Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 488: Ultimate Breakout (3), The Enemy Plan

”Damn it. So many of us, and we still could take out even one of them.”

”That’s one of their elite teams.”

”Which bastards decided to raid them?”

”Seeing six Regalons surrounded by over a hundred of ours, my team joined, only to get screwed right after coming there.”

”News is that thirty Regalons led by a division captain were killed.”

”So they will not revive anymore?”

”We need to kill a renowned Regalon.”

”One of their top hundred.”

Powerhouses all over began checking the bounty list of Regalons and started making plans.

Grimworld also began identifying Regalons more, entering them in the database so that people now knew from the Regalon Hunt section that showed locations of all Regalons active in the seven realms with their appearance and names, with the top 100 gaining titles.

At no.1 with the highest bounty was the ultimate pair, Almond and Lily. The Duo of No Return. A simple title that shows their absolute power.

Because nobody who targeted them had managed to return alive in the past month. The moment they crossed 75k Trinity Force, nobody could kill them.

Even a group of powerhouses close to 100k Trinity Force was no match because that’s how powerful the arsenal of powers Almond and Lily wielded.

The superiority of their powers in qualitative terms was more than enough to bridge the massive gap of 25k Trinity Force.

Difficulty: Nightmare+

Bounty Reward: Ten items of your choosing in the complete roster of Grimverse Shop, 1 x Grimverse Ascension Ticket.

No.2 was Admiral Rudra. Tamed Wildness. A contradictory title, but nothing else was better suited to him than that.

Difficulty: Nightmare+

Bounty Reward: Ten items of your choosing in the complete roster of Grimverse Shop, 1 x Grimverse Ascension Ticket.

No.3 was Kexell, the Terror of Curse. Utterly unkillable, and facing him meant a hell lot of pain before death.

Difficulty: Nightmare+

Bounty Reward: Ten items of your choosing in the complete roster of Grimverse Shop, 1 x Grimverse Ascension Ticket.

A total of 14 people, the top 14 of the leaderboard, had Nightmare+ difficulty, which indicated that they had never died since the past month.

All of them had the same bounty.

From 15th and lower, the bounty reward decreased to give items of their choosing in the Grimverse Shop.

Moreover, the items in the shop were desirable with the recent addtion of items.

Item 1: A cultivation property of Tier-1 after entering the Verdant Canopy Abode, of which this Grimworld was a part.

Item 2: 10-day Lecture on how to progress and get stronger in the Grimverse.

Moreover, some of the top items were limited.

There were only three Tier-1 cultivation properties, so only the first three groups who defeated Nightmare or Nightmare+ would be able to buy it, which basically consisted of the top 44 Regalons.

Because these top items would only appear for groups who managed to kill Nightmare and Nightmare+

The rewards were updated because of Grimworld Tree’s ability to now trap the consciousness of Regalons from returning to their real bodies after their death in the Grimworld.

One group of Regalons with no ranker in them died shortly after the update of rewards, which also increased the reward for killing Regalons, alarmed Almond and Lily as they none of them could move.

”Their consciousness...they are fine.” Almond’s eyes were closed.

He was trying to use his Riftveil Grimblade in tandem with other things to trace and create a spiritual rift connecting to the consciousness of those Regalons.

Levi was helping as well because she had scanned the Grimworld Tree by now.

Technically, the Grimworld Tree itself couldn’t directly harm its natives. That was the rule to balance out the system to nurture individuals. This concered the laws of Grimverse since this world was in the territory of Grimverse, or its first name, Grim Cosmoverse.

A vast cosmoverse containing a unique structure where a brutal world of strong eat weak was developed through eons upon eons, its path of power towards becoming the top powerhouse, a Grimlord, was nightmarish.

The title of a Grimlord was the goal of all who sought unimaginable power and peak.

Grimverse was a Tier-0 Cosmoverse, meaning the ultimate power ceiling.

So those who reach the peak of power in those Tier-0 Cosmoverses would have all constraints removed, and...more, something that was said that only those who reached there could see and partake in it.

The Master of Grimworld Tree was one step below the title of Grimlord, but it was also the most difficult step.

He had already spent an exact 113,434 years on this single step, and had yet to cross it.

And now, he was at the toughest part of his life yet.

A madman was after him, and on his soul, he regretted capturing that fellow’s Pet Monster.

But his desire and ambition to use his power to fuel him was not going to change.

In the Spirit Voiderran Realm, Levi’s eight eyes flickered into existence before Almond, Lily, Admiral Rudra, and other top powerhouses.

