Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

20: Old Schoolmate 2Seeing that Ji Yun can be a teacher at the academy, you know how capable she is.

Don’t think of this as just a teacher in a small county; it’s quite difficult to be a teacher at a cards academy. Not only do you need to pass a qualification exam, but you also need a recommendation from a professor.

This qualification exam isn’t easy to pass either. It’s like thousands of soldiers crossing a single-plank bridge in the college entrance exam; the number of people eliminated could circle the planet.

Why does Xu Bai know this? Because the former Xu Bai also thought about becoming a teacher, specifically looked into it, and then gave up. Unless an ordinary person is exceptionally outstanding, there’s no way to get a professor’s recommendation.

”Yes, Xu Bai and I both graduated from Purple Lake Academy in the capital. What a coincidence, I didn’t expect to meet you here. I thought you’d be striving in the capital.”

”Yes, what a coincidence. This is my hometown. The job market in the capital is too harsh. You know my grades were just average. I’ve opened a cards shop across from the school now. How did you end up as a teacher at this academy?”

Xu Bai replied politely, also very surprised to meet an old classmate here.

”Me? This is how it is. To be a teacher in a big city, you need to gain experience in a county town. Only after a certain number of years teaching can you return to a big city.

But I’ve already been a teacher for one year; this is my second year.

You’re the external instructor they hired. Do you have any ideas yet? After your cardss are made, can I observe them first?”

”No problem. You can be a Homeroom Teacher in your second year; that’s very impressive. It looks like you’re the one who has developed the best among our class.

We’re just participating in a small competition. Currently, we only have a few ideas. I’ll show you the cardss after they’re made.”

While they were chatting, Xu Le quietly didn’t make a sound, turning his head as they spoke, nodding occasionally as if he understood, while Zhao Zixuan refilled the form.

”Teacher, I’m done filling it out.”

Ji Yun took the application form Zhao Zixuan handed her and gave him three ’exit cardss’.

”Alright, if you want to focus on the competition this month, besides your professional classes, you can use this pass to leave school to make cardss. If you have any questions, you can also ask your teacher. Your teacher wishes you can create cardss that impress me.”

”Okay, borrowing Teacher Li’s auspicious words, we won’t disturb your rest. I’ll take Brother Xu to the cafeteria to eat. This is also Brother Xu’s alma mater.”

Hearing Zhao Zixuan’s words, Ji Yun took out her teacher cards and handed it to Zhao Zixuan, ”Here, go use my cards to get a meal for Xu Bai at the teachers’ cafeteria.”

Then she turned to Xu Bai and said, ”It’s not easy to meet an old classmate. I’ll treat you to a meal. I already ate lunch, so I won’t go with you.”

Xu Bai knew that Ji Yun wasn’t short on money and didn’t decline her; he could always treat her back later.

”I won’t be polite then. You know my shop is right across from the academy. If there’s anything you want to buy, you can come and take a look. I’ll give you a discount.”

”Mm, okay, I’ll go check it out when I have time.”

With everything taken care of, the two adults and one child bid farewell to Ji Yun and headed towards the cafeteria for a meal.

In fact, it only took seven or eight minutes in total, not very long, so they believed the food in the cafeteria would still be hot and not cold in this weather.

Braised pork, long awaited, they have arrived.
