Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 467: Events & Challenges

Almond and the Grim Breakers arrived at the place where the colorful tornado phenomenon formed.

”It looks like we have to enter inside, despite the goosebumps I am getting,” Marcus said.

”Let’s go.” Almond went forward, entering the tornado.

The others followed without hesitation despite whatever they felt.

Right after they entered, all of them got a notification.

[ Welcome to the Survival’s Doom Event. All you have to do is merely survive by killing anything that comes your way. You can give up mid-way to leave and finalize your score. ]

[ Rewards ]

— 100 God Essence for participation.

— Top 3 will get 1000 God Essence.

— First Ranker will get 10 to 100 Trinity Force.

— Second Ranker will get 10 to 50 Trinity Force.

— Third Ranker will get 10 to 30 Trinity Force.

— Additionally, if you survive the 10th wave, you will get 10 Trinity Force per wave cleared after that.

”Did we enter into a different dimension somehow?”

”It’s the third layer, I am sure all events and challenges have their own pocket dimensions.”

”Look down.”

The place the group arrived at reeked of danger.

It was a place with glowing purple grass everywhere, with pillars burning with bright blue flame at the top standing five meters from each other, littered all over this glowing purple grassy land.

[ Notice: There are three people who are more than required for this event. The three random people will be removed, and the remaining fifteen will partake in the event. All the best. ]

”What?”

In the next second, three people vanished and the remaining looked at each other to see who was gone.

”Fuck. Almond, Julian, and Emma are gone.”

”The strongest’s gone. Welp, we can fight for the first place now, haha.”

”You ain’t winning this, Jian.”

”We’ll see.”

...

Almond, Julian, and Emma appeared outside and looked at each other.

”It looks like we’ll have to find another one,” Julian said with a wry smile.

Almond thought something and nodded. ”We’ll leave them here and continue.”

”But I need to put someone here.”

Emma blinked.

”Your Spirit Lord?” she asked. ”You didn’t summon them after coming here. Could it be they need to break through to God-rank?”

”Not just a breakthrough, but I have to make some adjustments myself,” Almond said with a nod and waved his hand. ”But Alfred is done with it, so I’ll summon him.”

Alfred appeared in his sleek butler outfit with a rapier hanging at his waist.

Julian and Emma checked his status.

[Alfred, the Imperial Warbound Butler]

[Rank]: Elite God

[Trinity Force]: 1094

[God Energy]: 1,00,000

[Trinity Techniques]: —

”Elite God?!” Emma exclaimed.

Julian chuckled. ”Pretty sure all the Spirit Lords will directly be in Elite God rank.”

”Master, how may I help you?” Alfred asked with a small bow and a hand at his heart.

Almond’s eyes flickered as he relayed all the necessary information to Alfred.

”While they are in the event, you train yourself and increase your combat power by creating Trinity Techniques. Once they emerge, move towards the center of this floor while participating in whatever challenge or events that you encounter.”

”Understood.”

...

As Almond, Julian, and Emma continued their journey, they encountered a challenge at a huge orange waterfall.

The 100th floor here was massive and had mystical biomes and places from what they had seen so far.

The challenge required 10 people participating and there were already five people inside, waiting.

Almond, Julian, and Emma landed at the waterfall’s edge as the count in the sky turned 8/10.

The other five people had varied features according to their Genelines.

A female with a fish-like head and four arms wearing light-metal black armor spoke up while rubbing her chin. ”You look familiar...”

”Fuck!!”

Suddenly, the black-scared man with a thick tail and demonic horns exclaimed while pointing at Almond.

Almond raised an eyebrow.

”You are Almond Regalon!”

”From that stream we saw?! Damn.”

”Wait, so you just ascended here.”

Suddenly, two more people arrived and everyone got a notification.

[ Ten people have arrived. The challenge will begin. ]

In the next second, the whole area around the waterfall suddenly transformed as if everyone appeared in a parallel dimension.

The water was now dark orange, and the previous sun had turned into a crimson moon.

The surrounding scenery turned into a thick and huge jungle with colorful dim and darkened lights from glowing plants.

[ This is the challenge of hunters. The ten of you will hunt special monsters and each of you is only allowed to move up to 100 meters during this challenge. If your movement crosses 100 meters, you will be disqualified. ]

[ The monsters will approach you from the surrounding jungle and attack you. Your job is to hunt them before they hunt you. Each kill will provide you with points, and only the person dealing the killing blow will get points, even if other people injured that monster.]

[Rewards]

— 100 God Essence for participation.

— Top 3 will get 1000 God Essence, and +10 God Essence per monster kill.

— First Ranker will get 50 to 100 Trinity Force.

