Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

43: Chapter 43 Seeing Through Kang Lei’s PlanThe recruits were startled awake one by one, looking dazed.

Many recruits even bolted upright from their beds, looking panicked. ”What’s going on?”

”I don’t know!” He Chenguang said, speechless.

Su Guodong let out a cold laugh. As a veteran, he knew exactly what this meant—the exercise had begun.

Su Guodong’s gaze fell on Yang Han, noting his exceptionally calm expression.

He couldn’t help but feel a bit surprised; while He Chenguang and Wang Yanbing were also relatively calm, there was still a hint of nervousness in their eyes.

After all, they had never participated in a combat exercise before.

Su Guodong thought to himself, ”His mindset is top-tier too...”

Yang Han quickly geared up and rushed out of the dormitory. He Chenguang and the others also hurriedly dressed and swarmed onto the drill ground.

On the drill ground, many veterans were jogging over in scattered groups. Everyone noticed that the other companies had already finished assembling and were even on the march.

”What the hell are you guys doing!”

Gong Jian scolded, ”You’re a bunch of old-timers, yet you don’t even have this much reaction Speed? The other five companies have already assembled, while you’re here dilly-dallying and wasting time.”

”You’re not even as fast as a recruit!”

It was Yang Han; he was the fastest, the first to gear up, not even stopping to brush his teeth or wash his face!

When war comes, is there time to wash up? Obviously not!

In war, one might go a month or two without bathing, smelling so bad they’d attract maggots, but that’s something that must be overcome.

”Get into formation!” Gong Jian barked.

*Clatter, clatter, clatter.*

After a flurry of footsteps, the Fourth Company’s ranks were soon in order.

Gong Jian took a deep breath, his gaze cold as he scanned the face of every soldier in the Fourth Company. He said, ”Today’s battle is extremely important for our Fourth Company and our Iron Fist Regiment.”

”In the past few battles, we’ve lost to the Wolf Fang Special Operations Brigade.”

”If we lose this time, it will be our fifth consecutive defeat. The higher-ups will surely punish us, and the Iron Fist Regiment might undergo major restructuring. I don’t want to see that happen because we’ve been together for so long and have developed deep bonds of brotherhood.”

Gong Jian said in a heavy voice.

The expressions of many veterans flickered. To them, the Wolf Fang Special Operations Brigade was a name of ill repute—truly terrifying.

After four consecutive losses, it wasn’t just the Sharpshooter Fourth Company; the other companies felt the same about Wolf Fang—fear, a deep-seated dread that lingered in their bones.

Gong Jian’s eyes darkened. He saw it—the hint of fear in the eyes of these Fourth Company veterans.

Sighing inwardly, Gong Jian roared again, ”This time, we must win! There is no retreat! The high command of the Iron Fist Regiment has devised a meticulous plan. Wolf Fang will surely be defeated in this battle!”

”All we have to do is carry out every order from above to the letter and to the best of our ability. Don’t think about anything else!”

”Do you understand?”

”Understood!”

”Louder! Are you guys freaking sissies?”

”UN-DER-STOOD!!”

Gong Jian nodded in satisfaction, having finally ignited the passion of these Fourth Company veterans. Then he spoke, ”Now, everyone move out! To the front lines!”

The main force of the Iron Fist Regiment was on the march, heading immediately to the battlefield to face Wolf Fang.

However, on an obscure and hard-to-find jungle path, two trucks were driving along.

Sitting in the second military truck was the commander of the Iron Fist Regiment, Kang Lei, also known as Master Kang.

These two vehicles carried two-thirds of the command staff.

Kang Lei was confident of victory. The route he chose was extremely well-hidden; he didn’t think Wolf Fang would guess he was here.

A smile appeared on Kang Lei’s lips as he said, ”We’ll be at the front in twenty minutes. Once I arrive, I’ll personally command the entire army to launch the attack!”

The staff officers beside him all nodded.

Meanwhile, on a mountain peak.

Old Gao had been waiting here for a long time with Lone Wolf Group A.

Seeing a military truck finally appear, a smile played on Old Gao’s lips.

”Kang Lei, you’ve certainly gotten smarter, knowing how to feign an advance while taking a secret route. Unfortunately, did you think we in Wolf Fang were fools?”

”Wolf Fang is a special operations brigade because our military minds are extraordinary. Anything you can think of, we can think of too.”

”This trick won’t fool me.”

Old Gao laughed heartily.

Behind him, Earth Wolf, Gray Wolf, and the others offered their compliments. This was Old Gao’s achievement; he had guessed that Kang Lei might split his forces into several routes, and he had been proven right.

”Let’s go. Follow them, find a suitable spot, and take them out,” Old Gao ordered.

Within another large unit of the Iron Fist Regiment.

Yang Han was among them.

He was thinking about which skill to upgrade next. He wasn’t lacking in Physical Fitness, Speed, or Strength, and his Sniper Rifle and Rifle Abilities were already quite high.

”Oh... right, this one!”

Yang Han’s eyes lit up as he saw a very practical skill.

Infrared Sensing Skill!

He clicked on the skill description: ”Infrared Sensing: Level 1 grants information on all biological entities within a 100-meter range. Each level adds +100 meters to the range.”

After reading the description, Yang Han broke into a grin.

This function was incredibly broken, equivalent to a full-map wallhack. It was very, very powerful.

”System, upgrade Infrared Sensing to level 5!” Yang Han said silently.

”Ding! Spent 1,000 emotion points to upgrade Infrared Sensing to level 5. Current remaining emotion points: 1,200!”

In the next instant, Yang Han’s eyes suddenly turned blood-red, as if he had contracted pink eye, but they quickly returned to normal.

Yang Han was ecstatic. With a thought, everything within a five-hundred-meter radius was now within his infrared scan.

This skill was simply too powerful.

Yang Han was very happy.

Five hundred meters—what did that mean? He could see any living thing within five hundred meters. Even ants and small bugs were perceived by Yang Han. If anyone tried to ambush or sneak up on him, they would have nowhere to hide.

Yang Han was suddenly in high spirits.

Suddenly.

Within Yang Han’s 500-meter range, many living things appeared.

And these living things were clearly people!

Yang Han’s gaze turned cold. An ambush?!

Just then, two Drones appeared in the sky.

The rising and falling buzzing sound caught everyone’s attention.

”Huh? What’s that? Drones.”

”Damn, such high-tech stuff. Our Iron Fist Regiment doesn’t even use them. I heard one costs hundreds of thousands.”

Many people exclaimed.

In a hidden part of the jungle.

Over thirty Blue Army soldiers were hidden there, cold smiles playing on their lips.

The appearance of the Drones was merely to distract them.

Next, it would be their turn to make a move.
