Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2454: Chapter 2448: Silly Daddy

”Alright, your brother is fine. Your sister-in-law said you’ve been taking care of Yuran these days. Thank you for your hard work.” Ye Xuan released his younger brother. This kid had grown as tall as him. Time really flew by, and of course, the little one who used to cry behind him was now this big.

”Sister-in-law left in a hurry and handed me the child. Whether I could or not, I had to take care of her. After all, she’s our little princess.” Ye Li’s eyes were red, and hearing his brother’s words, he felt embarrassed and didn’t dare to look at others, feeling particularly awkward.

”Alright, now that everyone’s here, let’s eat. Yuran, come to mommy for a hug. Did you miss mommy, hmm, my dear?” Qing Zhu, bringing the food to the table, called out to them and picked up her daughter, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

”Second Sister-in-law, thank you for bringing Second Brother back.” Fang Li saw Qing Zhu and immediately called her Second Sister-in-law. His brother just mentioned sister-in-law earlier, so there was nothing wrong with calling her that ahead of time.

”Uh, I...” Qing Zhu was stunned. Since when had she become his Second Sister-in-law? She hadn’t even married Ye Xuan yet.

”You don’t need to explain. You are the one. Now go eat. Yuran, do you still recognize daddy?” Ye Xuan wanted to hug his daughter but seeing his hand, he could only extend the good one to pat her head and smiled at Qing Yuran.

”Giggling.” Qing Yuran looked at her father and was just happy that he wasn’t dead. This was a man who loved her dearly. How could she not remember him? But, she couldn’t speak, feeling very sad.

”Seems like Yuran remembers. Come, let’s go eat with daddy.” Ye Xuan couldn’t resist. His daughter was too adorable, so he reached out with his good hand to hold her.

”If you’re injured, stay still. Stop moving around. Do you want to lose that hand?” Qing Zhu didn’t let Ye Xuan hold their daughter. The child was small, and if she accidentally kicked him, his hand could get injured again. It’s better to play it safe. The child wasn’t going anywhere, and she didn’t see why he needed to be so nervous.

”She won’t. She’s a good child. I haven’t held her for so long, let me hold her for a bit.” Ye Xuan looked at his daughter. He could hold back from hugging her before, but now, looking into her clear eyes, his heart melted completely.

”Suit yourself.” Qing Zhu really wanted to kick him. She was just concerned for his wellbeing. Did he actually think she didn’t want to let him and their daughter bond?

To avoid touching Ye Xuan’s hand during the struggle, Qing Zhu could only carefully place the child in the crook of his arm, ensuring he wouldn’t accidentally hit the hand hanging on his chest. She really didn’t understand why he insisted on holding the child like this.

”Why doesn’t Yuran want daddy to hold her?” Ye Xuan watched his daughter. She just snuggled into his neck for a second and then moved back to Qing Zhu’s arms. What was that move?

”Yuran, let’s go. Don’t bother with your silly daddy.” Just as Qing Zhu was about to let go, who would have thought her daughter would reach out to hug her neck and return to her arms.

And her father was still frozen there, trying to hold her. Even such a young child knew that her father couldn’t hold her now. She probably feared falling down.

Even a little one knew fear, while someone like Ye Xuan, a grown man, supposedly did not? She couldn’t understand what he was thinking. Wouldn’t it be the same to hold her when he recovered?

But seeing her daughter didn’t want him to hold her now, she couldn’t bother with him either, so she carried her daughter to eat first, leaving Ye Xuan standing there, watching the others walk away. Helpless, he could only lift his feet and follow.
