Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

67: Xu Le walkingXu Bai, confirming that Xu Le would not continue sleeping, confidently placed him on the mat.

He let him play on the mat by himself.

”Click-clack, click-clack.” ”Ding-dong.”

”Click-clack, click-clack.” ”Ding-dong.”

”Click-clack, click-clack.” ”Ding-dong.”

Xu Le repeatedly played with the mechanical toy car on the blanket. The car kept pulling back and then rushing forward.

”Click-clack, click-clack, click-clack, click-clack, click-clack.”

”Ding-dong~ Ding-dong~ Ding-dong~” ”Thump.”

This time, Xu Le pulled the car back too far, so the car drove forward a longer distance than before. As expected, the car broke through all obstacles and finally hit the wall in the distance.

Xu Le looked at the car in the distance, then looked at his older brother, Xu Bai, wanting his brother to help him pick up his toy.

Xu Bai noticed Xu Le’s gaze, but he silently raised the newspaper in front of him, blocking his view. He was worried that if he went to pick it up, Xu Le would constantly ask him to do it again.

Seeing that his brother didn’t move, Xu Le sighed like a little adult.

”Sigh.”

Then, Xu Le’s expression became serious. He changed from sitting to lying on his stomach, all fours on the ground, then arched his back, slowly, slowly standing up.

”Great job.” Xu Le felt proud of his actions just now.

Seeing Xu Le’s movements, Xu Bai almost cried out in excitement, but he held it in.

After that, just as Xu Bai had expected, Xu Le started to walk.

One step, two steps, three steps, four steps... ten steps, eleven steps, twelve steps, thirteen steps.

It wasn’t until he had taken thirteen steps that Xu Le wobbled and sat down. At this point, Xu Le was only two steps away from his toy car.

Perhaps he was a little tired; he didn’t continue walking. He crawled twice on his stomach and got the toy car.

He looked at the path he had taken and then at his brother.

Xu Bai was startled and quickly put the newspaper back in front of him, pretending to have been reading it all along.

Finding that his brother was still busy and hadn’t seen him, Xu Le repeated his previous actions, intending to stand up. However, because he was holding the toy car, the wheels moved forward with Xu Le’s force, and Xu Le’s right hand slipped forward, causing him to fall back down.

Looking at the toy car in his hand, Xu Le was still very clever. He remembered how the car had gotten there before and decided to make it return the same way, so he wouldn’t have to carry it back.

”Click-clack, click-clack, click-clack.”

”Ding-dong~ Ding-dong~”

The car rushed back onto the mat as Xu Le had expected.

Xu Le smiled and clapped his hands to reward himself. ”Lele, great job.”

Immediately after, he lay down again, arched his back, and stood up once more.

One step, two steps, three steps, four steps... ten steps.

This time, he might not have had as much energy as the first time. Xu Le walked ten steps and then sat down with a thud. Although he didn’t return to his original spot, he was still on the mat, and the car was next to him, so he continued to play with the car, not thinking about returning to his original position.

”Click-clack, click-clack.” ”Ding-dong.”

”Click-clack, click-clack.” ”Ding-dong.”

”Click-clack, click-clack.” ”Ding-dong.”

Sitting by the cabinet, Xu Bai felt a bittersweet sensation, as if the child he was raising had grown up and could walk.

A child’s growth always manifests in certain moments, like their first words, first steps, first day of school, and so on.
