Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

10: Chapter 10 400-meter Steeplechase”That’s right, Squad Leader, let us see how good you are!”

”Squad Leader, run one!”

Some of the new recruits were egging him on.

Old Hei immediately let out a cold snort. After these days of interaction, the new recruits were gradually becoming less afraid of him.

Although Old Hei was strict, he wasn’t actually bad at heart, nor was he unreasonable.

Old Hei looked at Yang Han and said, ”You brat, you love egging people on! What, do you want to compete with me?”

Yang Han chuckled and said, ”Squad Leader, if you want to compete with me, then I definitely can’t refuse!”

”Enough!”

Old Hei scoffed, a look of pride appearing on his face, ”Using reverse psychology on me, are you? Fine, I’ll compete with you in this 400-meter obstacle course, and let you know that the reason I could become your Squad Leader is not just for show!”

”But Squad Leader, if either of us loses, we should have a wager, right?” Yang Han chuckled.

Old Hei’s face darkened, realizing that this was Yang Han’s intention all along. ”You brat, I knew you were up to no good! But it doesn’t matter, I’m certain you can’t beat me today! I’ll state my terms first: if you lose, your rest day this week is cancelled! Now tell me your terms!”

Hearing that their rest day would be cancelled, many people immediately wailed. Some even told Yang Han not to compete anymore, but Yang Han just smiled.

He said, ”My terms are also very simple: just let us have half a day off this afternoon!”

”Fine!” Old Hei snorted coldly.

”You go first.”

Once those words were spoken, many new recruits twitched their mouths. It was over. Letting Yang Han compete against Old Hei, how could he possibly win?

Who was Old Hei? A veteran with very strong training results. Could Yang Han possibly beat him?

Many new recruits sighed inwardly, knowing that their rest day for this week was definitely gone.

Old Hei looked at Yang Han with a calm expression. Back when he was in the military, he had outshone many others and was the person with the best results in the New Recruit Company.

Old Hei still remembered his 400-meter obstacle course record: 1:28!

This was his record, which was already quite good, not many seconds away from the army-wide record. Although Old Hei hadn’t trained much in recent years, his foundation was still there. Wouldn’t it be a very simple matter to beat a new recruit in a 400-meter obstacle course?

It wasn’t hard at all!

Yang Han smiled and then went to the starting point.

”System, help me upgrade my Cross-country Ability to Level 3!”

Yang Han said inwardly.

This 400-meter obstacle course highly tested one’s practical Cross-country Ability, so by improving his Cross-country Ability, Yang Han would be invincible in terms of cross-country running.

”Ding! Upgrade successful, consumed 300 emotion points! Current remaining emotion points: 830!”

After the voice came, Yang Han’s body underwent even more changes. He looked at the 400-meter obstacle course track with burning eyes.

To the side was Old Hei’s calm expression. He wanted to see what kind of results Yang Han could run. Yang Han had also performed the 400-meter obstacle course these past few days, and his results were very average, just around two minutes. Old Hei was very confident he could beat him.

At the same time, many new recruits were egging him on.

”Go for it!”

”Brother Han, show Squad Leader Old Hei some real skills!”

”Brother Han, our rest this afternoon depends on you.”

The new recruits’ egging on made Yang Han grin. He knew that these new recruits actually didn’t trust him much.

After all, in the 400-meter obstacle course training, Yang Han hadn’t reached first place; he was only in the middle of the pack.

Although Yang Han’s Physical Fitness surpassed everyone, the 400-meter obstacle course tested Cross-country Ability and physical coordination, so Yang Han’s results hadn’t been high.

But now it was different!

Yang Han’s Cross-country Ability had also been upgraded to Level 3. Surpassing these new recruits, and even surpassing Old Hei, wouldn’t be difficult!

”Then let’s start.”

Yang Han took a deep breath and charged directly toward the first obstacle of the 400-meter course.

The 400-meter obstacle course consisted of seven items, the first of which was the stepping piles.

Whoosh!

Yang Han was like a flying man, crossing over directly, clean and neat, without any hesitation, and he actually passed it perfectly.

The second item was the trench.

After jumping in, Yang Han applied a slight force with his hands, flew out as light as a swallow, and immediately continued running forward.

He arrived at the third item.

Low wall, high platform jump, balance beam, high wall...

One item after another, his Speed was incredibly fast, leaving the new recruits on the sidelines dumbfounded.

”No way, is his Speed that fast?”

”Holy crap, Brother Han is like Superman!”

”This guy is playing the pig to eat the tiger again. Damn, he wasn’t like this during training, how did he get so awesome the moment it became a competition?”

”Look at Squad Leader Old Hei’s expression, he seems a bit off!”

The new recruits exclaimed, and at the same time, some noticed that Old Hei’s face had slightly changed.

At this moment, Old Hei’s heart was like a stormy sea.

Damn it, Old Hei had never expected that Yang Han’s 400-meter obstacle course would be so fierce!

This was not a result that a new recruit who had only been training for a few days could run; it was like a veteran who had been in the army for more than five years.

At this time, Yang Han had already finished all seven items and was on his way back.

Old Hei hurriedly looked at his stopwatch, which displayed: 50 seconds.

”Hiss? So fast?!”

Old Hei’s eyes were practically staring straight. Under normal circumstances, the second lap would be a bit faster than the first. If he could reach 50 seconds on the first lap, wouldn’t the second lap break 50 seconds directly? It was simply heaven-defying.

Crossing one item after another.

Very quickly, he had finished all seven items.

Whoosh!

After finishing the seven items, Yang Han sprinted directly in front of Old Hei, feigning a mysterious look, and said, ”Squad Leader, how did I run? It shouldn’t be too bad, right?”

Old Hei’s eyes were fixed on the stopwatch. It was more than just not bad; it was excellent. In the 400-meter obstacle course, Yang Han had actually run a time of 1:27. This was too terrifying. You have to know that the best result Old Hei himself had ever run was only 1:28, and that was during his prime, the moment when his Physical Fitness was at its peak and his body was at its most coordinated!

And at that time, Old Hei had already been training for several years, using a very strong foundation of Cross-country Ability!

This Yang Han, he had only been training for a few days?

Running this result, are you messing with me or kidding me?

Old Hei found it hard to believe.

He took a deep breath: ”You damn brat, did you practice obstacle courses at home, and for several years too?!”

Yang Han smiled: ”Something like that, I practice occasionally.”

If he said he didn’t practice, Old Hei would probably hang himself immediately because the blow would be too great. Hearing Yang Han’s explanation, Old Hei’s expression finally returned to normal.

He glared fiercely at Yang Han: ”You brat! It seems you were deliberately hiding your skills, digging a hole for me to jump into, right?!”

Yang Han chuckled and didn’t answer. At this moment, he secretly checked his total emotion points: ”1200.”
