Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2715: Chapter 2711: Isn’t Starting Over Difficult

Chu Molin thinks this way because the children are with them; there’s no need to worry about the kids’ situation. Otherwise, no matter how much time you give him, they wouldn’t stay long.

Before becoming parents, you could go anywhere for fun. After becoming parents, wherever you go, you’re always thinking about the kids—whether they’re okay, whether they’re crying, or eating well. You just want to hurry home. This is the biggest difference between being single and married.

”Alright, I’m heading to work now. Wait for me and don’t leave, you hear?” Jing Xin is currently working; she can’t leave for too long, but she’s worried Chu Molin and the others might leave, so she repeatedly insists they wait for her.

”Okay, go ahead.” What else could Chu Molin say? He’s not much of a talker, yet he’s said quite a bit, and now being told over and over to wait, he doesn’t feel like speaking anymore.

But how should he put it? Sometimes, certain situations follow their own course, so he agreed. Whatever will be, will be.

”You brat, you should have just come in when you got here! Why make people go through so many procedures?” Xie Jun finally saw Chu Molin’s figure.

”That’s not how it’s supposed to be.”

Of course, Chu Molin knew everyone here was familiar with each other, but the rules didn’t allow that, so he followed regulations.

He just didn’t expect Xie Jun, who usually abides by the rules, to speak to him like this, which truly surprised him.

”You’re still so upright. Aren’t you working? Why did you come?” Xie Jun pointed to a chair for him to sit, poured a glass of water for Chu Molin, and then asked.

”I’m unemployed now, a free man. I can go wherever I want.” Chu Molin said with exceptional calm.

”What happened? Did you make a mistake?” Xie Jun was startled.

”No, you were lucky enough to wait until the policy came after your child was born. For me, the policy came while the child was still in the womb, so I had to choose one.” Although Chu Molin felt a bit distressed about this, it was impossible for him to give up the child.

”So that’s how it is. What a shame, your future looked so promising. I didn’t expect you’d be the first among us affected by it.” Xie Jun knew about this too. But like Molin said, for them, the documents arrived late, only after the child was born, so his job is still secure.

Just looking at Chu Molin, Xie Jun really felt it was a pity. Such a promising young man, ruined just like that—it’s truly heartbreaking.

Yet, as Molin said, if it were him, he’d make the same decision.

Children are innocent; they aren’t something you can have just because you want to. It’s like how long he wanted a second child, but nothing happened until Qin Xue helped his wife, finally making it possible, narrowly escaping the policy.

They were lucky—they kept their jobs and had the child. Not everyone has such good fortune.

So, Xie Jun agreed that Molin was right; he was indeed lucky.

”It’s not a pity. There’s always a path for my talents; if I don’t take this one, I’ll take another. Or do you think I can only do this one thing, and I wouldn’t succeed at anything else?” Molin didn’t think his situation was bad, but he didn’t want Qin Xue to hear this.

”That’s not what I meant. With your skills, I believe you’ll excel in other fields too. But don’t you find starting over again to be quite challenging?” Xie Jun thought of how he already switched jobs twice; doing it again would mean learning anew, which is tough for most people.

”I won’t.” Molin didn’t think that way at all.
