All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 174 Battle ManiacThe Light Network almost covered the entire God-Forsaken Land.

The map updated every day, with green, red, and yellow dots waxing and waning.

Lone red dots were the most popular prey—the Alliance of Good had opened up ”hunting rights” internally, allowing any deity to go hunting for these isolated and helpless members of the Evil Faction, either solo or in teams.

However, the Alliance would not provide any safety net for these operations.

Life and death were in the hands of fate; success or failure was up to the heavens.

Zhou Zheng had become the most active hunter in this network.

Other deities picked their opponents based on whether their divine offices were related, whether the opponent’s believers were profitable, and whether they could reap benefits after the fight.

Zhou Zheng was not picky. As long as they were alone, he would take the job.

”Who’s going after the one with the [Greed] divine office?”

”I’ll go,” Zhou Zheng said.

”The one with the [Fear] divine office is hiding on the northern island.”

”I’ll go,” Zhou Zheng said.

”The one with the [Pain] divine office has a group of madman believers with him.”

”I’ll go,” Zhou Zheng said.

He ran faster than anyone else and accepted jobs more diligently than anyone else. Moreover, he had a trait that made everyone willing to bring him along—

He conceded profits.

He only took divine authority fragments related to himself.

Apart from that, he only needed them to give him divine order tokens—to others, that stuff was just scrap metal, and in any case, having one was enough.

After a while, the deities in the Alliance of Good loved to call on him whenever they launched a divine war.

Capable in battle and didn’t loot—where else could they find such a good teammate?

The God of War joked privately with others, ”If the divine order tokens didn’t notarize his divine office direction, I would have thought he was coming to steal my War divine office!”

...

While Zhou Zheng’s overt divine wars were lively, his covert actions never stopped.

Beneath the sea surface, another force was silently expanding.

That light blue little fish, once chirping and demanding food all day, was now a sequence 6 [Predator].

sequence 9 [Bait], using Spirituality to attract Demonic Beasts.

Sequence 8 [Glutton], restoring Spirituality through eating.

Sequence 7 [Prey], stimulating potential while being hunted.

Sequence 6 [Predator], actively hunting and devouring to evolve.

Its subordinates were a group of sea Demonic Beasts that had also consumed potions. Some were still sequence 9, while others had advanced to sequence 8.

The believers of other deities were all Human Race, so in the unnoticed depths of the sea, it was entirely Zhou Zheng’s domain! One had to know that over ninety percent of this Plane was ocean!

The gold and silver treasures in shipwrecks, the ancient curiosities resting on the seabed, and the treasures scattered everywhere—all were salvaged by the sea Demonic Beasts and sent to the Us Territory to be exchanged for gold coins and supplies.

The Evolution Church was expanding rapidly under the abundance of resources!

The sea Demonic Beasts had another important task.

Searching for divine authority fragments.

As his power constantly recovered, Zhou Zheng was already able to use the All-Knowing Eye through his believers!

Wherever those sea Demonic Beasts swam, if there was even a trace of unusual fluctuation, they could sense it. Then they would swim over, salvage the object, and bring it to Zhou Zheng.

One, two, three...

Those fragments were collected by Zhou Zheng, mixed in with the fragments he had obtained from divine wars, and traded with other deities for the Laws he needed.

With believers providing faith, the biological evolution of the entire Plane providing World Origin Power, and divine authority fragments... the Authority of Evolution was being completed by leaps and bounds.

And in the eyes of the outside world, it was disguised as two divine offices—[Metamorphosis] and [Ascension].

...

The Alliance of Good looked prosperous.

Green dots were increasing, and red dots were decreasing. Those evil deities being hunted had either died, gone into hiding, or simply quit the game.

The fence-sitters of the neutral faction began to sway; some had already quietly sent people to contact the Alliance of Good to test the conditions for defecting.

Everything was developing in a good direction.

But Zhou Zheng felt something was wrong.

It was too quiet in the sea.

Those red dots that used to scurry everywhere were becoming fewer and fewer lately, but it wasn’t because they were being hunted, but rather... they had disappeared. They had hidden themselves. Hidden so deep that even the Light Network couldn’t scan them.

Zhou Zheng smelled something unusual, so he made a decision.

”I’ve been fighting continuously lately, and both I and my believers need to rest,” he said in the Alliance of Good channel. ”I won’t be participating in the upcoming operations for now.”

The God of War teased him, ”What’s wrong, had enough looting?”

Zhou Zheng smiled without explaining.

He recalled all his believers to the Us Territory. Leon’s knights returned to the castle, Serena’s merchant fleet docked at the port, and the Gluttonous One took its sea Demonic Beasts to lurk in the deep sea. Everyone entered a state of alert.

Just on the third day after Zhou Zheng began his rest, the deities of the other factions launched a fierce counterattack!

The territories of those deities of good who were still out fighting were attacked at the same time. The attack came fast and hard, premeditated.

Some came from the sea, a massive fleet with black sails. Some attacked from land, cavalry surging like a tidal wave. Others didn’t even know where the enemy came from, only knowing that overnight, most of their believers had died.

And the main forces of those deities were all out fighting. Only the elderly, weak, women, and children, along with a small number of garrison soldiers, remained in their territories.

They couldn’t hold them off.

They simply couldn’t hold them off.

When the news reached the Light Network, everyone was stunned.

Twenty-three deities of good fell on the spot. This even included several powerful deities!

There were over a dozen more who, while they didn’t die, had most of their believers killed or injured, their territories fallen, and suffered severe damage to their Origin Qi.
