Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

197: Chapter 198 A Trillion-Dollar Business Empire Vanishes into Thin Air!Inside the trading room of Singularity Technology’s headquarters, the blue light from electronic screens filled the space. Dozens of traders sat before their computers, fingers hovering over keyboards, eyes fixed on the flickering stock data on their screens, their breathing shallow. Their boss, Zhang Fan, stood before the main screen in the center of the room, dressed in a black suit, his face as cold as ice, and the atmospheric pressure around him so low it was suffocating.

”All stocks in the Tianhua series, including Tianhua Pharmaceutical, Tianhua Real Estate, and Tianhua Ventures, are to be added to the short-sell list.” Zhang Fan’s voice was devoid of emotion, yet carried an unquestionable authority. ”Regardless of the cost or the volume of sell orders, take them all. Smash them through the floor!”

The trading director, Old Chen, snapped his head up, his eyes filled with shock. ”President Zhang, the total market value of the Tianhua series is still nearly ten billion. Shorting them regardless of cost means we might have to bear...”

”Money is not the issue,” Zhang Fan interrupted, pointing at the K-line chart of ”Tianhua Pharmaceutical” on the main screen. ”I don’t want profit. I want it to completely disappear from the stock market within the day. Now, execute the order.”

”Yes!” Old Chen no longer hesitated and immediately issued the command into his microphone. ”Attention everyone! Level 1 short-sell order. Target: all Tianhua series assets. Accept all sell orders without limit. Begin execution!”

The moment the command was given, the sound of rapid typing filled the trading room.

On the main screen, Tianhua Pharmaceutical’s stock price had been struggling at the delisting threshold of 1.2 yuan. In the next second, a dense flood of sell orders surged from the bottom of the screen like a black tide, instantly swallowing the buy orders.

1.1 yuan, 1.0 yuan, 0.9 yuan... The stock price plummeted in a cliff-like drop at a rate of 0.1 yuan per second. The numbers on the screen turned red, so piercing that people dared not look directly at them.

”Tianhua Real Estate has broken below 0.8 yuan!”

”Tianhua Ventures has triggered the temporary trading halt mechanism!”

”The exchange has sent an inquiry letter asking if there is malicious short-selling!”

The reports from the traders rose and fell. Old Chen held his walkie-talkie, his voice slightly urgent. ”Reply to the exchange that this is normal market behavior and all transaction records are traceable! Additionally, notify our partner institutions to follow suit with short-selling and increase the intensity of the sell-off!”

Zhang Fan stood where he was, watching the falling numbers with a cold gaze. He picked up another dedicated line and dialed the contact group for the ”Qidian Alliance” members—a group consisting of top entrepreneurs from Jiangcheng and across the country. Some were in manufacturing, others in finance; all were partners Zhang Fan had brought into the alliance over the years to share resources and develop together.

”This is Zhang Fan.” His voice reached every member’s receiver through the phone. ”I am notifying everyone now: within thirty minutes, cut off all cooperation with the Wang family’s industries—including but not limited to raw material supply, channel agencies, and project investments. Anyone who fails to execute this on time or continues to cooperate privately will be considered an enemy of Zhang Fan. The Qidian Alliance will permanently revoke their membership and terminate all cooperation.”

The other end of the line went silent for a moment. A few seconds later, responses came one after another: ”Understood! President Zhang, we will immediately terminate our real estate project cooperation with Tianhua Real Estate!” ”Notifying the Procurement Department now to stop purchasing medicine from Tianhua Pharmaceutical!” ”The Legal Department has been instructed to prepare the termination letters; they will be delivered to the Wang family’s enterprises within half an hour!”

No one dared to question Zhang Fan’s orders. Over the years, relying on Singularity’s technology and resources, most alliance members had made a fortune. They were well aware of Zhang Fan’s methods: he could lift you to the peak, but he could also make you crash to the bottom overnight.

After hanging up the alliance call, Zhang Fan dialed the dedicated line for the Legal Department. Wang Jingdong’s voice soon came through: ”President Zhang, we have finished compiling the dirt on the Wang family, including Tianhua Pharmaceutical’s fake medicine production records, Tianhua Real Estate’s illegal land acquisition evidence, and Wang Tianhua’s overseas money laundering flows...”

”Don’t wait, release it now.” Zhang Fan interrupted, his tone still icy. ”Divide all the dirt into three batches. Send the first batch to the CSRC and the NMPA. Send the second batch to all partner media outlets. Post the third batch directly on Singularity’s official website. Additionally, file separate lawsuits for every crime committed by the Wang family—the fake medicine case, the fraud case, the money laundering case—don’t miss a single one. I want them bogged down in lawsuits with no peace forever.”

