All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 159 From God’s Believers”A relief house?”

The old butler looked at the Young Master before him with a face full of confusion. Why did this blind Young Master, who had grown up in the castle and couldn’t even take care of himself, suddenly think of this?

Mobi Us held a pot of sunflowers, his expression somewhat somber. ”Yes. They are just a bit pitiful... people like me.”

The old butler looked at him, his heart aching.

He had watched this Young Master grow up since childhood. At birth, it was predicted he wouldn’t live past three; having survived past three, it was predicted he wouldn’t live past ten; and having survived past ten, he was judged to be nothing but a burden for the rest of his life.

”Alright, alright,” the old butler agreed repeatedly. ”It’s just distributing some black bread every day; Young Master needn’t worry.”

Mobi Us looked up, revealing a brilliant smile.

Then, leaning on his cane, he slowly walked out of the castle.

The sunlight fell on his face, warm and cozy. He held the pot of sunflowers to his chest, whispering as he walked. His voice was kept very low, so low that only he could hear—or rather, so low that only the potted flower could hear.

”My God, according to your requirements, those who come to receive bread must recite your divine name.”

In his vision, only this pot of sunflowers was a unique golden color.

Without tapping the ground or relying on sound wave reflections, he could ”see” it. That cluster of golden light floated quietly in his darkness, like a lighthouse.

”After observation, I will select some promising candidates and provide them with the [The Blind] potion.”

The wind blew past.

The sunflowers swayed gently, as if nodding.

...

Today, Zhou Zheng wanted him to inspect the territory.

Mobi Us leaned on his cane, slowly walking along the familiar path. He had tapped every inch of this road with his cane countless times and already knew it by heart. He remembered clearly where there was a pit and where there was a ridge.

When he reached the center of the territory, he stopped.

He took a deep breath and then struck his cane forcefully against the ground—

Thump!

Sound waves radiated outward, hitting distant trees, undulating hills, and the river that separated the territory from the outside world. The reflected sound waves intertwined in his consciousness, sketching a massive picture.

For the first time, he finally ”saw” his own territory.

This was a piece of abandoned land.

To the east were mountains, not high, but rolling and continuous, covered in wild grass and thorns.

To the west was a river, not wide, but the current was swift, separating this land from the fertile farmland on the opposite bank.

To the south was the direction he came from, where that dusty gray castle stood solitary.

To the north was a wilderness, and further north was the Eldest Young Master’s territory—that was a truly fertile land, with rolling waves of wheat and bursting with vitality.

But the land beneath his feet was entirely wild grass.

Dry, knee-high, endless wild grass.

This was the inheritance his father had left him. A large expanse of wasteland, a dilapidated castle, and dozens of households of farmers who might flee at any moment.

Mobi Us remained silent for a long time.

Behind him, from within the pot of sunflowers, Zhou Zheng quietly mobilized the Law on his believer.

All-Knowing Eye.

This ability should have been suppressed in the God-Forsaken Land, but using the believer as a medium, it could actually be barely activated.

Although he could only see a black background and white lines—such was Mobi Us’s vision—the power of the All-Knowing Eye went beyond this.

The sound waves emitted by the The Blind counted as a form of touch; under the x-ray vision of the All-Knowing Eye, any divine authority fragments within range had nowhere to hide.

Unfortunately, there were no divine authority fragments on this land.

Zhou Zheng was not discouraged. This was only the beginning.

”You are acting the part of the [The Blind] very well,” the deity’s voice rang out directly in Mobi Us’s mind. ”I can feel that the sequence 9 potion is almost completely digested.”

Mobi Us was stunned for a moment.

”By the time you reach Sequence 8, you will be able to regain your sight.”

The young believer’s entire body trembled. He wanted to say something, his lips quivered a few times, but nothing came out.

In the end, he just nodded vigorously and held the pot of sunflowers a little tighter.

To carry external Laws, a believer needs to help their body adapt through acting.

By playing the role corresponding to the Sequence and performing actions that align with the Law—for Mobi Us, being a The Blind was simply being himself, so the digestion speed was exceptionally fast.

Once the Law is fully integrated into the body, one can carry the next Sequence.

”Next, what do you plan to do?”

Mobi Us was somewhat at a loss.

No one had ever asked him this question before.

From the moment he was born, everyone’s expectation of him was simply—stay alive. Staying alive, not causing trouble, and not bringing shame to the Family was enough.

As for what he wanted to do or what he desired, no one had ever cared.

He thought for a moment, lowered his head, and looked at the wasteland outlined by the sound waves beneath his feet.

”This is the land my father left me,” he said, his voice a bit raspy. ”I don’t want to let it go to waste.”

He stepped forward, squatted down, and grabbed a handful of soil. The soil was very dry and hard, filled with the root systems of wild grass. But this land was his. it was the only thing he possessed.

”I want to make good use of it.”

”I can help you.”

A crisp female voice suddenly rang out.

Mobi Us turned his head sharply.

A girl wearing deerskin boots and carrying a small back-basket walked out from the woods at the edge of the territory.

She wasn’t very old, looking a few years younger than him, with a hint of childishness still on her face. But her gait was steady, and her eyes were bright, not at all like a girl of her age.

She walked straight toward him.

To be precise, she walked toward the pot of sunflowers in his hands.

Then she knelt on one knee, her head bowed low, her tone devout and calm:

”Luna, pays respects to the Chief God.”
