Chapter 178: Chapter 147 Deception Group’s Plan_3OK.

This meant Mu Jin had already handled things on his end, and all he needed to do now was to elude the control of the police here.

This would not be difficult.

After Joyce had finished inspecting the restroom, he walked into a stall, and a new noise message came through on his wristwatch.

Translated, it meant...

Hm? The evidence is in this building? Do I have to fetch it myself?

Albert instinctively wanted to lick his lips but decided against it, remembering that the human skin mask was not very stable.

He put down the toilet lid, stepped on it, opened a concealed slot in the ceiling, and took out a vacuum-compacted portable wing suit pack hidden inside, wearing it beneath his jacket.

The wing suit pack, having been vacuum-compressed, was just a small piece that showed no signs of alteration from the outside.

Then he really did take his time using the restroom.

”Police Chief Joyce, there’s something very important in my office, would you mind accompanying me to retrieve it?” Albert walked out of the stall and asked Joyce earnestly, his sincere demeanor leaving no room for doubt.

”Sure, may I ask what it is? It’s not very peaceful outside right now, and I would suggest not stirring things up unless it’s necessary,” Joyce responded directly.

”It’s... evidence, part of the evidence for this case. I think I need to reveal some facts to the police,” Albert said with a serious face.

”Alright, I’ll go with you,” Joyce decided, and at the same time, he relayed this message to Police Chief Charles.

”Let’s go,” Albert led the way while Joyce typed on his wristwatch, keeping close behind him.

The two descended two flights of stairs and walked directly through the hallway to Albert’s office.

Before Albert, a policeman had just come up from the stairs. He casually glanced at Albert, hesitated in his steps, and then walked directly towards him.

There was trouble.

Was he here to assassinate me covertly?

It seemed to be just a coincidence...

Such bad luck; wasn’t someone cursing me?

Albert made a judgment in his mind and watched the policeman’s hands, ready to anticipate his actions.

The two walked towards each other, their steps firm when, at the moment of contact, the policeman suddenly lashed out, pulling a dagger from his waist and thrusting it straight at Albert’s chest.

Albert merely sidestepped slightly, his right hand having already produced a scalpel, with which he slashed upward, first cutting the policeman’s wrist and then smoothly slashing across his neck.

”Clang—” The dagger fell to the ground.

”Whoosh—” The carotid artery was sliced open, blood spraying out, directly splashing onto Joyce, who was behind Albert.

At the same time, Albert quickly stepped forward, pushing the policeman, whose throat he had cut, causing him to smash into Joyce.

”You!” Joyce was hit squarely by the policeman. The sudden incident stunned him for a second, but he quickly realized what had happened, pushed the policeman away, and chased after him.

Meanwhile, Albert had already flung open his office door, rushed in, and locked it behind him.

He found the concealed slot mentioned in the message, retrieved a USB flash drive, and plugged it into his wristwatch.

”Done,” Ancient Snake chuckled. Then he took off his coat, removed the human skin mask, put on the Ancient Snake mask, and unfolded the wing suit.

He broke the window, looked back at the tightly locked door, and jumped down.

Upon landing on a pre-prepared capture net, he dialed Fox’s number, ”Got the crime list, I’ve sent it to you.”

”That’s good, I’ve been waiting for a long while,” Fox laughed on the other end.

Ancient Snake packed up the capture net and asked, ”I say, was that really necessary? Couldn’t you have hypnotized someone to get the crime list directly?”

”I definitely could,” Fox admitted, ”but that would be pointless, subjective justice without evidence...is no different from evil.”

”Redundant effort.” To this, Ancient Snake simply dismissed it with a scoff of four words.
