All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 108 Village-Level Mysteries”Do not profane the [Moon Goddess]!”

A tender voice suddenly rang out. The Elemental Naga looked toward the sound and saw a little Rabbit Person girl glaring at her huffily, her two large ears standing straight up in anger.

”Danger! Come back quickly!”

The door of a nearby house was half-open, and an elderly Old Rabbit Person leaned out, calling out to the little girl in a panic; she must have run out from there.

”Night... is coming!”

Before the Old Rabbit Person could finish speaking, a dense darkness surged from the horizon like a tide, rapidly swallowing all the light in the village!

Although she didn’t understand why, the Elemental Naga’s combat instincts immediately told her something was wrong.

With a flick of her snake tail, she instantly rushed forward, scooped up the little Rabbit Person girl, and dashed toward the half-open door at her top speed.

Just a moment before the endless darkness completely enveloped the village, the Elemental Naga narrowly burst into the house with the little girl and slammed the heavy wooden door shut with a ”bang.”

Inside, the Old Rabbit Person was holding up an ancient bronze mirror. Its surface emitted a soft, warm glow, struggling to dispel the darkness that was trying to seep into the room.

”You are the only light in the darkness; You are the only hope in fear! Moon Goddess, please protect Your devout believers!”

The two Rabbit People prayed skillfully and urgently.

The Old Rabbit Person cast an anxious glance at the Elemental Naga, desperately signaling her with his eyes to join in the prayer.

”Hmph!”

The Elemental Naga was a fanatic follower of the Feathered Serpent God Kukulkan; how could she possibly recite the prayers of another deity?

A flash of ruthlessness crossed the Old Rabbit Person’s eyes. ”If you want to die, don’t drag us down with you! I’ll send you out as a sacrifice right now to appease the thing outside!”

He lunged forward with a sudden kick off the ground, a rusty hoe appearing in his hand from nowhere as he swung it fiercely at the Elemental Naga’s head!

The Elemental Naga only gave him a cold glance. Her long, powerful snake tail lashed out casually, striking first despite moving second. It hit the Old Rabbit Person precisely, sending him flying to crash heavily against the wall.

However, the commotion inside seemed to have attracted the attention of certain existences in the darkness.

”La la la~”

An ethereal, eerie, yet exceptionally beautiful song drifted closer from afar, sounding as if it were echoing directly within their Souls.

The two Rabbit People inside instantly turned pale with fear, trembling uncontrollably.

The singing stopped abruptly at the door.

At the same time, the light from the bronze mirror dimmed sharply, as if blocked by an invisible hand.

When the light brightened again, a ”person” had appeared out of thin air in the middle of the room!

It was made entirely of polished white porcelain, with an exquisitely beautiful face, yet it had no pupils—only blank white spaces. Fine cracks were visible at its joints.

It tilted its head, ”looking” at the terrified Rabbit Person girl with its pupil-less eyes and asked expectantly, ”Does my singing sound good?”

The Rabbit Person girl shook all over, her teeth chattering so hard she could barely speak. Finally, she squeezed out a faint voice: ”It... it sounds good...”

Its mouth suddenly split wide to the sides, forming a terrifying grin. ”Then... come and join my Troupe!”

Crack, crack... a spine-chilling sound rang out!

The Rabbit Person girl’s body rapidly shrank and hardened, her skin taking on the texture of porcelain. She eventually turned into a palm-sized porcelain doll, her face frozen in a moment of terror, and rolled onto the floor.

The Bone Marionette picked it up with satisfaction and continued to hum that eerie tune: ”La la la~”

”It’s over... it’s all over!”

The Old Rabbit Person curled up in the corner in despair, muttering to himself, ”It’s the village-level abomination [Bone Marionette]... As long as you hear its song, whether you answer it’s good or bad, you are doomed to die!”

The Bone Marionette’s blank gaze turned toward the composed Elemental Naga in the center of the room, and it asked again, ”Does my singing sound good?”

A look of blatant disdain appeared on the Elemental Naga’s face. She said coldly, ”It sounds terrible, like broken tiles rubbing together.”

Before the Bone Marionette could react, the Elemental Naga softly began to sing. An ethereal and melodious song flowed through the room—her [Singer] class Rank had already reached Lv. 5!

This truly heavenly sound seemed to sting the Bone Marionette. Flushed with anger and shame, it let out a piercing shriek: ”Since you say it sounds bad... then give me your throat!!”

It lunged fiercely at the Elemental Naga.

”A mere Lv. 3 dares to provoke me?” A cold light flashed in the Elemental Naga’s eyes as her hands quickly formed a seal!

A warm white light of purification instantly filled the room. The light condensed into a solid, holy spear, violently impaling the lunging Bone Marionette and pinning it firmly to the ground!

”Aaaaah—!”

The Bone Marionette let out a shrill, agonizing scream, its porcelain body struggling violently.

But the absolute gap in strength was insurmountable. Under the continuous purification of the white light, it completely dissipated after a short while, leaving behind only a wisp of fading black smoke.

However, at the very moment the Bone Marionette completely vanished, an imperceptible black mark, like a curse, was quietly branded onto the back of the Elemental Naga’s hand.
