Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

51: Making a magnifying glassThe chopsticks bent even more noticeably.

That’s right, the refractive index of light is different in media of different densities. When salt is added to water and dissolves, its density increases.

If you continue to add salt, the refractive index will further increase, and the ’bending’ phenomenon of the chopsticks will become even more pronounced.

Therefore, when you make a Magnifying Glass, the lens inside is very important.

After saying that, Xu Bai took out a stack of cardss from his pocket, then used a cards reader to retrieve a bunch of Magnifying Glasses, and let them see the differences between the various Magnifying Glasses.

This also demonstrated to Zhao Zixuan and the other two that different materials result in different magnification effects for the Magnifying Glass.

For Zhao Zixuan and the other two, it might just be the blurriness of what they see and the difference in the size of the magnification.

To explain it in detail, it’s the difference in the material and craftsmanship of the Magnifying Glass.

For materials, Xu Bai made crystal, volcanic glass, artificial glass, plastic, sapphire glass, and so on.

For craftsmanship, Xu Bai divided it into rough processing and fine processing.

Making these was what gave Xu Bai a headache all night. One must know that trying to describe these materials through thought and then creating cardss from them was very difficult.

Fortunately, perhaps it was a benefit of his transmigration, Xu Bai found that he remembered his memories from before transmigration very clearly. He usually enjoyed watching various Popular Science videos, and several bloggers liked to post videos of making everything by hand, which is how he learned about these things.

Afterward, Xu Bai handed the blueprints for the Magnifying Glass one by one to Zhao Zixuan and the other two.

In fact, they could make them now; they just needed to make two cardss, one for the lens and one for the frame, and then combine them.

Currently, according to Xu Bai’s experiments, good ones could reach two-star cardss, while typical ones were one-star cardss.

Zhao Zixuan and the other two’s performance was quite good; they were quite accurate in controlling the size, and they managed to make them after one or two tries.

The first one to finish was Fang Mu. Looking at the Magnifying Glass in front of him, Fang Mu could not hide his joy.

“I’m done.”

Hearing this, Zhao Zixuan couldn’t sit still. He jumped out of his seat and went over to Fang Mu to look at the Magnifying Glass his brother made.

Xu Bai heard Fang Mu’s words, walked over to take a look, and nodded. It was indeed finished.

“This is a one-star cards. You can practice more and try to make a two-star Magnifying Glass.”

“Okay.” Fang Mu nodded, sent Zhao Zixuan back to his seat, and continued to calm down and practice.

Li Baoyu was not disturbed by them and was constantly improving his design drawings. He was more cautious, wanting to design what he wanted to make first before starting, almost like he had OCD.

However, the styles of the Magnifying Glass were all the same. To make a difference from others, it was just a matter of adding some patterns and color distinctions.

So, before long, Li Baoyu had finished his design drawing and then began to make cardss according to his design drawing.

Sure enough, as Xu Bai expected, the second one to finish was Li Baoyu.

And although Zhao Zixuan’s personality was a bit erratic, he was still smart. With his two companions having made theirs, his competitive spirit kicked in, and he finally made his as well.

One thing was the same: all three of them made one-star cardss.

Xu Bai was very satisfied with his three subordinates’ cards-making abilities; they were all very intelligent and understood things quickly.

Afterward, Zhao Zixuan quickly made more than twenty cardss in a row.

Xu Bai saw it but didn’t say much, thinking he wanted quantity to lead to a qualitative change.

Little did he know, he just wanted to show off at school.
