Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

177: Chapter 178 I’ll make the whole internet curse him!Zhang Fan’s pupils contracted sharply, and he understood everything in an instant—this was the true goal of Tianhua Group, no, of Tianming Group!

Star Core Engine, medical ai, anti-cancer formula; what Tianming wanted to monopolize were all the top-tier technologies capable of changing the industry landscape!

They wanted all the technology and technical expertise in the country!

Wang Haoyu’s revenge was just a smokescreen; snatching the formula was the fundamental goal. Even the charge of ”practicing medicine without a license” was a trap set to force Li Yong to hand over the formula!

”The chairman of Tianhua Group, who is also Wang Haoyu’s father, has long wanted to get involved in the biomedical field,” Zhang Fan said in a deep voice. ”I’ve checked Tianhua’s background before; their largest shareholder is Qiming Capital, a subsidiary of Tianming. Wang Haoyu doesn’t want the formula for himself; he’s snatching it for Tianming! They were afraid you would give the formula to someone else or cooperate with us, so they were in a rush to arrest you on charges of ’practicing medicine without a license’ to force you to hand over the formula while in prison!”

Li Yong shuddered, the teacup in his hand clattered onto the table, spilling tea everywhere. ”You mean... they’re doing this for the formula? I thought... I thought Wang Haoyu just held a grudge because I ruined his plans...”

”He does hold a grudge against you, but the formula is more important.” Zhang Fan crouched down and helped Li Yong pick up the teacup, his tone sincere. ”Uncle Li, did you mention the possibility of cooperation to Tianhua before?”

Li Yong nodded, his eyes filled with regret. ”At the end of last year, people from Tianhua found me and said they wanted to cooperate with me to develop the formula. They promised me shares and said they would build a pharmaceutical factory so more cancer patients could use the medicine. I was tempted at the time, thinking it would be a good thing to benefit the world, but later, seeing Wang Haoyu’s character, I completely gave up on the idea. I would rather let this formula rot in my hands than give it to people like them; otherwise, they would definitely sell the medicine at exorbitant prices and harm patients!”

He looked at Zhang Fan, a glimmer of hope gradually igniting in his eyes. ”Young Manager Zhang, I know you are confronting Tianming Group, and I know you are developing medical ai to help more people. If this formula stays in my hands, Wang Haoyu will snatch it sooner or later. But if I give it to you, perhaps it can truly be put to good use. However, right now... I can barely protect myself, and I can’t even safely hand the formula over to you.”

”Uncle Li, don’t worry.” Zhang Fan held Li Yong’s hand, his tone firm. ”We can break the ’practicing medicine without a license’ trap. Zhou Yurou has already contacted a friend at the Health Commission. You have been practicing medicine for decades, have the reputation of the villagers, and have cases of patients you’ve cured; you can definitely apply for the ’Special Approval Qualification for Folk Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners.’ As long as we can get it approved today, Wang Haoyu’s report will be useless.”

He paused and added, ”As for the formula, write it down now, and I will have someone take it to a safe place for safekeeping. Wang Haoyu’s people are watching the clinic, so we will use stillness to control movement. Isn’t he trying to hire people to come for treatment? We will have people from the Legal Department disguise themselves as patients, record their conversations, and obtain evidence of his ’intentional false accusation.’ Then, not only can we clear your name, but we can also countersue him for framing you!”

Gu Jingshen immediately chimed in, ”Right! I’ll find a few more friends to keep an eye on the people Wang Haoyu hired. As soon as they show up, we’ll subdue them and make them admit that Wang Haoyu instigated this! I don’t believe that with solid evidence, the Wang family can still cover the sky with one hand!”

Li Yong looked at the two young men in front of him, his eyes gradually welling up. He had originally thought he could only resign himself to his fate, never expecting that there would still be people willing to take the risk of offending Tianming to help him. He stood up, walked to the inner room, and took an iron box from under the bed. After opening it, inside was a stack of yellowed paper, covered in brush-written herb names and dosage combinations—it was exactly that anti-cancer formula.

”I’ll leave this formula with you.” Li Yong handed the formula to Zhang Fan, his tone solemn. ”I only have one request: if it can actually be put into production in the future, you must make it affordable for ordinary patients. Don’t let it become a tool for a few to make money.”