— Second Ranker will get 10 to 100 Trinity Force.

— Third Ranker will get 10 to 50 Trinity Force.

[ The challenge starts in ten seconds. ]

’T-That...why does he already have over two thousand Trinity Force?! How much fucking Arcane Constitution he had before he broke through?’

’Arcane Constitution doesn’t directly translate into Trinity Froce after the breakthrough, it’s the quality of his Arcane Constitution—the potential and utilization of his assets—that determines it.’

None of the people here even had 1500 Trinity Force, let alone 2000+ like Almond.

’I can’t wait to see his Combat Power after it is assessed in this challenge. It’s going to be crazy.’

As the ten seconds passed, five different howls and screeches resounded from the surroundings.

Almond’s eyes flickered as large dark silver eyes with golden patterns appeared in the sky.

”What the...”

”He can already discover the monsters?!”

In the next second, Almond’s index finger moved slightly as he finished creating a simple Trinity Technique.

Blade Pin.

He discovered all five monsters by using a Trinty Technique based on his Geneline’s talent—Eyes of Truth, that he had created while moving to discover things in a larger area as his normal soul sense’s range was limited to just 2 kilometers, as the soul sense’s range depended on Trinity Force.

To increase sensing range, one had to create a scout-type Trinity Technique using their assets.

The large eye in the sky used spatial echo sense, releasing a wave in all directions that captured all movements and everything completely, giving Almond a much more powerful sensing range.

After locking onto those five monsters that were five kilometers away, Almond created a simple Trinity Technique—Blade Pin, as five destructive blades using his offensive assets manifested and struck the monsters’ heads.

The leaderboard projection in the sky flickered and everyone’s jaw dropped.

Rank 1: Almond Regalon — 5 points.

”Fuck, we ain’t getting any points with him present!”

”Hey, brat from Ayudai Familia, do you know who is he?” a brown-crystallite man asked as he eyed Almond. He had 1012 Trinity Force, the second strongest after Almond in this challenge group.

Julian had 984 and Emma had 759 Trinity Force, which was still higher than the other people in this challenge as they had below 600 Trinity Force.

”You don’t fucking know who is he?”

”I just came out of five days long closed-door meditation, and thought I would collect bits of Trinity Force before ascending.”

”Well, he is Alm-”

Suddenly, three howls resounded from the top as three monsters with the power of 350 Trinity Force manifested, looking like a mixture of bears and wolves with exotic metallic fur.

Their mouths were open and they instantly attacked.

One went for Julian, while the other two went for two different people.

Julian waved his hand as a giant broad sword appeared and slapped the incoming sizzling spiraling plasma orb away.

The other two also reacted, while the rest quickly attacked.

However, everyone’s attacks except for Emma’s attack were suddenly enveloped in a faint flickering spatial orb and vanished.

Meanwhile, Emma’s Blood Burning Toxin Darts struck the three monsters as their bodies flared up in powerful green flames, dying instantly before they turned into ash in two seconds.

Rank 1: Almond Regalon — 5 points.

Rank 2: Emma Regalon — 3 points.

”Sorry, but the top three will be the three of us,” Almond plainly said. ”You can make an effort if you want to, but you won’t succeed. Just saying.”

”...”

”...”

”...”

If he destroys their attacks, of course, they won’t succeed!

”You are strong already, so no need to waste time here, brother. Just go to the center to participate in better challenges and climb the floors. You will get higher Trinity Force on higher floors anyway.”

”I know. We are just getting used to this since we’ve just arrived here.”

...

The challenge was finished after an hour.

Almond, Julian, and Emma were the top three, no suspence.

”An hour gone just like that,” Almond said with a frown. ”Yeah, I am sending a message to everyone. Our average Trinity Force is enough for us to fight on the 90th floor, so after each group participates in at least two challenges or events, they can make a beeline toward the center. No more wasting time.”

”Sounds good.” Julian nodded.𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

”Yeah, if we can get stronger faster on higher floors, we should do that.” Emma agreed.

Generally, a familia with 500 average trinity force ascends no longer stays here, so Regalon familia definitly didn’t need to stay here for long.

And so, all the groups got Almond’s message via the Geneline connection.

Those who were in a challenge or an event got the message after they exited.

”Hmm?” Almond frowned as he looked up and around as he stopped flying.

”What happened, Chief?” Julian asked in surprise seeing Almond frowning.

”Felt like someone observed me. Well, it doesn’t matter since I didn’t feel ill-intent. Let’s continue.”

...

Meanwhile, Roxenvale familia’s Chief acquired Almond’s live location.

”Hoho, he is moving towards the 100th floor’s center, eh? Alright, we shall wait for him on the 99th floor.”
