Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2705: Chapter 2701: I Gave Them the Money

”Auntie, I’m really fine, but there was an older girl who was so pitiful. She was beaten by older boys, and they took all her money. Now, I don’t know what happened to her. I’m scared. I’m afraid to speak up. Is the older girl dead?” Xu Jia was frightened, afraid she would be treated the same way, so she said nothing and left.

Now she’s sick, and no one knows why she’s like this. She didn’t expect Qin Xue to understand her thoughts, so she felt it was okay to talk to Qin Xue but didn’t dare to speak to her mother.

”Sister-in-law, could you step out for a bit? I’d like to chat with Jiajia. You can come back and talk to her after I’m done, okay?” Qin Xue looked at Yu Xiu. As long as she was here, the child clearly didn’t dare to speak.

Maybe someone told her not to tell her parents, so she didn’t dare to speak up.

Keeping everything bottled up inside, she hadn’t expected to fall ill. Now that she saw her, she wasn’t her parent, so Xu Jia didn’t feel as burdened.

That’s why she would think about telling her, but with Yu Xiu here, she naturally wouldn’t say anything. Not even Xu Jia knew how to express herself, and neither did Qin Xue.

Was all her effort wasted just because Yu Xiu showed up?

Qin Xue didn’t want this kind of ending, so she had to get Yu Xiu to leave first. Otherwise, the child wouldn’t open up to her.

”Alright, I’ll leave. You should ask her carefully to see if she’s hurt anywhere, okay?” Yu Xiu didn’t want to leave initially, but after seeing Qin Xue’s signal, she suppressed her heartache and agreed to step out.

If not, her daughter would never speak up, and she wouldn’t understand what her child was thinking, which would be even worse.

Yu Xiu never expected her child had encountered such a thing, so after hearing her daughter’s words, she really didn’t know how to talk to her. It was better to let Qin Xue talk to her first and then she’d speak afterwards.

After Yu Xiu figured this out, she stepped outside, leaving it to Qin Xue to guide her daughter.

Her daughter kept it all inside, fell ill, and never told them anything, which made her deeply saddened. She just wanted to know what her daughter was thinking now.

Yu Xiu’s thoughts were different from Qin Xue’s. Qin Xue wanted to know if the child had been violated. The child was still young, and many things were not meant for her to encounter, so what Qin Xue wanted to ask was different from what Yu Xiu wanted to know.

But with Yu Xiu here, she didn’t know how to ask. Otherwise, if something happened that upset her, the child wouldn’t say anything again.

”Jiajia, tell Auntie, did any of those bad boys really touch your body? You must tell Auntie this, okay? We can’t let those bad boys hurt other kids too, right?” Qin Xue slowly asked Xu Jia, her eyes fixed intently on Xu Jia, making it clear that she genuinely just wanted to know the truth and wasn’t intending to hurt her.

”No, I just gave them my money. When they wanted to come closer, someone showed up. But when I was leaving, I saw an older girl being beaten in an alley...” Xu Jia told Qin Xue everything she saw.

”Alright, from now on, why don’t you let your father take you to school, okay? You’re still too young; it’s not safe for you to be alone.” After listening to Xu Jia, Qin Xue thought that only by doing this could she avoid letting her encounter such things again. It was necessary for her growth.

If not, such a young child might hold onto a psychological shadow, which could cause trouble in the future.
