Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2500: Chapter 2494: Why Has So Much Changed

”Please take it slow.” Qin Jing did not insist on helping the grandfather; the grandmother was also kneeling beside him. It was the same whether he supported one or the other. He thought for a moment and walked to the middle, holding one person with each hand, slowly moving forward.

”Why have you changed so much?” The old man looked at his grandson and couldn’t help but ask. After all, a person doesn’t change so much in a short time without a reason.

”Big sister is right. We are a family, bound by blood. If I don’t treat you well, then who will? For the sake of our family, I will treat you kindly. Don’t worry, I won’t be as ignorant as I was before.” Qin Jing reassured the two elderly, reflecting on how many warm moments he may have missed due to his past ignorance. Understanding these things now is truly not easy.

”To exchange Qin Xue’s passing for your understanding is a truly steep price.” The old man spoke mournfully.

”Grandpa, big sister wouldn’t want to see you like this from the other side. You and grandma must take care of yourselves; only then will she be at peace, right? Don’t think about these things anymore. You have to believe that big sister will be happy, that her future will be as she wished. So don’t dwell on it. With me here, I will take good care of you, and thus, big sister will also be at ease.” Qin Jing wasn’t quite sure how best to comfort the elders, but this was genuinely how he felt.

”Alright, we’ve done what we can. I believe she will be fine.” The old man realized there’s not much more he could do, leaving everything to fate. They had come because of what the monk said. They weren’t certain if any of this was valid. Whatever happened to her, they could only hope.

”Things will be better, trust me.” Qin Jing nodded in agreement. After all, now that big sister was gone, how good could it get? He was merely offering words of comfort to the elders.

Qin Xue floated in mid-air, watching this scene. She wanted to speak, but couldn’t find the words. How could she tell her grandpa and grandma how much she missed them? As they walked further away, Qin Xue became anxious; she wanted to speak but couldn’t break free from the chains binding her, only seeing them disappear in front of her.

”You can’t stop them. They’ve done so much for you. Only by living well and seeking kindness can you repay their kindness. Go now; your new life isn’t here. You belong elsewhere. You are now people of different worlds, each with your own destiny.” A distant voice reached Qin Xue’s ears, and she saw a light emerge, carrying her away from that place.

”No!” Qin Xue shouted, suddenly turning over, and with a loud splash, she fell into the water.

”Cough cough,” Qin Xue splashed several times in the water before she managed to stand up.

Opening her eyes, she found herself not in the temple’s main hall but in a void space. What was happening here? Was it a dream or her soul actually departing? How could she see her grandpa and grandma? She has been here for two years now, but why do they say it’s been forty-nine days? Could this really be different time dimensions? Do their words and deeds truly aim to make her life better while she yearns for them? Why couldn’t she just tell them she’s well and not to worry? She felt so unfilial for failing even in this small request.

Qin Xue looked around at everything here, and despite the circumstances, there was nothing more she could do. She pondered how she could let grandpa and grandma know she was doing well, truly well?