”Understood! I’ll arrange for the release now. The legal team is ready and can submit the litigation materials at any time!” Wang Jingdong’s voice carried a hint of excitement—he had spent his life fighting lawsuits but had never seen such a ”thorough” revenge. Zhang Fan was pulling the Wang family up by the roots.

Finally, Zhang Fan picked up his private phone and dialed the presidents of several state-owned banks in Jiangcheng. Once the calls were connected, he skipped the pleasantries and said directly, ”President Li, this is Zhang Fan. Immediately freeze all corporate and personal accounts of the Wang family at your bank. All previously issued loans are to be called in early; they must be repaid in full within three days, or we will apply for asset auctions immediately.”

President Li on the other end hesitated for a moment. After all, the Wang family was an old client. But thinking of the Song family and Lu family behind Zhang Fan, and the current public outrage toward the Wang family, he immediately nodded. ”Rest assured, President Zhang. I’ll arrange for someone to handle it right away. All accounts will be frozen within half an hour, and the collection notices will be sent out now!”

One hour. Just one hour.

On the trading room’s main screen, Tianhua Pharmaceutical’s stock price finally stopped at 0.3 yuan, triggering the delisting mechanism for ”trading below 1 yuan for 20 consecutive days.” The stock code turned a piercing gray, with the large words ”Delisted” marked next to it. This pharmaceutical giant, which once had a market value of 12.8 billion, had completely vanished from the stock market under Zhang Fan’s short-sell order.

All of Tianhua Real Estate’s construction sites were halted—suppliers cut off steel and cement, construction teams went on strike collectively, homebuyers swarmed the sales offices demanding refunds, and the bank’s collection notices were plastered all over the company’s main gates.

Over a dozen projects invested in by Tianhua Ventures announced the ”termination of cooperation” overnight, all citing the reason that ”the investor was found to have illegal sources of funding.” Projects originally valued at billions instantly became neglected messes that no one wanted to touch.

The villas, luxury cars, and private jets under the Wang family’s name were all seized by banks. The accounts of Wang Tianhua’s wife, children, and even distant relatives—anyone who had financial dealings with the Wang family—were frozen. Even daily expenses became a problem.

The sound of typing in the trading room gradually stopped. The traders looked at the gray codes on the screen, their faces filled with shock. They had seen short-selling and corporate bankruptcies, but they had never seen a hundred-billion-scale business empire be completely dismantled and reduced to nothing from the financial, physical, and legal levels in just one short hour.

Old Chen walked up to Zhang Fan and handed him a glass of warm water. ”President Zhang, it’s all over. The Tianhua series has completely collapsed. All of the Wang family’s assets have been frozen; there’s no chance for them to make a comeback.”

Zhang Fan took the glass but didn’t drink. He just stared at the gray code on the screen. There was no joy in his eyes, only a hint of heaviness. He thought of the last words Li Yong said about ”saving people,” and the image of the old man being sent flying by the car. Although the fire of anger in his heart had subsided slightly, a weight still pressed down on him—the Wang family had fallen, but Li Yong would never come back.

”Over?” he repeated softly, his fingers gently rubbing the rim of the glass. ”It’s not over yet. Tianhua was just a pawn of the Tianming Group. The nails they’ve driven into Jiangcheng haven’t been fully pulled out yet. Moreover, Divine Doctor Li’s formula hasn’t been mass-produced. Those patients waiting for their lives to be saved are still waiting for a glimmer of hope.”

Old Chen was stunned for a moment before he understood Zhang Fan’s meaning—this revenge was not just for Li Yong, but also to oppose the Tianming Group and to protect the anti-cancer formula that could save countless people.

Zhang Fan set down the water glass and turned to walk out of the trading room, his steps firm. ”Notify the Technology Department to continue tracking the flow of Tianming Group’s funds. Have the R&D Team speed up the clinical trials for the formula and report any progress immediately. Also, arrange for Divine Doctor Li’s funeral. It must be grand; let everyone in Jiangcheng know that he was a hero who saved lives.”

The light from the electronic screens in the trading room remained bright, but the gray codes on the screen were like a heavy mark, reminding everyone: some bottom lines cannot be crossed, and some good people cannot be bullied. Once the red line is crossed, even a hundred-billion empire will crumble into dust in an instant.
