Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2466: Chapter 2460: Today, Two Months Later

”I will ask for his opinion.” Ye Xuan never intervened in what his father wanted to do; he just hoped his son would always be well. However, regarding Chu Molin’s suggestion, he knew it was for Ye Xuan’s own good, so he didn’t have anything else to say.

As for his hand, he always thought it was just a minor injury, and Ye Xuan also told him it wasn’t severe and would heal soon. But Chu Molin’s meaning was very clear just now, his injury was serious, and if he wasn’t careful, he might lose his hand.

Thinking about this, Ye Xiao felt he should perhaps listen to Chu Molin. After all, if his son’s life was at stake, nothing else mattered. Moreover, at this time, Qing Zhu had married into their family, and there was also the tender granddaughter, Yuran. Ye Xiao felt softened and thought he indeed needed to talk to Ye Xuan to see what his stance was.

The action-oriented Ye Xiao wouldn’t let his son think too long about it. Why do I say that? Because Ye Xiao, using his marriage to Qing Zhu as a reason, directly made him decide. Qing Zhu, being a person of the new era, of course understood what was going on. So when Ye Xuan asked her, she straightforwardly told him to make his own decision; it had nothing to do with her.

Upon hearing this, Ye Xuan was unsettled, thinking that Qing Zhu didn’t want him to continue working at the research institute. So he told Ye Xiao that he resigned as well.

However, Ye Xiao did not approve him but transferred him to an administrative position. He didn’t care if their family had a granddaughter or grandson, so of course, he wasn’t going to let his son resign.

If he had another job, quitting would be fine, but if he quit now, he wouldn’t have any work afterward. How would he support Qing Zhu and her daughter then? So, as the head of the family and leader, Ye Xiao directly appointed him to fill a vacancy.

Back to the present, Chu Molin looked at Ye Xiao, hoping he would consider his suggestion, as Ye Xuan, his eldest son, had the duty to support the family.

”Alright, I will seriously consider your suggestion. But are you really not going to reconsider things here?” Ye Xiao still didn’t want to let people go.

”You know there’s no room for negotiation here. It’s not that I don’t want this job, but I can’t manage both. I’m the one in the most difficult position, and I also don’t know what to say. You understand the policy better than I do, no one can break it.” Chu Molin really didn’t know how to explain better. His future was bright, but it was like choosing between fish and bear’s paw. So Chu Molin’s choice wasn’t wrong.

Because no one could treat human life as worthless or a joke. So while Ye Xiao felt a pang of regret over Chu Molin’s choice, he couldn’t say he was wrong. He could only respect Chu Molin’s choice. As for other matters, Ye Xiao thought everyone should support and help each other in the future. Having come to this realization, Ye Xiao no longer agonized over this issue.

”When is the date set?” Chu Molin asked casually.

”Two months from today.” Ye Xiao knew what Chu Molin was asking, and before he finished speaking, he answered him.

”Alright, I will bring my wife and children to send them blessings then.” Chu Molin nodded. He planned to wait a few days until Ye Xuan’s condition improved before returning home, then the family could be together.

The things Chu Molin was considering didn’t conflict with his conscience. Some things didn’t have to be done in a specific position to contribute. As long as his heart was with the country, he could do anything and contribute in any way, whether through business and donations, or public welfare work. There were always other paths as long as you knew how to act and choose.

Therefore, Chu Molin didn’t feel any regret for not having this job. It was enough that he knew what he wanted.
