The Daily Life Of A Cyberpunk Magician

Chapter 184 - 150 So, the Game Continues_2
Chapter 184: Chapter 150 So, the Game Continues_2After reading the passage, his expression remained unchanged as his gaze shifted to some distance behind the mechanical Disciple.

”Hey, fancy a game?” Jiang Shu raised his hands high as he stood up and addressed the Fox, ”Sure, I’ll play with you.”

”Oh? How do you want to play?” The Fox showed interest, sharing the same playful spirit as Jiang Shu.

”It’s simple, you have three chips.” Jiang Shu stretched out three fingers, ”You have three policemen over there, those are your chips, and three criminals are the reward.”

”Uh-huh,” The Fox glanced at the three limp policemen by his feet and nodded.

”It’s simple, three multiple-choice questions. If you get them all right, I can help you find these three criminals. As long as you find them, you can do whatever you want with those three people’s lives,” Jiang Shu said with a smile.

”Ah, that’s not fair,” The Fox shook his head, disagreeing with the game Jiang Shu proposed, ”I’m in the advantage now, but in this game, I’m at a disadvantage. No matter what, the three policemen will be rescued, while I need to get all the multiple-choice questions right to be handed the criminals.”

”It’s simple logic; you won’t kill the policemen,” Jiang Shu shrugged, ”Also, before the police station’s communication network went down, you knew everyone’s locations, didn’t you? That’s your natural advantage, and we’ve always been in your line of sight, never getting a chance to tamper with anything. Clearly, you have a clear understanding of their positions, don’t you?”

”Emmm, you convinced me,” The Fox pondered for a moment, licking his lips, ”I’ll play this game.”

”I can tell you one thing, a crucial thing for this game, but at the same time, during the course of the game, I can also add a limitation at any time. Don’t worry, it’s just a limitation,” Jiang Shu continued, his lips curling into a smile though his eyes remained calm and deep, giving the smile a distanced feel.

”Alright, I agree, go ahead,” The Fox nodded as well, the initiative still in his hands regarding where exactly these people might be...

In the meeting hall, it was clear they were inside the meeting hall.

At the moment the data center and network crashed, he had obtained the police station’s internal map and location diagram.

Although it only marked the positions of the policemen and the Bait Mines, it was undeniable that those ten protection targets in the meeting hall were guarded by so many police officers.

Moreover, at that time, Wolf and Kirie Tsukimiya were there; Jiang Shu must have been there too, which means these three people are part of the decision-making layer, so the place where these three are is definitely where the ten protection targets are.

Moreover, the mechanical Disciples had searched from top to bottom, room by room, leaving only one meeting hall and the rooms on either side of the hall unchecked.

But the doors on both sides had never been opened—a point he was certain of, having control over the internal network of the police station.

Unless those ten had already left the police station, they had to be in the central meeting hall.

But if they had left the police station, he should have noticed, as he had also arranged for mechanical Disciples in the tall building across the street to monitor the situation here.

Thinking this, the Fox felt considerably reassured; in this game, his chances of winning were quite high, even against Jiang Shu.

”I want to say that these ten people are definitely inside this police station and they must be in these three rooms now,” Jiang Shu walked up to the firmly closed three doors, pointing at them, ”Now, you’ll throw away all firearms, um, all weapons that can remotely attack others. After all, playing a game is all about integrity, isn’t it?”

”Throw them away?” The Fox nodded, then placed a handgun on the ground, ”Devil Wind, take down your guns.”

Devil Wind nodded and removed three guns from his forearm.

”But, shouldn’t you also hand over your guns?” The Fox continued, ”Otherwise, isn’t that a bit unfair?”

Jiang Shu was taken aback but then laughed, ”Of course.”

”I’m not like you; I certainly wouldn’t do anything like stabbing you in the back,” Wolf scoffed as he placed his black and red pistol on the ground and kicked it away.

Kirie likewise handed over her small, delicate ladies’ pistol.

”...And another one,” Jiang Shu, with a darkened expression, poked Wolf in the pocket on his hip, ”Don’t be smart.”

”Hey, why are you like this!” Wolf suddenly exclaimed, but seeing that the gazes of the Fox and Devil Wind were constantly fixed on him, and those mechanical disciples staring straight ahead, he reluctantly took out another revolver and threw it to the ground as well.

”Clang.”

The revolver was directly thrown to the ground, receiving significantly different treatment from the laser pistol earlier.

Eta: As the new takes over the old, from afar we see the old departing with grief and resentment.

”Now, it’s your turn to make a choice,” Jiang Shu pointed to the three doors, ”Behind which of these doors are those ten people?”

”The meeting hall, that is... the middle one,” the Fox answered without hesitation.

”Alright,” Jiang Shu nodded, then opened the other two doors, both of which were empty. He made a show of looking inside, ”It seems... your choice is correct.”

Then, he turned back to the Fox and Devil Wind and gestured invitingly, ”Now then, come over.”
