Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2704: Chapter 2700: Xu Jia’s Condition

Qin Xue’s intention was to find a way for Xu Jia to reveal her inner thoughts to her, so she devised a plan to send Yu Xiu away. Now it was just the two of them left. She wondered if Xu Jia was willing to speak up.

”Auntie, how do you know what I’m thinking?” Xu Jia was momentarily stunned. Qin Xue’s words left her unsure of how to respond. Looking at her like this, Xu Jia felt that some things were not as her mother presented them.

And from Xu Jia’s expression, Qin Xue noticed that the surface looked very chaotic, and the underlying matters were certainly not simple.

”Because our Jiajia is a good child, she shares her concerns with Auntie and Mom, right?” Qin Xue continued to speak in a guiding manner to the child.

After all, the child is really young, just a few years old. If spoken too profoundly, she wouldn’t understand.

It was better to speak simply and understandably from the start. Regarding these matters, Qin Xue truly believed the child had many issues hidden in her heart.

”Auntie, I’m scared. I don’t dare to tell Mom, nor dare to tell Dad.” Xu Jia broke out crying.

For some reason, she dared not tell her family anything. However, facing Qin Xue, she broke through her inner barrier.

Qin Xue’s words were not wrong. Some things were not as simple as she thought. She was still young and couldn’t handle many things.

So Qin Xue guided Xu Jia step by step to make her speak out.

”Tell Auntie, what happened? Don’t be afraid; Auntie is here with you. Be good, don’t be scared.” Qin Xue sat on the bed, gently patting her back.

”Auntie, when I went home yesterday, I encountered some bad brothers blocking my way. They wanted me to hand over the money. One of the brothers even touched me. Later, a passing auntie scared them away.” Xu Jia spoke while crying.

”Where did the bad brother touch you? Quickly tell Mom.” Yu Xiu never imagined hearing such a crushing message.

”He didn’t touch me anywhere. When his hand reached out, I dodged it. When he tried to approach again, a passing auntie scared him away. But my money was gone. It was meant to be handed over as the living expenses to the teacher; it’s all gone.” Xu Jia looked at her mother coming over and cried directly.

In the past, her mother had told her that she couldn’t let others touch her body, nor allow anyone to touch her. She remembered it, so when that bad brother stretched his hand towards her, she dodged it and wasn’t touched.

She just felt sad thinking about the money her parents worked so hard for being gone. But in a corner she walked through, she saw a scene that frightened her. That’s why she got sick and had a fever, not that she didn’t know anything.

However, how could she say that to her parents? She was threatened not to tell them, or she would face such encounters on her way to school later. She was scared.

That’s why she returned without saying anything. For her family, her safety was more important, but for others, her safety was not as important as money.

But what could she do about such matters? That’s why she was at a loss. Otherwise, she would really be stopped by others. This was something Xu Jia didn’t want to see, nor wanted to experience, because her parents had to go to work, and no one could send her to school. So what could she do? She was too young to resist those bad people.

”Jiajia, take your time and tell Mom and Auntie about what you encountered. Don’t be afraid, we’ll all protect you.” Qin Xue didn’t expect Yu Xiu to come in at this moment. She had sent her away to reduce Xu Jia’s psychological burden, yet unexpectedly, as soon as she came in, Xu Jia started crying and stopped saying anything at all.