”Found them. This rotten tree can’t harm them, I knew it. My Master is also out there fighting with this tree’s master, but judging by how he arrived quickly, he is just here to make a mess and then leave.”

”He is buying us time before this rotten tree’s master makes some new update that’s disadvantageous to us.”

Lily nodded. ”So, how do we get back their consciousness?”

Her eyes coldly glinted. ”We won’t let anyone die. That was our promise.”

And everyone could feel the full weight of that promise from the sheer pressure that Almond was exuding.

His will was tearing through all defenses of Grimworld and connecting to those consciousness despite the walls put up by the Grimworld Tree.

”Those consciousnesses are isolated, but...”

Levi’s eyes blinked.

”Since Master John bought us some time, it will take at least two months even for the smallest update to make changes here. So even if Grimworld Tree’s master made an update, it could go these two ways.”

”First, allowing Grimworld Tree to directly kill Regalons. This would incur more penalty from the Grimverse. It’s not a wise choice, I don’t think Grimworld Tree’s master would do that.”

”Second, allowing Grimworld Tree to present the consciousness to adventurers in the form of a type of battle. For example, a hundred consciousnesses fighting against one Regalon consciousness and annihilating it.”

”This will incur less penalty, so Grimworld Tree’s master could do this if he wants to eradicate Regalons.”

Everyone understood.

”Yeah, so we have enough time and we can go two ways.”

”First option, which I don’t recommend, is that we put our focus and power at this moment, spend several days, and finally retrieve those trapped consciousnesses.”

Levi’s eyes glowed, with everyone feeling a shiver of terror.

”Second option, we focus on getting strong, mainly Almond and Lily, master Voiderran, and make an ultimate breakthrough. Destroy this Grimworld Tree, and those consciousnesses will return to their bodies automatically.

Almond opened his eyes as he severed the connection.

”We are short of around ten thousand Trinity Force before reaching 100,001.”

”One month tops.” Lily looked at him.

Admiral Rudra chuckled. ”That’s settled then. We’ll return now since there’s no need to push for this.”

”You two focus on Voiderran, we will focus on getting to 100,001 while nurturing as many powerhouses as possible.”

Almond nodded. ”Regalons will be targeted, but tell everyone that no need to fear this temporary death.”

”I’ll change the formations and grouping.” Admiral Rudra’s eyes glinted. ”Since our number will decrease temporarily until you two are ready, even our temporary deaths must bring a nightmare to everyone who targets us. Once I am done making the plan, I’ll join you.”

”Alright.”

...

Almond and Lily dedicated 90% of their time daily to completely understand Voiderran.

Together was better than being one because they could share their understanding and progress faster.

Admiral Rudra, Big D, and some others would join, but only a few were compatible with it.

Almond, Lily, and Admiral Rudra were different realms of monsters for Levi because those three were past the point of having to consider compatibility.

It was a matter of willingness and putting their will into it.

If they willed it and decided to go for it, they could have maximum compatibility with it.

In terms of the progress of Voiderran, Almond and Lily were at 95% now.

Admiral Rudra was at 90%.

”Yes, Master. Those three are the main menace. Their realm is eating away at my structure, and I can’t do anything because of Voiderran’s support in their deadly realm and all of their techniques. They are disastrous. They have mastered this attribute to a significant extent, and their own arsenal of powers is supremely powerful.”

”Those three...I need them. If I nurture them, they are the kind that would grow as Tier-1 talents in the Grimverse.”

”But master, they have sided with that John Wicked. If they come out, John Wicked will take them.”

”Humph, we’ll see about that. But for now, I need to prepare. Can you really not contain them for two months?”

”I can’t, Master...I already feel a foreboding of my doom.”

”I need to enslave them, and it’s better if I can do that while they are inside. This will cost me less than trying to make them my slaves after they come out here in Grimverse. And I can’t guarantee they will be taken away by that John Wicked fella. He is gone for now as I couldn’t contain him, but he will return.”

”But I won’t be able to contain them once they master Voiderran completely and reach 100,001 Trinity Force. They are too powerful.”

There was a silence in the communication.

It was a rather long silence as three minutes passed by.

”Master?”

Another two minutes passed by.

”Alright, I have decided. I am preparing a seal.”

”Give me the list of all exceptional individuals with the potential of Duke or higher. Maximam rank is Emperor. Use those three menaces of Regalons as the measuring scale for Emperor-rank.”

”Aside from the people I choose, the rest will be dead. It’s a pity, but I need exceptional people to serve under me. Project Grimworld shall end within 20 days, before the Regalons make a break.”

”...Understood.”
