs, the user can go straight to the peak of the first ring, and can sprint to the second ring only after the realm is completely stabilized!
Naturally, no one wants to miss out on such a huge benefit.

Didn’t you see that even Hoover, a strong man who was training again, was waiting? Otherwise, with his strength and experience, he would have broken through to the Morning Star long ago.

”Rorschach... look here...”

Rorschach, who was wondering about the situation of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad, suddenly heard a voice calling him not far away. He immediately remembered the wizard Percy’s previous reminder not to talk to anyone easily.

So he naturally did not respond, but still looked in the direction where the sound came from, only to see a figure whose face could not be seen clearly standing at the fork in the esophagus, waving at him.

He immediately looked over with his True Prison Eyes:

”Name: Blood Toad Dead Couple”

”Information: The souls that were devoured by the Earth Emperor Blood Toad but were unwilling to die are wandering in the body of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad, always looking for someone to possess so that they can experience the joy of being a living being again. However, the body of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad is like a cage for them, and they can never leave.”

”Tip: Their danger is your opportunity... In fact, they are no threat to you, and may even be the best fuel!”

……

”Is this the source of the danger that Wizard Percy mentioned?” After reading True Prison Eye’s introduction to the Blood Toad Dead Doll, Rorschach immediately understood.

These dead blood toad dolls are like the vengeful spirits locked in the body of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad. They can be temporarily ”resurrected” by possessing another body.

If you pay attention to them, you will most likely be targeted.

However, because they are already locked with the Earth Emperor Blood Toad, they will not be able to leave here even if they succeed in possessing it.

Therefore, the targets possessed by them can easily become the objects of their venting, and basically they will not have a good ending.

This is also why Wizard Percy said that if an unexpected situation really occurred, it would be difficult for him to save the person.

Because even if they can defeat the possessed, there is no guarantee that these possessed blood toad dolls will not directly destroy the body of the possessed person, and they may even try to die together with the possessed person.

They won’t die anyway, so there’s no need to worry about anything.

What is certain is that Rorschach was not the only one who heard the call at this time, because this call is essentially just a kind of mental interference. Everyone who hears it will think that they are being called, but in fact it is an indiscriminate call.

However, because of the wizard Percy’s reminder, no one would respond to these blood toad dolls... except Rorschach.

”Rorschach... I am your father...”

All Luo Xia heard was that the blood toad puppet continued to call out to him.

”Bah, who are you taking advantage of? I’m your father!” Luo Xia suddenly spat at the blood toad doll not far away.

His sudden response startled everyone, even Wizard Percy couldn’t help but stop.

”Second brother, you?” Murphy looked at Rorschach with some confusion.

”He said he is my father. How can I tolerate him? What a joke!” Rorschach curled his lips.

”...”

Murphy and the others were speechless for a moment.

”Look, that thing is gone!” A high-level wizard apprentice suddenly pointed at the location where the blood toad doll was originally located and exclaimed in a low voice.

Wizard Percy was actually the first to notice this. He immediately came to Rorschach and said in a deep voice:

”tell me your name!”

”Rorschach.”

”Hmm?” Wizard Percy was a little confused.

Because this was different from what he expected. According to past experience, even if the Blood Toad Doll successfully possessed a person, it would not become a truly normal person.

Although they are weird, it is difficult for them to communicate like normal people.

If Rorschach was really possessed, then he might have had many reactions to the question he just asked, except for answering directly to his name.

The blood toad dolls do not know the name of the possessed person and will only answer with meaningless words or nonsense.

Rorschach was able to respond to him normally, which clearly meant he wasn’t possessed.

But the blood toad doll just now clearly disappeared, and no one else responded to it. Only Rorschach met all the conditions for being possessed.

”What’s wrong, Wizard Percy?” Rorschach asked.

”Don’t you feel anything is wrong?” asked Wizard Percy.

”No.” Rorschach shook his head. Wizard Percy nodded and continued to lead the way without asking any more questions.

Luo Xia’s heart was almost beaming with joy at this moment, because he had just triggered the conditions for the blood toad doll’s possession, and the blood toad doll did come to him, and then... nothing happened.

Pulling directly into purgatory, the feeling is much more refreshing than being trapped in the body of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad, and its burning effect is even better than that of the Demon Ape King!

The effect exerted by such a blood soul puppet is equivalent to that of four or five demon ape kings.

Rorschach had just entered the lower-level legendary realm, but after catching this pie that fell from the sky, his realm immediately became much more stable.

But this is clearly just the beginning.

On the rest of the journey, whenever Rorschach encountered a blood toad doll, he would greet them enthusiastically.

Wizard Percy was wary at first, but gradually he discovered that these blood toad dolls, which were a threat to other wizard apprentices and even ordinary Morning Stars, seemed to have no effect on Rorschach at all.

Luo Xia just greeted them along the way, and these blood toad dead dolls disappeared one after another.

This was the first time that Wizard Persi encountered such a strange situation. He had never encountered such a situation when he brought those first-ring and second-ring Morning Star wizards here. At most, some people could forcibly expel it.

It is worth mentioning that Rorschach’s outrageous behavior obviously brought about some illusions.

Levi, the high-level wizard apprentice who spoke first after entering here, was out of his mind. After meeting a new blood toad doll, he greeted it before Rorschach had a chance to say anything.

Afterwards, the blood soul doll naturally disappeared as before. Others had long been accustomed to this and did not think much about it.

However, the expressions of Rorschach and Wizard Percy changed!
”Fuck, this idiot...” Luo Xia couldn’t help but curse inwardly.

