Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

58: Li Lan and Li YueWhile these brothers had already washed up and were preparing for bed, a brother and sister on the other side were just starting their dinner.

”Brother, why are you home so late today? Did something happen?”

Li Lan heard his sister’s question, pulled a Magnifying Glass from his bag, and, as if presenting a treasure, dangled it in front of her.

”Look what this is?”

Hearing her brother’s question, Li Yue looked at Li Lan’s shaking hand, where a Magnifying Glass glinted brightly before her eyes.

”This is... this is a Magnifying Glass? Brother, where did you get it? You could sell it.”

As expected of siblings, they both thought of selling it.

The brother and sister had never met their parents since childhood and relied on each other. Although they had many relatives, what was borrowed always had to be repaid. Both of them had strong self-esteem; they could accept ordinary gifts, but if money was offered, they refused.

The brother and sister weren’t particularly poor. They actually had some inheritance from their parents, but it was only enough for Li Lan to finish his elementary academy and his sister Li Yue to finish her design academy.

Li Lan initially planned to work for three or four years after finishing his elementary academy to earn the tuition for Higher Academy before attending. Now, in just one evening, he had already earned a lot.

”It’s nothing. Do you still remember Zhao Zixuan, my deskmate?”

”I remember him. Did you get it from him?”

”Yes, he can draw this cards, and he also promised to ask his master if he could teach me. Let’s not talk about that for now, as he might not agree.

Right now, I’m getting them from Zi Xuan for 60 yuan per cards, and today I sold them for almost 200 yuan per cards, earning about 3700 yuan in one day. Zi Xuan also said he would give me the Magnifying Glass cardss that his friends Fang Mu and Li Baoyu practice with. In the future, there will be at least 30 cardss daily, so I might be coming home a bit later during this period.”

”That’s great, Brother! Your friends are really good. This way, you’ll quickly earn your Higher Academy tuition. I even thought about dropping out before, to give you my tuition for your schooling.”

”No need, Yue Yue. I’ve realized that Card Makers do earn money. The past few years were all about building a foundation, and now that I’m capable of making cardss, I can also try making other cardss later. I’ll definitely earn some money, so you don’t have to worry about my tuition.”

With the tuition issue settled, the huge burden on their shoulders was lifted. Both of them breathed a sigh of relief and exchanged a smile.

”Brother, do you still have cardss on hand now? I’ll take them to my academy and ask if any classmates want to buy them.

Although our classmates aren’t Card Makers, many are still quite interested in new cardss.”

Hearing his sister wanted to sell cardss to her classmates, Li Lan thought for a moment, then shook his head.

”No need. Won’t you be looked down upon by your classmates if you go to sell these? I can do it.”

”No, I still have some friends. I’ll only ask my friends; they’re not short on money, they just lack a place to buy them.

And this amount of money is nothing to them.”

”Alright then, I still have five cardss here, take them all. The money you earn from selling these will be your pocket money.”

”Let’s save it first. We need to save enough for tuition, and then there’s living expenses. Don’t be so wasteful.”

Li Yue glared at her brother. He was already thinking about spending money carelessly before they had even saved enough.

Li Lan smiled and nodded, not refuting his sister.

After their conversation, the brother and sister continued eating their dinner.
