Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 487: Ultimate Breakout (2), Grimworld’s Move

4th realm’s God Layer.

Natalia, Emma, Maya, Marcus, Noah, and Kira were exploring, trying to find a Grimverse Trial.

At this point, all other people aside from Regalons could use the additional function to teleport near the Regalons.

Almond and Lily were identified, so nobody dared to go where they were.

But people still tried to attack other Regalons regularly to score points.

Grimworld Tree, knowing that Regalons were using its own energy to power up their secret realm and revive their fallen kin, knew that killing Regalons would only reduce its own energy. Although it was minuscule, it was annoying.

Regalons could not be truly killed.

So it studied extensively about how to prevent them from reviving, and found a way.

[ Announcement! The Grimverse points for slaying Regalons have been increased threefold. All participating individuals in the hunt for Regalons will get the same number of points. ]

”What?!”

”The points really tripled.”

”But why?”

”Who cares. Let’s start targetting some Regalons aside from some of those freaks.”

As such, Natalia and others were among those who got targeted.

They instantly sensed several auras appearing out of nowhere, not too far from them.

”It looks like we got targeted again.”

Natali and others all had Trinity Force above 40k. Natalia was higher, around 50k, due to her luck being mostly good and giving her the highest value when gaining random Trinity Force between two values.

They were surrounded shortly by not five, not ten, but fifty powerhouses, all wth 50,000 plus Trinity Force.

But without a moment, Natalia’s domain expanded with hundreds of instructions bloating the sky within a 50-kilometer radius.

Domain of Myriad Nightmare Melody.

Natalia’s domain expanded, and it quickly began ringing with a chaotically choreographed melody from hundreds of instruments.

Aside from sixteen powerhouse who had appropriate artifact to barely resist this melody of nightmares, the others instantly entered into a terror of their own making, unable to act soundly as they began to attack or defend wantonly towards their imaginary nightmarish enemies.

Each one had a complex set of emotions towards their nightmares in different proportions.

Fear 40%, Thrill 5%, anger 25%, terror 40%.

The person affected by this proportions had a crazed reaction towards this nightmare, and due to his personality and mentality, he completely went insane towards creating an art of complete disaster in the face of terror.

And he achieved that by self-exploding himself in a specific way, turning into a raging rain that washed everything around 5 kilometers of him. This rain was so dangerous it directly turned into an insane corrosive power that fed on soul, and then turned into sentient venom targeting nearby lifeforms to corrode their souls as well.

Now, it was not that hard to defend against this. As long as one was in control of their soul, and could ignite their will, one could purify this power.

Aside from that, it depended on one’s assets of power like ability trees, divine blessing, intents, complete mastery of their exotic element, regalon armament, geno abilities, and all such weaved into their arsenal of techniques they created.

Alas, those affected by Natalia, numbering thirsty-four, had no chance to resist the corrosive power spread by this madman, which affected 13 people.

But the scary thing was that after they quickly died due to being unable to defend against this power that fed on souls after corrupting it due to all of them being under Natalia’s symphony of nightmare.

So, all those targeted quickly died and began spreading to others via an etheral route, blocked by only the use of soul-scaled techniques.

However, those who survived ad expressions as if they expected it. With their defence against Natalia’s domain, they were bombarding attacks on that.’

’It’s a Tier-2 Regalon group, according to Grimworld. But this is too much. When are others coming?’

’That bitch, I know her. Last time I died and revived, the first thing I did was to buy an artifact that can defend me against her.’

’So you chose this group deliberately.’

’Reinforcement is coming. Don’t worry.’

’Fuck, the others are about to take initiative.’

Marcus suddenly burst with power as an ethereal five-dimensional shield began to rotate around everyone for a brief moment before enveloping them.

Natalia and others began glowing.

Right then, fifty others arrived.

”It’s time to rumble.”

Suddenly, Natalia’s domain shifted. It stopped affecting the enemies and began affecting Marcus, Maya, Emma, Kira, and Noah.

”Count me in.”

Julian arrived, swinging his sword.

”Fuck, it’s Sword Titan!”

Julian’s sword suddenly flickered into thousands of thin images, expanding into a giant 1 kilometer long and 500 meters wide sword that slapped towards 9 powerhouses who were floating to the northeast, about to release their attacks.

Although they were some distance away from each other, Julian’s sword was too big, and it struck all nine of them.

At the moment of touch, colorful sparks enveloped all of them before they burst into neon-glowing blood and gore.