He is not afraid because Purgatory is the nemesis of these ghosts. Any weird and evil power is a younger brother in front of Purgatory.

What’s more, these blood toad dolls took the initiative to possess him, just like moths to a flame.

But isn’t Levi looking for death?

Wizard Percy had given a special reminder before because these blood toad dolls are very troublesome. Once they possess a person, one can only drive them out by oneself.

”Tell me your name!” Wizard Percy stopped and came to Levi as before.

”Hehe...the breath of a living person...bloody...” Levi answered the question irrelevantly with a weird smile on his face.

Other people around also noticed something was wrong and immediately stepped back!

”Levi, wake up!” Wizard Percy put one hand on Levi’s forehead and stimulated him through some spiritual secret technique.

As expected, Levi’s face also showed a struggle.

But at this moment, his struggling face suddenly turned into the same weird smile as before, and he laughed and said: ”I was kidding you--”

Bang!
Levi suddenly exploded on the spot, turning into a bloody mark on the ground, and the blood was quickly ”absorbed” by the ground.

In the blink of an eye, it completely disappeared.

Only some items belonging to Levi left on the ground can prove that he existed.

This scene made most of the others look heavy-hearted.

Only a few people such as Wizard Percy, Hoover, and Rorschach were slightly stronger and were not affected by this.

Because they were all mentally prepared for this, but they didn’t expect that this unlucky kid Levi would insist on seeking death.

”I can’t stop him if he wants to die, but he is the best example. You can decide for yourself.” Wizard Percy said calmly after cleaning the blood off his body with the cleansing spell.

The death of Levi is not important to him.

It’s just that ten people become nine people, there’s not much difference.

Even if someone else continues to seek death, he will not stop them. If he doesn’t take his own life seriously, why should he expect others to take it seriously?

With Levi as a negative example, the others became more cautious, but Rorschach still maintained his ”enthusiasm and politeness”.

No one knows why Rorschach is okay, but from this alone, they can see how unfathomable Rorschach is.

Even Hoover looked at Rorschach with a hint of surprise.

After a while.

Everyone came to a place that looked like an exit. The huge arched hole in sight should lead to a wider space.

When everyone walked out of the huge arched cave, they came to a place that looked like a diving platform. In the huge space outside the cave, there were hundreds of similar protruding platforms.

Below the platform was a blood-red lake, with bubbles bubbling around in it, and it looked like it was being heated continuously.

”It’s right here.” Wizard Percy stopped.

Rorschach and the others also stopped and began to look around, as well as the blood-red lake below that was suspected to be the eighth blood pool.

”Long time no see, little Bosiqua.”

A somewhat sharp voice was heard, and the owner of the voice was a very anthropomorphic blood-red toad about the size of a fist, wearing training clothes, which had jumped onto the top of Wizard Percy’s head at some point in time.

”We just met last month, Lord Segura.” Wizard Persi said speechlessly.

”Really? Hahahaha, my memory declines as I get older, try to understand.” The bloody toad laughed.

When Rorschach saw the bloody toad, he also looked over directly:
”Name: Segura (Flesh and Blood Incarnation)”

”Race: Earth Emperor Blood Toad”

”Personality:???”

”Hint: You are now inside its body, and it seems to like you very much.”

……

really!

Rorschach had already guessed it when he saw the bloody toad.

Garlon and the others didn’t know, but he had already known that they were in the body of a terrifying monster called the Earth Emperor Blood Toad, and at this time, the blood toad suddenly appeared above Wizard Persi’s head.

Then this blood toad is most likely related to the Earth Emperor Blood Toad.

However, Rorschach did not guess that this blood-colored toad was the Earth Emperor Blood Toad, or that the other party manifested itself in his body in this way.

In addition, since he was unable to fully observe all the information of the blood toad, it could also be said that the status of the Earth Emperor Blood Toad was at least equivalent to Yue Yao.

It’s not surprising that Wizard Percy would call him ”Sir”.

”Are these little guys the winners of this blood hunt?” The blood-red toad then turned his gaze to Rorschach and the other nine people.

Originally there were supposed to be ten people, but now Levi is missing, so there is one less person.

”Yes.” Wizard Percy confirmed.

The bloody toad nodded, then suddenly jumped from the top of Wizard Percy’s head to the top of Rorschach’s head and said, ”You are a very good little fellow. Come and help me get rid of insects when you have time. I will not treat you unfairly.”

”Pest control?” Rorschach didn’t react for a moment.

”It’s those dead dolls. They’re itchy all the time, crawling around. Little Bosi and the others have a hard time dealing with them. I see you’re good at extermination. Are you willing to help me?” The bloody toad asked expectantly.

When Rorschach heard this, he was actually a little moved.

Because if the so-called pest control refers to dealing with the dead blood toads, this matter will not only not bring him any burden, but also allow him to have a lot of extra fuel out of thin air, which is just like a buffet.

He would be willing to do it even if there were no additional benefits.

However, he did not agree immediately, but pondered: ”But I may not stay in the Eighth Blood Prison forever...”

”What does it matter? Raise your hands and quack.” said the bloody toad.

Rorschach was a little confused when he heard this, but he still raised his left hand.

Then, he saw the bloody toad jump directly onto his hand, and then twisted and shook it in his hand for a few times.

”All right!”

After doing all this, the blood-colored toad jumped back onto the head of Wizard Percy and said, ”You can come here anytime now. As long as you are still under the cover of the Endless Blood Prison, you can come here through this mark.”
