Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2699: Chapter 2695: Will This Work?

”I’ve given her some to drink, now she has no choice but to drink it,” Yu Xiu thought about how her daughter simply doesn’t like drinking water.

Whenever she sees her, she tells her to drink more, but when she’s out of sight, she doesn’t see her drinking at all, which makes her angry but there’s nothing she can do.

She can only remind her to drink water whenever she sees her, so after getting sick, getting her to drink water requires extra effort.

”She usually doesn’t like drinking water, does she? That’s not good, they say water is the source of life, how can she not drink it?” Qin Xue listened to Yu Xiu’s words and understood the situation, another child who doesn’t like drinking water.

Qin Xue has encountered many kids like this, and it’s really not good, because for people, water is truly essential, not drinking it is problematic.

”Yes, she doesn’t like it.” After putting things away, Yu Xiu washed her hands and poured Qin Xue a cup of water.

”You can buy some chrysanthemums or add some Taraxacum mongolicum to her water. Maybe she just doesn’t like plain boiled water,” Qin Xue offered advice, unsure if Xu Jia simply doesn’t want plain water or if she dislikes water altogether.

After all, some people don’t drink water just because they don’t like the taste of plain boiled water, claiming it has a certain smell.

So they’d rather stay thirsty than drink it, but adding other things to the water removes the earthy smell, making it more pleasant.

This was something Qin Xue didn’t know before, but she learned about it from patients she encountered later, after hearing them make such comments.

To her, water has no taste, it’s just a matter of being thirsty or not wanting to drink.

Qin Xue really doesn’t see an issue here, but perhaps other people’s sense of smell or taste is more developed, allowing them to perceive it.

Qin Xue doesn’t deny this because people are so diverse, some have highly sensitive nerves, making them more receptive in various aspects.

Qin Xue herself is quite sensitive to smells too, but she can tolerate them, likely due to her experience as a doctor, seeing so many wounds that she’s accustomed to them.

She doesn’t want to say it’s because she’s been exposed so much that she’s become indifferent, but instead, she feels it’s a good thing – at least she can perceive it but not be overly troubled.

”Can I do that?” Yu Xiu had never considered this.

”Why not? If you have money, you can buy some dates, add one or two to her water. Dates are known for blood nourishment, everyone knows that. You can also add some goji berries, which are good for the eyes, beneficial for children.” Qin Xue sincerely suggests to Yu Xiu.

What’s wrong with that? It’s just drinking some water, why can’t she?

”That’s fine, I can do that.” Yu Xiu thought, dates are expensive, a rarity, but not unaffordable, it’s just a question of whether they’re effective or not.

Now hearing Qin Xue say they’re useful, she’ll use them to make water for her daughter to drink, and girls need to be nurtured well, otherwise, it’ll be a bigger problem when they grow up.

Though Yu Xiu isn’t a doctor, she knows it’s good for girls to have blood-nourishing supplies, she just felt her daughter was too young, so she hadn’t given them to her yet.

Now that she knows they can be used, she won’t hesitate, because children are what matters most. As long as they can provide good things for them, it’s no trouble for parents.
