Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2719: Chapter 2715: Soup Before Rice

”You’re back, sit down and rest for a while. I’ll go call Yu Xiu to come over for a meal, let’s all gather together.” Fang Hong and Qin Xue were cooking together, both were fast, and by the time they finished, the men also returned.

”Go ahead, just that Mr. Xu hasn’t returned yet, otherwise it would be livelier.” Xie Jun had no objections, after all, they’ve had many dinners together before, so having another one wouldn’t matter much.

So upon hearing his wife’s words, he agreed. Their two families often meet up whenever they have time, so seeing his wife going to invite Yu Xiu over for dinner, he had no objections. For them, being together meant being friends.

This wasn’t just because their wives were classmates; they were colleagues too, so there’s always some connection.

Qin Xue watched them talk, while she placed the dishes on the table.

”Come sit down quickly, don’t just stand there, later you’ll need to help move things.” Fang Hong didn’t let them stand idly.

Once people arrived, if there weren’t enough seats, they still had to help fetch stools or something, they had to pitch in.

”Alright.” Chu Molin went to help Qin Xue, while Xie Jun went to hold his daughter; this had become a necessary routine. Whenever he returned home, holding the child was a must.

But this habit always made his wife say he was spoiling the child.

How was it spoiling? They had been waiting for this child for so long, and since he wanted her, of course, he would focus on her.

”Chu Molin, I need to talk to you about something. Later, discuss it with Xie Jun and see if there’s a good solution.” Qin Xue felt that sometimes, bothersome matters are best left to the men.

”What is it? Tell me.” Chu Molin looked towards his wife.

”Someone outside has been blocking and robbing the children from the daycare, there’s also bullying...” Qin Xue told Chu Molin about Xu Jia’s situation.

”Xue’er, I’ve realized something too. Do you remember the people we saw on our way here? Initially, I thought I was overthinking, but after hearing what you said, I feel the situation might not be simple, maybe there’s something we don’t know.” Chu Molin understood what was happening.

Listening to his wife’s words, he felt that some things might not be as they appear on the surface.

But how to tackle this still depended on the daycare’s decision.

Chu Molin and Qin Xue talked here; their conversation made both of them feel that something was amiss, hopefully, they were just overthinking.

”Here they are, dinner is ready.” Fang Hong called Yu Xiu and Xu Jia downstairs. Xu Fangzhou and his son were busy with school and meetings, so only the mother and daughter were home, and Fang Hong called them over.

”Everyone sit down, don’t be shy. I didn’t go out to buy groceries, just some homegrown vegetables and a bit of cured meat, hope you won’t mind.” Since Fang Hong had a child, she seldom went out; most of the things at home were brought by her parents and some were bought with help from Xie Jun. So what they had at home was limited.

But among them, it wasn’t bad, so no one would mind, everyone wanted some, let alone dislike it.

”Jiajia, drink some soup before eating.” Fang Hong placed a bowl of vegetable soup in front of Xu Jia, drinking soup warms the stomach and is good for the body.

”Thank you, Aunt Hong.” Xu Jia’s childlike voice was raspy due to illness.

However, children’s voices are naturally crisp; even raspy, it didn’t sound unpleasant.
