Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

29: Chapter 29 The Visitor is Not FriendlyThe group of new recruits looked solemn.

Lao Hei and Gong Jian both narrowed their eyes, looking toward those trucks.

They had known in advance that there would be some uninvited guests arriving for today’s recruit assessment.

And these uninvited guests were none other than the renowned Beast Battalion of the Marine Corps.

The recruits didn’t know much about the Beast Battalion, but it was different for Gong Jian and Lao Hei; they were well aware of what a terrifying unit the Beast Battalion was.

The Beast Battalion’s strength could be called the best among non-Special Forces units; every single soldier was held to the training intensity of Special Forces, which resulted in powerful individual capabilities.

Other units couldn’t help but feel fearful when facing them.

”The Beast Battalion has ill intent this time,” Lao Hei said slowly.

Gong Jian nodded and said, ”I heard from the Regiment Commander that these people are likely here to cause trouble today, though there is also an implication that it was authorized by the higher-ups.”

Lao Hei sighed and said, ”What are the higher-ups doing? Just to motivate other units, they’re letting the Beast Battalion clash with the Iron Fist Regiment? Why not let Wolf Fang come and spar with us instead?”

”Lao Hei, why do you seem to lack confidence?” Gong Jian said with a smile. ”Have you forgotten? We have Yang Han.”

”Yang Han...” Lao Hei mused. ”He is strong, but compared to those people in the Beast Battalion, he seems to be lacking a bit, doesn’t he?”

The two of them didn’t know that Yang Han had defeated Old Gao; if they had known, they probably wouldn’t have felt anything about the arrival of the Beast Battalion.

Regiment Commander Kang, the commander of the Iron Fist Regiment, oversaw the scene personally. After the Beast Battalion’s trucks stopped, the members of the Beast Battalion, dressed in blue, climbed out, with Long Baichuan in the lead.

”Regiment Commander Kang.” Long Baichuan said with a smile.

”Lieutenant Colonel Long, long time no see.” Kang Lei had a smile on his face.

At this moment, as soon as Xiang Yu got down, his gaze looked at the Iron Fist Regiment’s recruits with great provocation, his eyes filled with frivolity. It wasn’t just him; even Zhang Chong and A Gan were the same, wearing expressions of arrogance, though Jiang Xiaoyu’s eyes were a bit more shifty.

”Just judging from the surface, the quality of this batch of recruits in the Iron Fist Regiment is very low.”

Xiang Yu spoke lazily, his voice quite loud.

This sentence immediately aroused public anger. Gong Jian and Lao Hei snorted coldly; this person was truly arrogant to the extreme.

Did he really just come up and start mocking them?

Kang Lei’s expression changed slightly; this bunch from the Beast Battalion was really straightforward.

Just at this moment.

A voice came: ”You can’t tell anything from the surface. Back when we were fighting wars, our soldiers looked sallow and thin on the surface, with no combat power at all, but what was the result? The world’s number one, America, was still beaten by us until they fled in a sorry state.”

This calm voice immediately attracted the attention of everyone from the Beast Battalion.

When Xiang Yu saw the person speaking, his body thin, he couldn’t help but sneer: ”Is that so? The people of the Iron Fist Regiment sure have sharp tongues. I wonder if their other aspects are as good as their tongues.”

”Hehe.” Yang Han smiled calmly. ”Once our recruit assessment is over, we’ll know once we compare.”

Xiang Yu’s eyes narrowed immediately.

This Yang Han—he had thought he was arrogant enough, but he didn’t expect there to be an even bigger thorn in his side. The sharpness of his words left him speechless for a moment.

The Iron Fist Regiment recruits were secretly delighted; Yang Han was so good at talking. Gong Jian and Lao Hei also revealed looks of approval. Although this kid Yang Han was usually a troublemaker, right now was the time when a troublemaker was needed to step up.

The moment Long Baichuan, Jiang Xiaoyu, and the others saw Yang Han, their eyes were full of surprise.

Because just yesterday, Yang Han had just saved someone.

”I didn’t expect it to be such a coincidence that the person who saved them was from the Iron Fist Regiment?”

Zhang Chong snorted coldly.

”This kid really knows how to steal the spotlight...” A Gan said in a low voice, clenching his fists, the sound of bones rubbing against each other ringing out.

Yesterday, after they returned to the Beast Battalion, they were criticized heavily after their superiors found out they couldn’t save the person and that it was ultimately resolved by a talent from another unit.

They were scolded until they were speechless.

The matter of saving the person was originally the responsibility of the Beast Battalion, but they were powerless to act, which naturally made their superiors very unhappy, leading to a round of scolding.

Today, the members of the Beast Battalion arrived with a hint of anger. As luck would have it, the person who stole the Beast Battalion’s spotlight was from the Iron Fist Regiment.

Now, whether it was Xiang Yu, Zhang Chong, or A Gan, their gazes were unreadable.

They were preparing to make the Iron Fist Regiment lose face properly after today’s recruit assessment ended.

Standing beside Kang Lei, Long Baichuan’s eyes flashed, and he said with a smile, ”Alright, alright, we won’t disturb your recruit assessment. Please, go ahead?”

Kang Lei said calmly, ”Gong Jian, announce the start of the recruit assessment!”

”Yes.” Gong Jian nodded, came before the Iron Fist Regiment recruits, and said, ”I announce that the recruit assessment has begun. The first test is the 400-meter obstacle course. Everyone, take your positions.”

Under Gong Jian’s command, the many recruits headed to the test site.

Long Baichuan sat down, right beside Kang Lei.

He smiled and said, ”Regiment Commander Kang, your Iron Fist Regiment has produced an extraordinary person. The kid who spoke just now has some ability; he saved our Navy’s Staff Officer Shen yesterday.”

”I have also heard about this; this kid has always been good.” Kang Lei nodded and said.

On the other side, Xiang Yu and the others crossed their arms, coldly watching the people undergoing the recruit assessment.

Following Gong Jian’s order, the 400-meter obstacle course began.

”Why are these people running so weakly? Did they do it too much last night?” Xiang Yu saw that a few recruits were very slow and immediately sneered.

”The Iron Fist Regiment’s recruits, it seems, are nothing more than this.”

”Hehe, keep watching.”

The cold words of Xiang Yu and the others made the many company commanders on the side raise their eyebrows, feeling that this bunch was very arrogant.

However, they couldn’t say anything because some recruits were truly miserable to watch while running.

When He Chenguang, Wang Yanbing, and Li Erniu were running the 400-meter obstacle course.

Xiang Yu said calmly, ”These few actually look like people; they run quite well.”

But, it was merely ’quite well’; for Xiang Yu, it didn’t count for anything at all.

Lao Hei’s expression darkened. He Chenguang didn’t count for anything in Xiang Yu’s eyes?

One had to know that except for Yang Han, He Chenguang was the recognized second-best among the recruits. If the second place didn’t count for anything in Xiang Yu’s eyes, his standards were simply too high.

Next, it was Yang Han’s turn to test.

Xiang Yu, Zhang Chong, A Gan, and the others looked at him.

Xiang Yu’s eyes narrowed. He had also been scolded by his superiors for failing to lead his troops well. Since learning that this kid Yang Han was the one who stole the spotlight from the Beast Battalion, Xiang Yu naturally had to pay close attention.

”I wonder what kind of results this little brat with the slick tongue can run?” Xiang Yu sneered, preparing to watch Yang Han’s show.
