Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2720: Chapter 2716: Investigation

”Is what you’re saying true?” After dinner, everyone sat together chatting, and Chu Molin told Xie Jun what Qin Xue had told him.

”Yes, it’s true.” Xu Jia nodded in response, seeing everyone looking at her, though everyone’s expressions were overly serious.

This made her a bit uneasy; had she done something wrong? Why did they have such expressions?

”Then why didn’t you say anything? If something happens, what will your parents do?” Fang Hong was surprised that there was such an issue here. Who was bold enough to do such a thing? Didn’t they know the kids here couldn’t be watched by their parents due to work?

And without their parents, so many projects wouldn’t have been developed.

Fang Hong wasn’t aware before, but now that she knows, she thinks the people here truly need to be taken seriously.

No matter what, nobody wants to see this happen to them.

”Because they won’t let me say, otherwise I’d get beaten and blocked every day.” Xu Jia said fearfully; it wasn’t that she didn’t want to speak, but she was scared.

”Don’t worry, uncle will arrange for someone to take care of it. Just focus on going to school; such things won’t happen again.” Xie Jun thought about assigning someone specifically to escort the kids to school, so no one could extort them.

He hadn’t expected, despite their efforts here, that the kids would face such treatment, which would be disheartening to hear. No way could he let them be saddened.

Xie Jun decided that, starting today, all the kids at the institute will gather together and then be escorted en masse to school by a designated person.

”Thank you, uncle.” Xu Jia felt relieved hearing this, thinking her dad wouldn’t have to specifically take her, sparing him from tiring himself out.

Xu Jia always considered how to make life easier for her parents, never thinking of adding burdens.

Moreover, at this time, she’s more curious whether those bad people would go stop others on another route.

The problem was, they’d never faced such things here before, but recently, numerous people and threats had suddenly appeared, and she’d encountered them several times.

Xu Jia hadn’t told her family about these issues, but she never expected such a thing to happen to her.

She wants to learn martial arts; only by strengthening herself would no one dare to bother her, making bullies think twice. So since returning yesterday, Xu Jia had been pondering this, but hadn’t brought it up seeing Chu Molin and the others there.

Maybe she’d wait and see, as long as her dad has time, she’d ask him to find someone to teach her.

Xu Jia was contemplating her own matters while Qin Xue and the others were discussing theirs, until it was getting late, and Yu Xiu suggested going home.

Fang Hong suggested Qin Xue and the others stay overnight, though Chu Molin initially didn’t want to, thinking about external threats, he agreed.

Then, Qin Xue and Fang Hong talked in a room, while Xie Jun and Chu Molin went outside to scout for news.

As the person in charge here, Xie Jun had heavy responsibilities.

After leaving the institute, they made a gesture and split up, while investigating was up to them. They hadn’t said anything else, just contemplated the best approach.
