Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

182: Chapter 183 A letter of complaint sent to the health department! In the Chairman’s office on the top floor of the Tianhua Pharmaceutical Group headquarters, the Jiangcheng CBD outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was being shrouded in twilight. The neon lights flickered on one after another, yet they couldn’t cast even a hint of warmth into the room.

On the mahogany desk, a spread-out stock price report was particularly glaring—’Tianhua Pharmaceutical (002XXX)’ had ended the day with a 9.3% drop, nearly 2.5 billion in market value having evaporated. After hours, several brokerages had even downgraded its rating, with the note ’Associated with negative public sentiment, short-term pressure’ sticking in Wang Tianhua’s eyes like a thorn.

”Useless trash!”

A roar of fury broke the silence. Wang Tianhua grabbed the report and slammed it hard against Wang Haoyu’s face. The edge of the folder cut Wang Haoyu’s cheekbone, leaving a bright red bloodstain, yet he didn’t even dare to dodge. He stumbled back two steps, his knees weakening as he nearly collapsed to the floor.

”The foundation I spent thirty years building wasn’t for you to take out and turn into a joke!” Wang Tianhua walked up to Wang Haoyu and stared down at him, his eyes so gloomy they seemed to drip with malice. ”Being filmed harassing a girl, being exposed for hiring internet trolls, not even being able to control a single influencer, and finally letting the whole internet chase and curse Tianhua! Tell me, besides causing trouble, what else can you do?”

Wang Haoyu covered his face, his voice trembling. ”Dad, I didn’t expect... that Li Yong would have surveillance footage, or that someone would help him leak the evidence... I thought netizens would forget about this very quickly...”

”Thought?” Wang Tianhua let out a cold laugh, his knuckles cracking as he clenched his fists. ”Which of the things you ’thought’ actually happened? I’m not angry because you did something foul; I’m angry because you played a winning hand so terribly!” He paused, his tone gaining a hint of disappointment. ”I originally thought this public outcry could ruin Li Yong’s reputation. Even if we couldn’t get the formula, we could at least stop him from collaborating with Zhang Fan. And the result? Now he’s become the ’falsely accused divine doctor,’ while we’ve become the ’evil forces,’ and even the stock price has collapsed!”

He walked to the liquor cabinet, poured a glass of strong spirits, and downed most of it. The spicy liquid didn’t suppress his anger; instead, it made the ruthlessness in his eyes even heavier. ”I assumed it was just warm-hearted netizens or some media outlet looking for clicks that leaked the surveillance and transfer records... I didn’t expect that I overestimated these people’s sense of justice and underestimated your incompetence.”

Wang Haoyu hung his head, not daring to respond—even now, he didn’t know that Zhang Fan’s PR team was precisely manipulating the reversal of public opinion behind the scenes; he simply thought his luck was bad and that he’d been caught by ’passersby.’

”Public opinion is a child’s toy, flipping back and forth without any certainty.” Wang Tianhua put down his glass, his gaze suddenly becoming resolute. ”Since Li Yong wants to rely on ’rules’ to clear his name, then I’ll use real rules to play him to death!”

He grabbed the internal phone on the desk and dialed the number for the Legal Department, his voice cold without a trace of warmth. ”Have Zhou Ming come to my office immediately. Bring all available personnel. You must be here within five minutes!”

Five minutes later, Legal Director Zhou Ming rushed into the office panting, holding a thick stack of legal statutes and case collections. ”Chairman, you were looking for me?”

”Sit.” Wang Tianhua pointed to the sofa but didn’t sit himself, pacing around the desk. ”I want you to draft a whistleblowing report overnight, reporting Li Yong for illegal medical practice and causing a ’major medical accident.’”

Zhou Ming froze for a moment, subconsciously flipping through the materials in his hands. ”Chairman, but Li Yong’s medical records... are mostly positive feedback from villagers, and now the internet is full of voices apologizing to him. We don’t have any real evidence...”

”If there isn’t any, then make it.” Wang Tianhua interrupted him, his tone brook no argument. ”Forge twenty ’victim’ medical records—from ten years ago to now, covering back pain, stomach issues, and hypertension. Each one must clearly state ’condition worsened after treatment by Li Yong,’ such as ’gastric bleeding after taking herbal medicine’ or ’numbness in lower limbs after acupuncture.’ Find ten ’witnesses,’ have them sign and leave fingerprints, record video testimonies with old country houses as backgrounds to make it look authentic. Then forge a ’consultation opinion’ from the City First Hospital, stating that Li Yong’s herbs contain ’excessive Aconite’ and ’heavy metals exceeding standards,’ causing damage to liver and kidney functions.”

