Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2700: Chapter 2696: Living Separately

Yu Xiu loves children, so whether it’s her son or daughter, she doesn’t want to favor one over the other.

If it were those families that favor boys over girls, they wouldn’t even say she’s good to her kids, they’d call her biased for doing anything else.

Yu Xiu has experienced this herself. In her family, although her parents treated her well, they treated her brother better, so Yu Xiu doesn’t want her children to feel the same way.

Though she doesn’t resent or hate it, she doesn’t like that mindset, and since her family allowed her to receive so much education, she has no complaints about her family. She just hopes to do better herself.

The reason Yu Xiu says this is that although her parents were a bit biased towards her brother, they were also good to her. Maybe it was because there were many children in the family and they couldn’t give attention to all.

But even with their limited attention, they tried their best to give her the best, which is why Yu Xiu, as a daughter, could receive so much education among her peers.

”Hmm, sister-in-law, no need to be polite, take me to see the children.” Qin Xue thought she came here to see them after all. Now that the child is sick, she must help out first, and other things can wait.

”Okay, she’s in this room.” Originally, Yu Xiu and her husband were sleeping with the children, but as the children grew, it became difficult to do so.

After all, they have one son and one daughter, and it’s often said, sons should avoid their mothers when grown, and daughters should avoid their fathers. So aside from the room for the couple, the only other room was taken by Xu Jia, while Xu Hu slept in the living room.

They initially thought about moving them apart, thinking it’d be fine to make do, but the children didn’t want that, and, for the sake of both the children and their relationship as a couple, she had to agree.

Yu Xiu agrees with this because the healthy growth of their children is what they most want to protect.

”Hmm, alright.” Seeing this, Qin Xue immediately understood the situation and realized Yu Xiu handled it well.

The children’s curiosity is immense, and they have a mindset of wanting to explore everything they see, which can be harmful to their growth.

Some things are too complex for them to understand at their young age, and parents often find it awkward to explain, resulting in an avoidant response.

This also explains the stark differences between abroad and here, as people’s thinking and expectations can differ, making some topics difficult to address directly.

Actually, Qin Xue prefers being straightforward. If children want to know something, the more adults avoid explaining clearly, the more children want to find out, leading them to seek answers.

So we shouldn’t think about extinguishing children’s curiosity; looking at it positively can have unexpected beneficial effects.

This is something Qin Xue realized after becoming a doctor because she noticed a problem.

For example, when children see a lighter producing a flame, they wonder how the flame comes out of it and want to play with it.

Everyone knows playing with fire is wrong and very dangerous, so adults think of putting the lighter away.

But the kids don’t understand; they’ll secretly watch where adults put it and take it out to play when adults aren’t around. That’s when it becomes dangerous and may lead to greater misfortune.
