Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2473: Chapter 2467: Let Him Be

”Qin Lei, why are you here? Shouldn’t you be at home making dinner at this time?” Qin Chaoyang came home early today and was surprised to see his brother at his place. They’re all busy and usually don’t have time to sit and chat because once they get home, they have to prepare materials for the next day’s stall. So, they are quite busy.

That’s why Qin Chaoyang was so surprised to see his brother at his place; after all, his brother is busier than they are.

”I’m here to let you know that you should come over later for dinner. Don’t bother cooking. It’s been a while since we brothers have had a meal and a chat with Mom and Dad.” Qin Lei explained his purpose for coming.

”Alright, got it. Cuiping, Qin Lei said we should go to his place for dinner, so don’t cook. Go over and help your sister-in-law.” Qin Chaoyang knew his brother and his family would be leaving, so when invited over to eat, they didn’t refuse at all.

”Okay, got it. Be right there.” Lin Cuiping, who was washing a pot, paused for a moment, then put down the pot, wiped her hands, and went straight out of the kitchen. If she was a minute later, her rice would’ve been in the pot already.

”Sister-in-law, Shulan is already cooking at home. Just go over and eat, no need to cook. I don’t have to go help either. You all continue with your work, and I’ll head over later. Just let Mom and Dad know later, I’m heading back now.” Qin Lei saw his brother busy preparing materials for tomorrow and didn’t ask his sister-in-law to help. It felt a bit awkward to him since they were so busy, and they’re cooking for just a few people, so they didn’t need sister-in-law’s help. It’s better for him to go back and help his wife instead.

”How could I not go help Shulan? It feels awkward for the whole family to eat at someone else’s place and not help at all. Let’s not do that.” Lin Cuiping felt a bit embarrassed.

”No need, focus on your work. I’ll handle it. When it’s mealtime, just come over with Mom and Dad. That’s settled. I’m off now.” Qin Lei thought if he stayed to help his big brother, it would be of no use since he’s not accustomed to it and doesn’t know how to do the work here. So, it would be faster for the couple to work together.

”Gosh...” Lin Cuiping watched Qin Lei leave in a hurry, wondering if he was being chased by wolves or something.

”Let him be; you know how he is. He doesn’t overthink things,” Qin Chaoyang said to his wife. He knew his brother well. If he were that petty, they wouldn’t have taught him how to do business. Unexpectedly, doing business turned out to be much better than working odd jobs.

Working odd jobs didn’t earn them much money, and wages were often delayed. The whole family frequently didn’t have enough to eat or wear, but after they started doing business, their family had surplus money, which truly delighted them. If the siblings said they wanted to advance their education by attending night school, the family could even find them suitable marriage prospects.

As the family situation improved, they started to see things clearer. Just like they said, once they finished their studies and started working, with money and education, why should they worry that no one would want them? Perhaps they’ve also come to terms with it. Life has been smoother, and their business is getting better. The couple agreed that whatever their children decided, they’d focus on the business and save money. So when their children finished school and wanted to get married, they could afford to throw a wedding. They’d also have money for the bride price, so there was nothing to worry about anymore.
