Hero of Darkness

Chapter 1203 1203: The Divine Decree

Before the eyes of the citizens of the Abyss Empire, Kahn finally made his appearance. Entrancing everyone with his charismatic aura while revealing his domineering essence in front of those present within the confines of the headquarters of the Cult of Darkborne.

This time, he was already wearing the Legendary rank Drakos Armor so his tyrannical aura was already at the peak, and along with the effects from the synergy between his weapons due to the Draconian Bloodline, it was as if he was already a rank higher than what it seemed.

”This... Our Cult Leaderʼs aura matches that of an 8th-stage saint, but he is clearly a beginner 7th-stage saint.” spoke one of the chapter masters who had a red snake coiling around the skull with bat-like wings as the insignia of their chapter.

His words fell on the ears of other chapter mastersʼ as one of them replied.

This chapter master was 18 feet tall, wearing massive black and golden armor. By appearance, he was the biggest and the strongest chapter master among the Doom Templars. And his own rank was a peak 6th-stage saint.

Tyrebrax, the Chapter Master of Abyss Deinos, one of the strongest forces of the cult despite their limited numbers, in close to only 400 Templars, spoke with an elated tone.

”Do you not sense it, brothers? The Cult Leader is not overexerting his aura upon us.

No, he is constraining it so we donʼt die from its destructive nature.”

Tyrebraxʼs word sent shivers down everyoneʼs body, whether they were members of the cult or not.

The saints among the Imperial faction and the Senate also heard those words clearly, and their entire being jolted in shock.

”Hah! You barbarians can detect only that much?

Let me tell you something in words that even brainless death machines like you would understand.” spoke a man with a piercing voice, while holding a big staff that had a bright burning brazier on the top.

This person was clad in intricate but regal red and yellow robes. But the most distinctive part about his appearance was that he had 4 mechanical arms and a big saucer-like flying platform to stand upon, hovering quietly in the air.

”I see the deep and unending darkness within the Cult Leader. But there are many different powers residing within his body.

One of them seems to be a prominent but extremely rare law of reality. And it is so strong that it might as well rival the darkness element, which came along with the role of being the Hero of Darkness.

He is no mere chosen one. He has reached unprecedented achievement that many geniuses born centuries ago have failed to comprehend, even to this day.” spoke the man as he finally took the hood off.

By his thinning hair and a bionic left eye, along with his normal human body, they could tell that he was no templar.

This man was Calavanius. The leader of a separate force in the cult was called the Magus Secundus. They were the ones who made all the weaponry and technology, such as their flying battleships, armors worn by the templars, and artifacts that aided in wars.

So despite the visible disdain in his tone, no one felt the need to pull ranks or antagonize this man for the lack of respect in his tone.

And his words, too, reached the ears of all the guests and the chapter master.

Kahn had made his existence known just a minute ago, and the prominent figures of the Cult of Darkborne were already judging and dissecting his entire being.

Kahn turned his head towards Calavaniusʼ direction and lightly nodded, approving of the latterʼs analysis and remark.

Then Kahn addressed the people of the Abyss Empire and all those present with a firm tone.

”I was summoned in the outside world, the one you all know as Vantrea. A place which, by right, you should be able to call your homeworld.

Ever since I was summoned in Vantrea over six years ago... I have been forced to hide myself, lest I wish to be hunted and die a gruesome death.

I had to hide who I truly am, even from those I wished to protect and cared for.” said Kahn right off the bat.

”Does that mean I was a coward? Or an incompetent hero who could not even protect himself?

No... It simply meant that I bore the burden of a far greater responsibility which forced me to avoid risking any potential danger that could end with not only my own death... the death of the future of the Abyss Empire!” declared Kahn.

Stunned!

The moment he spoke those words, everyoneʼs undivided attention and their alert minds were unified, focusing solely on Kahn.

”I have gone through hell just to become strong enough to come here one day and stand proudly in front of all of you.

I broke every bone in my body, and have been on the brink of death too too many times that I even stopped counting.

I made sure to acquire every combat technique, every skill, magic arts, knowledge, and experience required not only to fight... but to lead.

Iʼm now a beginner 7th-stage saint, accomplished in only 6 years since my arrival. A feat impossible to achieve even by all of my predecessors till this day.

All those years, I kept suffering without an end just so I could come here one day and have enough strength to both protect and lead you towards your promised future.

To let you all know that your ancestors did not die in vain.” he iterated with a nostalgic tone.

”For the sake of the tantamount decision made by your forefathers to hide and cage themselves in this confined realm, just so you all could be safe and get a chance to live... I had to prove myself worthy of being the person who would get you all out of this world and bring you to your rightful place,” iterated Kahn, his voice resolute and precise.

”You, people of the Abyss Empire and the devotees of the Cult of Darkborne...

By the authority bestowed upon me by none other than the almighty God of Darkness himself, I declare your future.” he made a bellowing announcement that encapsulated the mind and body of everyone listening.

”You will regain your true freedom. You will gain the future that your forefathers sacrificed their lives for.

I promise that once you enter the real world under my leadership...” spoke Kahn, his voice filled with rage, as he commanded his first decree as the Hero of Darkness.

”You shall have Vindication!”
