Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

76: A lousy thiefAfter school, Jin Momo said goodbye to her friends and stayed in the classroom alone.

”Ji Yun, Fang Mu...” Two names escaped Jin Momo’s lips.

Jin Momo looked at the sky, feeling that it was almost time.

The sky gradually darkened, and in this place without electric lights, the night would appear even more somber.

At night, the only light came from the candles burning in the academy corridors, making it the perfect time for the ’operation’.

Jin Momo changed into a set of black clothes and walked out of the classroom... Ji Yun’s office was completely dark; Zhao Zixuan and his group hadn’t arranged anyone inside.

After all, if she wasn’t caught red-handed, with Jin Momo’s family background, it would be easy for her to argue her way out and avoid conviction.

So everyone was hiding in the flower bushes in front...

”Rustle, rustle.”

”Creak.”

”I remember her saying that after the teacher collected their group’s cardss, she put them in this cabinet in the back... Ah, here it is, found it... Fang Mu... Fang Mu’s group’s cards... It’s this one.”

After a series of faint sounds, Jin Momo put the cards, which was tucked into Fang Mu and his group’s final report, into her pocket, slipped the cards she was holding inside, and then opened the office door.

One step, two steps.

”Don’t move!” ”Don’t move!” ”Don’t move!” ”Don’t move!” ...A string of voices erupted in the silent night, followed by several sources of light that illuminated the area in front of Ji Yun’s office door, revealing Jin Momo’s face.

A security guard stepped forward and handcuffed Jin Momo’s hands.

”Let go of me! What are you doing? Don’t you know who I am?” Jin Momo struggled with all her might.

But it was all in vain.

”We know who you are, Jin Momo. We all saw it. You came to steal the cardss for the Card Innovation Competition, didn’t you?”

”I just... I just came to look for something. I dropped something in the teacher’s office. This is my item. Why are you saying I stole it?”

Jin Momo stubbornly denied it.

”Don’t try to argue. The evidence is in your pocket. In such a dark environment, you definitely couldn’t use those black market tools to erase the cards’s mark, could you? Even if you cleared it, it doesn’t matter. We sprinkled other powder on the cards as a mark.”

With that, Security Captain Xuanye took the cards from Jin Momo’s pocket. He held the cards over a candle, and the candle’s flame turned bright red.

Seeing the scene before her, Jin Momo’s expression changed. She hadn’t expected that even after wiping the cards’s surface, there would be another mark. They had planned this against her lack of awareness.

”Jin Momo, are you still not admitting it?”

”I will not admit it. I’ll even say you framed me.”

After speaking, Jin Momo closed her eyes and remained silent.

The rest of the matter could no longer be resolved through words; it could only be settled through discussions between the academy and the families.

Xuanye didn’t continue arguing with Jin Momo. ”Take her away for now.”

”Yes.”

”The rest of you can go back to sleep now.”

”Alright.” Zhao Zixuan, the other two, and Homeroom Teacher Ji Yun said goodbye and walked out of the academy with their arms around each other’s shoulders.

”What do you think will happen to Jin Momo?”

”I don’t know. I just hope we can get rid of her. Right, Fang Mu?”

”Yes, yes, yes. I’m a bit tired. Aren’t you guys tired?”

”I’m very excited. I won’t be able to sleep tonight.”

”I’m pretty excited too. I wonder when the next time will be.”

”You still want a next time?”

”Hahahaha”