Zhang Fan took the formula, carefully put it away, and nodded vigorously. ”Rest assured, we will definitely do it.”

Night gradually shrouded the area, the lights of the clinic turned on, reflecting the busy figures of the three. Zhang Fan looked at the anti-cancer formula in his hand, knowing clearly—this was not just a prescription; it was another trump card to use against Tianming.

On the other side, in a luxury villa in the western suburbs of Jiangcheng, the light of the crystal chandelier spilled onto the million-dollar leather sofa, yet it could not illuminate the ferocity on Wang Haoyu’s face.

He smashed the red wine glass in his hand hard against the floor, crimson wine splattering all over the expensive carpet, and roared at the dejected bodyguards in front of him, ”Trash! A bunch of trash! You couldn’t even handle one old man, and you were scared off by that kid Zhang Fan? What use are you to me!”

The bodyguards lowered their heads even further, and no one dared to respond—just now at the clinic, Zhang Fan’s calm eyes, the two martial artists brought by Gu Jingshen, and the vaguely visible surveillance cameras at the entrance all made them afraid to act rashly, so they could only return the way they came.

”Young Master Wang, please calm down.” A man wearing a custom-made suit and gold-rimmed glasses stood up from the sofa; it was Zhang Tao, the chief lawyer hired by the Wang family.

He adjusted his glasses, his tone as cold as ice. ”Hard tactics really won’t work. Behind Zhang Fan is the technology alliance of the Lu family and the Song family, as well as connections with the police; moving against him is equivalent to poking a hornet’s nest. But to deal with Li Yong, a folk doctor with no background, there are plenty of soft methods.”

Wang Haoyu gasped for breath, irritably tugging at his tie. ”Soft methods? What soft methods? I don’t care what tricks you use; within tomorrow, you must make him hand over the formula, or else my father won’t be able to answer to the people at Tianming!”

Zhang Tao walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the night outside, a sinister smile curling at the corners of his mouth. ”Since they are prepared for the ’practicing medicine without a license’ trap, we’ll change direction—let’s make him ’treat human life like grass.’ Li Yong has been practicing in the suburbs for decades; there’s bound to be some patient he didn’t cure. As long as we ’process’ it a little, then pay for internet trolls, we can fabricate a story about a ’folk miracle doctor killing a patient’ and blow the public opinion out of proportion.”

He paused, turned to look at Wang Haoyu, his eyes full of calculation. ”By then, regardless of whether the Health Commission has approved the special qualification, netizens will curse him as a ’quack’ and a ’murderer.’ Hospitals won’t dare to cooperate with him, and the villagers won’t dare to seek his medical advice. He will become a street rat, socially dead. Then we will send people to ’negotiate,’ and with him having no way out, would he still refuse to hand over the formula?”

”Good! This idea is good!” Wang Haoyu’s eyes lit up, the fury on his face instantly replaced by excitement. He slapped his thigh, his tone ruthless. ”I want the whole internet to curse him! I want him to be pointed at wherever he goes! I want to see how he can still be tough once he loses his reputation as a ’miracle doctor’!”

He immediately took out his phone, opened his banking app, his fingers operating rapidly on the screen, and said to Zhang Tao, ”I’m transferring five million to you. Use all your resources immediately—internet trolls, marketing accounts, and even some small media outlets. The faster, the better. Tomorrow morning, I want to see the topic ’Li Yong treats human life like grass’ on the trending list!”

”Rest assured, Young Master Wang.” Zhang Tao received the transfer notification, a satisfied smile on his face. ”I know a few teams specializing in public opinion management. They can get the topic fermenting within three hours, ensuring Li Yong has nowhere to hide.” After saying this, he picked up his briefcase and walked quickly out of the villa to arrange the public opinion attack.

Wang Haoyu remained alone in the living room, looking at Li Yong’s file on his phone, his eyes full of malice—not only did he want to snatch the formula, but he also wanted to ruin Li Yong’s reputation to avenge the time he ”ruined his plans,” and furthermore, let Zhang Fan know that there is no good ending for those who go against him, Wang Haoyu!
