Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

95: Find an excuse to leave the teamThe five reporters were very clever.

They didn’t stop directly; instead, they pretended to follow the main group forward until the group turned a corner and reached the next road, where no one could see Exhibition Hall 8 anymore.

Then, they quietly detached from the main group, planning to return to Exhibition Hall 8.

Of course, when they detached, acquaintances would ask them where they were going.

To this, they all, without changing their expressions, concocted various lies.

For example:

”I’m going to the restroom.”

”I have low blood sugar; I want to eat something.”

”Oh no, I accidentally left something behind.”

...As for these five lying reporters, as they walked, they realized everyone was taking the same path, and they couldn’t shake off the people next to them.

What’s going on?

Were they discovered?

No, not many people came over, just these few.

The other three were fine; they had only lied to others.

They just exchanged polite smiles.

But the other two were more awkward; they had lied to each other.

”Brother, weren’t you going to the restroom?”

”Brother, weren’t you going to eat?”

”What a coincidence, we’re going the same way.”

”Coincidence my foot! Eating and the restroom aren’t the same way. It’s fine for me to go this direction for the restroom, but for eating, I need to go back. If you’re going in the restroom’s direction now, are you planning to eat in the restroom?!”

Seriously, he’s still playing dumb with me, Wang Yizhou thought.

”Hehehehe, brother, stop pretending; you’re definitely not going to eat.”

”╭(╯^╰)╮ Hmph, brother, you’re no different. Look, we just passed the restroom, and you didn’t go in either.”

The five knew they couldn’t get exclusive information, so they could only slow their hurried steps to avoid bumping into others... Soon after, the five arrived together at the original Exhibition Hall 8.

”Why are you all back? Is something wrong?”

Yang Haoran, who remained in the exhibition hall, saw the five reporters approach together and thought they had left something behind.

The five looked around and found that only Yang Haoran was in the exhibition hall. They couldn’t find the person they were looking for, so they could only ask Yang Haoran.

”Um, where is the teacher who was standing next to the Telescope cards just now? Can we interview him?”

”You mean Xu Bai? He took his younger brother out to wander around and might not be back for a while.”

The five reporters exchanged glances.

Wang Yizhou felt that since they had come all this way, they might as well ask a few questions.

”Hello, may I ask if Mr. Xu is the creator of the Telescope cards?”

”That’s not entirely accurate. Xu Bai guided three students in its creation; it was a group effort.”

Yang Haoran keenly detected the reporter’s trap and immediately retorted.

”Okay, okay, we’re very sorry. We were just too excited. The main thing is that this cards is too eye-catching in this competition, and we’re very curious.”

Wang Yizhou’s good friend Wu Feng quickly smoothed things over to avoid irritating the other party, which would make it difficult if they were driven away.

”May I ask what the approximate selling price of this cards is? Do you know?”

”I know that. I also bought a two-star cards. The price is still very affordable: one-star cardss are 148 yuan, two-star cardss are 200 yuan, and three-star cardss are 325 yuan.”

With that, Yang Haoran took out the two-star Telescope cards from his pocket and showed it to the reporters.

”May I ask...”

...The reporters then asked many more questions. Yang Haoran answered what he knew and could only say ’no comment’ to what he didn’t know, while also promoting the Liuli Exhibition for tomorrow afternoon.