Their spirits coped and devoured Julian.

But this was just the start.

There were still over fifty powerhouses.

Maya raised her hand to the sky.

A hexagonal flurry of snowflakes floated from her fingertips, each one fractal-shaped and impossibly perfect. When they landed—each became a mirror.

Mirror of Frozen Intent.

Her domain shifted. Ten enemies suddenly saw themselves reflected in midair. Not just reflected—but replicated.

The mirrors cracked.

Each cracked shard turned into a copy of their worst possible self: weapon in reverse grip, eyes void of emotion, dripping with Maya’s cold will. They charged forward without hesitation, and when the real enemies tried to attack—

Their own reflections cut faster.

Blood spilled, and Maya clenched her fist.

All ten froze—not just their bodies, but their memories, their thoughts, their ambitions—all preserved in a stasis ice that gleamed with dancing stars. Then the stars turned into drills.

Shkkk.

Ten heads fell before the mirrors vanished with a sigh.

Marcus roared.

”Anchor: Dominion Shield Mode.”

Dozens of light-etched disks appeared and hovered like divine gearworks behind him. As enemies launched beams, blades, and curses—each disk rotated and devoured the incoming attacks. Then—

”Return it.”

The disks spat the attacks back, but twisted. Now they shimmered with Marcus’s essence, imbued with heavenly rebuke. A barrage of their own spells came crashing back, five times faster, their damage augmented with crushing faith pressure.

Seven enemies screamed as their own attacks reversed and cracked their divinity apart, like mirrors smashed from the inside. One man was hit by a redirected meteor and turned into a starburst of molten regret.

Behind Marcus, the shields broke apart into thousands of spinning fragments, forming a floating divine fortress that hovered around the group, deflecting, shielding, countering—perfectly.

Noah stepped forward.

Two swords hovered at his side. No grip. No form. Just floating. Until he said—

”Rise.”

The swords became five. Then fifty. Then five hundred.

Each sword had a different shape: some spiral-edged, some like insect wings, others flat but split by shimmering cracks that blinked like eyes.

Sword Heaven – Thousand Blade Lotus.

Noah spun once.

The swords didn’t shoot. They danced.

They passed between each other, wove through space, and unraveled five enemies where they stood. One laughed—until a blade slipped into the space between his cells, and his whole body fell apart without ever bleeding. Another tried to escape—his metal armor screamed as Noah’s swords folded through dimensions, turning into liquid blades that entered his soul-core and peeled it open.

Three tried to counter—Noah stepped forward, raised his finger—

Snap.

All three were impaled from thirty-seven angles, and their weapons shattered into dust.

Kira arrived last—no, wait.

She was already there.

Her blade sang, but no one heard it except for those who died.

She split into nine afterimages, each of them flickering with colors that didn’t belong in this reality: shimmering blues, blurred pinks, and white streaks that looked like compressed lightning and dreamstuff.

Each step she took bent light and space—she weaved between shadows and sounds, her sword dragging threads of mirage-plasma.

Three enemies blinked—and were already shattered into sparks, space behind them shattering in the exact same format.

One saw her reflection, stabbed at it—only to find her real blade already inside his mouth, her voice whispering—

”Too slow.”

He burst into a splash of boiling silver light.

She spun, and her blade cracked the air, sending out a wind slash so fast it ripped through the battlefield and sliced a flying fortress in half before looping back into her scabbard.

Kira didn’t even look. She just flicked blood off her wrist and vanished again.

By the time Julian landed beside them, fifty corpses glowed with fading divine energy.

The rest had already turned to soul fog, venom storms, frozen shards, or cursed blades trembling with death.

Twenty new arrivals to join the hunt, but the remaining powerhouses who just witnessed their attacks rendered useless by Natalia’s haunting assist-mode and Marcus’s absolute bolstering defense started backing away.

But it was too late.

”You are not running.” Marcus grinned, a large avatar akin to a war god manifesting behind him, released golden chains, traveling through space using the geno ability of Regalon, and instantly ensnaring each of them.

...

”Well, it was a good day.”

”At least we also won the Grimverse Trials.”

Suddenly, some news entered Natalia’s and others’ ears, telling them that another group, a training division led by Eliara the Juggernaut Steel Fortress, was annihilated, and their souls consciousness didn’t return to the Eternal Grim Spire, hence their bodies remained, but their souls were disabled due to their consciousness not returning.

If something happened to their consciousness and it was annihilated, it was a be like a true death.