He leaned over the desk and pointed at a blank sheet of paper, sketching the framework of the material. ”The beginning should cite Article 24 of the ’Physicians Law’—’No one shall engage in medical practice without being registered and obtaining a practice certificate.’ Attach copies of ’victim’ ID cards, medical record photos, and stamped ’consultation opinions’ in the middle. The end should demand ’strict investigation and handling to maintain medical order and protect patient rights.’ It must be written more realistically than the truth, so that no one can find a single flaw.”

Zhou Ming’s palms were sweating as he listened, and he could barely hold his pen. ”Chairman, this... if this is found out, it counts as false accusation and framing. Our Legal Department...”

”Found out?” Wang Tianhua glanced at him, his eyes full of disdain. ”In Jiangcheng, who would investigate materials submitted by me, Wang Tianhua? Just do it. If something happens, I’ll take the fall.”

Zhou Ming didn’t dare to argue further and could only nod. ”Yes, I’ll arrange for people to work overtime now. I guarantee the materials will be ready before five o’clock tomorrow morning.”

”Once it’s done, it’s not for me to see.” Wang Tianhua walked up to Zhou Ming and patted his shoulder, his tone carrying an imperceptible threat. ”You personally make a trip and split the materials into two sets—one to be delivered to Director Zhang of the Provincial Health Commission, tell him ’it’s a matter Wang Tianhua entrusted to him,’ and he’ll know what to do. The other set goes directly to the Criminal Investigation Corps of the Provincial Public Security Department. Find Captain Li and say Li Yong is ’suspected of endangering public safety with toxic herbs,’ and request a special investigation team be formed as quickly as possible.”

Zhou Ming’s heart jolted—the Provincial Health Commission and the Provincial Department were connections Wang Tianhua had cultivated for decades. Usually used to smooth over business relations, they were now being used against a folk doctor. It was clear Wang Tianhua truly wanted Li Yong dead.

He quickly complied. ”I understand. I’ll go first thing tomorrow morning and ensure they are delivered personally.”

After Zhou Ming left, only Wang Tianhua remained in the office. He picked up his phone and dialed a number with no contact name, his tone instantly shifting from ruthless to respectful. ”Hello, Mr. Bishop, this is Wang Tianhua... Yes, the previous public sentiment had some setbacks, but it’s been handled... An official investigation team will intervene tomorrow, and Li Yong will be under control soon... Rest assured, the formula will definitely be obtained; it won’t affect Tianming Group’s ’Life Science’ project... Good, I await your instructions.”

Hanging up, Wang Tianhua walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the endless stream of traffic below. A cruel smile curled at the corner of his mouth—what he wanted was never simple ’suppression,’ but a ’strike at the root.’

By using official power to convict Li Yong, even if the case was eventually overturned, Li Yong’s medical qualification would be gone, and no one would dare trust his formula again.

At that time, he would use ’helping to clear his name’ as a condition to force Li Yong to hand over the formula, gaining the benefits without getting his own hands dirty.

Meanwhile, in the CEO’s office of Singularity Technology, Zhang Fan had just finished a meeting with Director Lin. He was looking at the trending data for ’#Wang Haoyu Get Out of Jiangcheng#’ on the screen, a hint of a smile on his lips—they had won this PR war completely.

But just then, a sharp system notification sound suddenly rang in his mind. The pale blue interface was instantly covered in blood-red, and a line of bold warning text stung his eyes:

[Red Crisis Alert! Official forces have intervened!]

[Detected that Tianhua Group Chairman Wang Tianhua has submitted forged whistleblowing materials to the Provincial Health Commission and the Provincial Public Security Department through his connections, accusing Li Yong of ’illegal medical practice causing major medical accidents’ and ’suspected endangerment of public safety’!]

[The Provincial Health Commission has partnered with the Provincial Public Security Department to form a special investigation team, expected to arrive in Jiangcheng within 24 hours to officially launch an investigation into Li Yong!]

[Crisis Level: S++ (Ultra-High)! Suggestion: Immediately activate the ’Official Relations Emergency Plan,’ collect ironclad evidence of Wang Tianhua’s forgeries, and simultaneously contact trustworthy official personnel to provide testimony for Li Yong!]

The smile on Zhang Fan’s face vanished instantly. His fingers clenched tightly, and his phone dropped onto the desk with a ’clack.’ He had originally thought the Wang family’s counterattack would at most be business tactics, but he hadn’t expected Wang Tianhua to directly wield the most lethal ’weapon of power’—the intervention of an official investigation team was scarier than any army of internet trolls.

Once Li Yong was taken away for investigation, even if he could eventually clear his name, he would be dragged through a long legal process. The Wang family would then take advantage of the situation to seize the anti-cancer formula.
