Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2499: Chapter 2493: How Did He Change for the Better?

So the two elderly people followed the monk’s advice. It had been a long time since anyone was home, and they really couldn’t not return anymore. They both left the clinic, thinking about it, enough was enough. As the saying goes, ’Every generation has its own fortune.’ They’re old, cannot worry anymore, even lost the last bit of companionship. What else could they hope for?

”Grandpa, Grandma, I’m here to take you home. Let’s go back.” Qin Jing looked at the two elderly people. These past days, he watched them run around because of his big sister’s affairs. His sister was gone now, but they still felt like she was around, so they believed that master’s words and came here. But how could that be? The dead cannot come back to life; there are no such extraordinary things. Yet he couldn’t say anything, because his sister’s situation was too much for the two elders. If he said anything, he feared they wouldn’t be able to take it. So he decided not to speak up, letting them have some hope in their hearts.

He was here simply because he had some free time to see them. His studies weren’t complete yet, and he couldn’t stay with them all the time. He could only visit occasionally, helping with any heavy work. Regarding other matters, he couldn’t do much.

They were unwilling to move in with him or interact much with his parents, so he, as a grandson, had to take their place. But now, he understood what was going on, so he wouldn’t treat the elders as he had before. He would take the place of his big sister to care for them until the end. From now on, they would be under his care.

”Xiao Jing, why are you here?” The old woman looked at him. This grandson had changed a lot in recent days, and she almost couldn’t believe such a transformation.

”I’m here to take you home.” Qin Jing had come by before, so he knew when they could leave. Today, he came for that.

”We’re just about to leave too. Aren’t you supposed to be in class? Why are you here?” The old woman looked at her grandson. All these years, he hadn’t been close to them. Unexpectedly, after losing his sister, he changed. If only he had been like this before, her Qin Xue wouldn’t have suffered all these years.

”I don’t have class today. I guessed you and Grandpa hadn’t left yet, so I came. You haven’t been back for days. I cleaned the house before coming here, so you can settle in right away.” Qin Jing looked at the two elders. The house indeed was lonely. They had initially planned to return to the countryside, but he stopped them, saying his sister had unhappy memories there and wouldn’t want them to return. So they didn’t move back. Otherwise, they would have left and wouldn’t still be staying in the town. Now, they’re going back to town instead.

But they were used to living here. If it weren’t for their granddaughter’s death, they wouldn’t have thought of moving. Now that this grandson, who had just started getting close to them, said something that made them hesitate, they didn’t move after all.

”Study hard. Qin Xue always wanted the best for you, but you never paid her any attention. Now she’s gone, and I hope you can study well and not let her down.” The old man, though not wanting much to do with this grandson, recognized he’s changed a lot and accepted his arrival.

”I understand, Grandpa. Let me help you.” Because the old man had just finished kneeling, he wasn’t walking steadily.

”No need, just help your Grandma. I can walk myself.” The old man declined, supporting his wife instead.
